So it was a great bed to sleep in , but the neighbors were super loud , hotel is a little outdated, pool also closes early:/ gym was good , everything worked. Overall I would stay again if I needed to lay my head, but not my preferred.

We have always enjoyed staying at a Holiday Inn. The place was lovely and staff very friendly. The parking lot needs to be paved again. Adding better lighting in back area would make people feel safe.

Other than the key cards not working and having to go back and forth for a new one, the advertised pool is not and “indoor “ pool per say, the water was temped for a warm summer day but the pool area was freezing. I booked here because of the pool for the kids……

Great location and absolutely lovely team of people that work here! The hotel is old, very old, old showers, old carpets, bedding that needs a change, dark and dated, gym is old, pool is old, it just needs work, team is there, work needs to be done

Rooms need a little updating but the bigger issue is the elevator. Checking in the elevator smelled like stale cigarettes and checking out it smelled like stale cigarettes and a little marijuana. The elevator door looks horrible. Breakfast is always great though! Superior breakfast. And other than the elevator the room was clean and well maintained…just maybe some updating needed. Conveniently located. Easy parking and decent price. Just please give the elevators some attention.

We waited for two hours for our room and our room was't cleaned well. The bedspread was pulled up a little and a few bath towels were left butm no handtowiels or facecloths. We also didn't receive any clean cups and not all garbage was emptied.

I found a bedbug in the morning- took photos. Reported it and asked for follow up as to whether there were more upon inspection. I had to call 3 times and email twice to get a response. I do believe this was unusual.

I found bed bugs in the my room. I reported it to the front desk. I also took the live bed bug in a cup to the front desk as proof. They moved me to another room. I found 2 bed bugs and bed bug eggs in the new room as well. The front desk told me that they couldn't issue a refund after i requested it. So I packed my things and checked out of the hotel. I would not recommend.

Our room appeared clean, but for some reason I keep smelling vomit. I had the cleaning lady check n I had a scented candle melting which could of contribute to the smell. However, I turned it off for a day n still smell it. I would of given the place a 5 Star, but I couldn't due to the smell. We had to clean the car, due to seagulls droppings n when we got home, we washed the car because the front of the car was full of more droppings and it hard to remove it and it stains your car if you take too long to clean it. They have signs all over the place, stating "they not responsible for anything that happens to your car. We parked away from the hotel, but the seagulls occupy the roof and as they flying to the roof they're dropping on your cars. I think anywhere you park, you may be hit with their droppings. The front desk service was great n the restaurant was also great.

Our room, at first, appeared to be comfortable and quiet. The quietude changed in the middle of both nights. The refrigerator began making a very loud rattling noise; was it the compressor? fan? motor? I couldn't unplug the fridge without upsetting the television. It took about 45 minutes each night to maneuver the fridge into a position that would still the noise. I myself became rattled and couldn't get back to sleep. Because we had to get up early, both nights offered no rest. Moreover, there was scant amount of coffee in the room (and NONE in the lobby) to perk me up, so we had to find some elsewhere How could a major chain hotel get away with such shoddy service?

I was greeted by a man who diligently checked me into the room I reserved. The room is quite large with a comfortable chair and ottoman, which I like having in a hotel. The King bed is clean and comfortable. I believe my room has been renovated as the flooring and paint seem new. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn in New London, Connecticut.

I was taking my Mom out for her 83rd Birthday. We stayed here because it was close to the water and close to the casino. The room was spacious and the bed was like sleeping in a cloud. It was so comfortable. She had one of the best rests she has had in a long time. Thank you!

The front desk girls were super helpful. We added one night reservation last minute because the schedule has changed. They helped us to keep the same room without much effort. They also let me use a large room at night for Zoom call, so my child can sleep on time in the room. Excellent stay

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. First of all, there was no one at the front desk when I checked in at 10pm, but after a while, a staff member came back from outside. Also, the door to the room could not be locked from the inside. Furthermore, the hair dryer did not work. There was no front desk number on the phone, and no one answered the phone even though I called the front desk multiple times via the hotel's number that I got from IHG call center. Since no one answered the phone, I went to the front desk, but there was no one there either. The staff member who was there when I checked in was eating something on the nearby sofa. I asked for the hair dryer to be replaced, but they did not do so. The building was old and dark, and there was no staff working properly. I think I was unlucky in many ways, but this was the level I paid about $200 a night. This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, with only very disappointing memories. I will never stay again, but I hope others do not have the same experience.

Everything about our stay was perfect! At check-in, Jake was incredibly welcoming and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting him. We also had a fantastic dinner in the hotel restaurant, La Luna, and our server, Christian, was wonderful! The room was spotless, and this will now be our go-to hotel in New London. Perfect place to stay that is close to Connecticut College, in walking distance to lots of breakfast places and coffee shops and walking distance from the train station! Very convenient! The staff was awesome, pleasant and professional. We had a perfect stay!

We had an issue checking in - they claimed that my credit card was declined, yet the charge was on my credit card bill 3 weeks before our check-in. I told them that I was NOT going to let them charge my credit card again. Hotels.com was amazing and called the hotel right away and the new employee was able to figure out a solution to the problem (without the help of her manager who wouldn't return her text or call). I appreciate the helpfulness of this employee! We also were only given 1 adult free breakfast coupon when we checked in with 1 adult and 3 children (each child was supposed to get a free breakfast coupon as well). Finally, we saw a mouse run across the restaurant. However, the double queen room (and bathroom) was very large, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was clean and quiet, and the parking lot was well-lit at night. It was also 800 feet from an amazing coffeehouse (since the breakfast was NOT great - but at least it was free).

This hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance to the New London waterfront, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are a good size but, as a single traveler, this wasn't terribly important to me. Room amenities, like bathroom, were a little dated. It's a good hotel and I have no complaints, but perhaps slightly overpriced.

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was horribly uncomfortable…we both had terrible back aches the next day. Public areas of the hotel need cleaning! For example, the glass partition at the front desk is filthy!! Breakfast was expensive and not good. The bacon on my breakfast sandwich smelled and tasted BAD!! The servers were very helpful snd cheerful.
