We hosted an event at the Courtyard Marriott of Waterbury. The staff was extremely attentive and paid attention to all of our needs with frequent check-ins from the staff during our stay. Our families felt the accommodations were good,food was delicious and stay was affordable. The cost of alcoholic beverages were a little pricey though, but we made it work.Special Thanks to Carlos,Chuck and Jazmin for making our Anniversary Celebration perfect! We will definitely book with them again for our future celebrations.

Clear, comfortable and well appointed room. Very friedly & helpful desk staff. Some strong security [some iffy--ie adjoining building & Italian restaurant had "security door" requiring room key but secuirty door wouldn't close. Nice little bar & cafe with a small menu but some nice varity. Interesting drink specials. Seemed like variety of drink options.

I was very impressed with this hotel -- a high-end bargain. The desk manager was friendly and helpful both at check-in and later when I asked her to change a $20. My room was spacious and clean with every amenity I could need. The bed was very comfortable. The fitness center was very well furnished. The lobby was surprisingly inviting and the cafe was attractive too (I didn't eat there but just passed through). I spent one night because I had a meeting to attend nearby and would definitely choose this hotel again if business brings me back to the area.

Pro's: Easy off and on to interstate, staff very friendly, two dining options inside, clean. Con's: Very noisy with traffic noise and sirens, even with us being on the 9th floor. Hotel is next to a hospital. Public parking deck is not free and did not appear to be monitored. No other parking option other than a few handicap spaces that are also not free, but are in front of the drive into the hotel.

The hotel advertises having a pool and hot tub. It doesn’t. We chose this hotel for that. The hotel is not very clean. Restaurant staff were mostly rude. A few nice ones. Front desk staff were the best part of the trip. They were friendly and accommodating. The bed as awful and the traffic outside was loud all night. Hotel not updated or overly clean.

Everything went well. My only issue is I don’t understand why you have to pay for parking when you are a paying guest. I do like that you can use your personal television criteria. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Waterbury not considered safest place yet parking garage was fairly secure (would have preferred 24/7 staff manning booth. Liked fact lobby could not be accessed without room key. If it were not for usage by housekeeping of fragrance's in rooms would have given an excellent review

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Waterbury for easy access to the highway. The staff is very friendly, courteous and willing to help. That said, this is probably the dirtiest hotel I have seen. Our first room smelled so badly of must and mold, we asked to be moved. The next room we were put in smelled like body odor. The telephone in the hotel was so dusty and dirty that I don’t think it’s ever been wiped. There were dirty hand marks and feet marks on the back of the door of the room. It was clear that the hallways have not vacuumed, nor was the furniture dusted. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. They gladly refilled it, but neglected to take out the old towels or provide new towels. I felt so uncomfortable that I slept in my clothes. Driving out of the hotel was difficult because you can only take a right turn, which brings you into a very bad area of town.

Overall the place is nice. The staff was nice. The room however was not at all what you expect after reading all the reviews. We had a room of two queen beds. The one bed was filthy- next to the ac unit- the ac was covered in dust. The one bed had a pillow with blood on it. I was not impressed at all. The shower pressure was good but took a while to get hot.

The room is purposely kept with very limited light to hide the dirtiness. There was human waste on the bedding which we discovered the next day. No room service for 3 days. Housekeeping cleaned the odd number rooms only..We insisted on having our room cleaned asked for manager but no avail. This place needs to be shut down- very unsafe from public health perspective!!

The staff were all welcoming and kind. Very sweet folks working at the bar/restaurant. Check-in was simple. Parking in the garage next door. And the sundry shop on site was well stocked. The room was clean with plenty of outlets. Replacing the carpet with tile would be a nice upgrade.

The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional and the lobby coffee,cider, and cookies were a pleasant surprise. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star rating is because the sofa bed in the room had a large spill stain and made everything feel just a little bit dirty.

Although the hotel accommodations were excellent, THIS IS ONE OF THE NOISIEST PLACES I HAVE EVER STAYED. Neither my wife nor I got any sleep due to the outside noise. I know you can't control that but I think you need to know that that factor really influences my decision as to whether or not I will return. In this case, I won't.

The property was in a good location for our trip. We were able to check in a little early which was very helpful. We loved being able to walk to the Mattituck Museum. The room was fine. We found the bed to be on the hard side, which would have been okay 30 years ago when we were not afflicted with back and joint issues. The AC unit was very noisy and despite being on the ninth floor there was a lot of noise from cars with loud mufflers until very late at night. We decided to eat at the Bistro in the hotel and waited a very long time for a staff member to appear and take our order. We had started to walk away when someone did show up. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely once there.

The air conditioner sounded like a jet airplane taking off. We were moved to a different room and that air conditioner was also extremely loud. We tur ed it off and the construction noise outside was also loud. Did not get a good night 's sleep.

The stay was fantastic. The fact that there was a starbucks made my wife very happy but on our last night of our stay there was a bit of a scare that quite honestly could have escalated into something terrifying. There was a man who somehow gained access to our room (luckily we had the door latch on). The man was trying to get in to our room after gatting it opened. We dont understand how this guy got a key to our room. The man was naked from the waist down and was very drunk. He was also very rude when we confronted him. We called front desk twice and they managed to get him into his correct room two doors down. This could have been dangerous ..we could of reacted and hurt this man, or he could have hurt us while trying to get in the room...This is unacceptable...a person should feel safe in their room.

Customer service was excellent. This was not my 1st stay in this hotel and once again Carlin helped me at check in and was beyond welcoming. Her attitude is what sets my stay experience here apart from other hotels.

We stayed for graduation due to the convenient location to the Palace Theater. The hotel was nice, but it appeared they were very unprepared for the amount of guests who stayed for graduation. There were not enough staff to turnover rooms, check-in guests, or attend to guests needs. When we arrived guests were all over the lobby waiting for a room. There is one “restaurant” in the hotel (a connecting restaurant was closed to to a water line break where we had originally made reservations). The hotel restaurant isn’t open from 2:00-4:00. We had a very early flight and were very tired and hungry after a long day of travel. We walked around the vicinity to find a restaurant, but we ended up back at the hotel since we couldn’t find anywhere that was open. We had to wait on the restaurant to open before we could finally eat. It was decent. The same restaurant had a line of guests to the elevator the next morning and the 2 staff couldn’t keep up with both calls and deliveries for room service and the guests in line. I think the overall experience would have been better if the restaurant would have been open all day and they had staffed up for such a big event. Otherwise the stay was fine.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel was not bad however the surrounding area makes the whole place seem shifty. There were many transient people hanging around at all hours of the night just outside. I fairly sure a few "working girls" were picked up in the morning from a long night out. There was also a heavy police presence for a few hours as I believe something happened with a vehicle stored at their parking garage (which is completely insecure) and has stairwells that smell like urinals. Hotel is fine, the area is suspect.

Downtown Waterbury in general is limited in what’s around it in terms of dining and amenities, so this hotel is located centrally but there wasn’t much around it. This was the best option available to stay in Waterbury. I probably wouldn’t stay here again in the future but it wasn’t because of the hotel, but rather the city itself.

Bistro automatically added 18% for 2 people. I wouldn't have caught it if the young lady didn't show me the sign. I would have tipped higher in cash. She lost. Toilet was noisily 'running', and tho Engineering Corey responded quickly and thought he fixed it, it continued the noise when we returned to the room that night, and kept waking us up. The toilet seat was very loose and shifted upon sitting. When we pulled the table out to have a nightcap, we found it was dirty and had leftover wrappers from previous occupant. Told this to the front desk young lady and tho she murmured an apology, gladly took my credit card and wished me a good day. No real effort placed to rectify. Marriot is usually held to a higher standard and I was disappointed. Will try Hilton next visit

Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the front desk folks were polite and helpful. The Bistro had a nice menu and accommodating staff. Parking garage on-site was very convenient, and access to I-84 on departure was simple. My only concern was finding a VERY slippery shower floor. Before I let my wife use it, I put down a bath towel. Not so great for housekeeping, but my wife said it was wonderful.

The administrative group should conduct a walk-through of this location. Considering the volume of traffic and the anticipated business/revenue, a significant renovation appears to be warranted. The kitchen staff should consistently prepare dishes according to the menu. If I order the kale chicken flatbread, I expect that specific item. Should a substitution be necessary, it would be appreciated if a discussion could occur with me beforehand. I would prefer not to be surprised by an unexpected alteration to my order.
