Hampton Inn Waterbury

While the staff is very helpful and professional always the facility lacked. They h a ve the only pool in a hotel in Wtby. It was down the 7 days i was there. 2 elevators, one worked. 2 tread.ills in mini gym, neither worked? Very disappointing

An elevator out of order. Pool in disrepair. In places it looked shopworn

Can tell that this is an older property. Ice machine was broken. Pool was not accessible.

The jetted tub room was very nice. Exactly what I needed. The pool on the hand was dirty the whole stay. On my 2nd day, it was closed due to maintenance. I thought that they were cleaning it but afterwards it is still filthy. There was a film covering the top of the water and blotches with the white goo floating all through it. Very disappointed this is my second time staying here and I was unable to use the pool either time.

Only one elevator was working. Pool closed Closet door would not stay closed (swinging outward into room where is was passed every time you went to bathroom or left the room. Bug scurried across floor( big enough to catch attention but too quick to be identified) Otherwise bed was nice, room was relatively quiet, plenty of hot water.

I booked this hotel cause it had a pool the pool is green.I could have went somewhere else for way cheaper and the whole first floor smells like the sewer has backed up... super unhappy could have gone to a motel for 79 bucks... very unhappy and would like a refund

The staff was great. Coco at the desk was fantastic, very friendly & professional. The property is showing age, as is Waterbury in general. On a 6 day visit, the pool was closed 4 of those days, and extremely cold when.open. Out of 2 elevators, one doesnt work, nor did it work a year ago when i stayed there.

Good breakfast as always in a Hampton Inn. The rooms and hotel are clean. It has been renovated so overall it is in good condition. Only 1 of 2 elevators working and issues with the pool prevented its use but neither are the hotel’s fault. I’m sure they’ll be fixed.

Great staff. Nice breakfast. Clean. The building and finishes are dated. The bed was mostly comfortable. HVAC control in common areas was lacking and elevators had issues. One down, one that did not exude confidence. It was a good price for a good night of rest.

Most of the equipment in the gym was broken

Staff was professional. Rugs in room and bathroom floor were filthy. Elevators and treadmill were out of service. Bathroom sink kept filling up because sink filter was all clogged with hair.

Upon entering the room, it was very clean and smelled fresh. The surfaces were dust-free and the floor appeared it was freshly vacuumed.

The place is spotless, staff are very friendly. It is an older building but only lacks luster. The room is spacious, the bed was comfortable, I only needed a couple extra towels. Breakfast was very good and all I needed to start the day. The pool is great for a quick relaxing swim in the evening. The Staff could not be more helpful. I had family in St. Mary’s Hospital and this was conveniently close. The only complaint I could have is the landscaping leaves a lot to be desired and the exit to the Main Street, is a little blind. I am female and was a bit concerned getting to and from my car at first but then felt quite safe at night. Thank you!!!!

The rooms were very outdated and carpet had a bad odor. There was stains on the wallpaper of some kind of oil. Bathroom tubs were old and had mold in the corners. Unfortunately it was too late to find another close hotel there were none around for miles!

Our room was not vacuumed and the floor tile was extremely dirty. I walked on the floor and my feet were so dirty that the washcloth was black from washing them off. Mold and rust in the bathroom shower. The area around the property as extremely unkept. Grass and bushes so overgrown it made it difficult to see when leaving the property. A tree was broken over part of one of the exits of the property. The grass in the dog park area was at least 2 feet tall. The staff were all EXTREMELY KIND and CONCERNED when I shared my concerns with them about our room.

Handy to Chase Pkwy. Noises from I-84. Squekiest bed and bathtub. Convenience electric outlets barely hold a plug in. Breakfast was good. Curtains on traverse rod didn’t block lights from outside.

We did not get the room we signed up for. Instead of a king size bed, we were given a double bed. Also, the room faced the highway which made it difficult to fall asleep.

The walls are unfortunately very thin, and the noise was unbelievably intrusive. Other than that, I highly recommend this property.

Like: Location is close to where I need to work. Don't Like: The window blackout curtains don't cover the window properly. There were not a computer and a printer that I can use to print (I must go through front desk via a USB to print). These may be improved.

Very nice. The Wi-Fi and cellular service are limited.

The heater was incredibly loud and then the shower whistled. It was the loudest hotel stay I’ve ever experienced.

This hotel is usually my go to, however, this time my room #215 is located directly above the front entrance with the automatic doors opening and closing so loudly and non stop, as they do, as if they were in my room. Maybe next time ill just sleep in the lobby!

I stayed two days with my family at this hotel it was clean the staff were polite and always accommodating. Gabriel checked us in kept asking how he could be of assistance constantly checked pool area and replenished towels for guests awesome staff would recommend hope to be back soon

The staff was very helpful! Our trip was cut a day short due to weather and the hotel was able to refund me the 1 day because we had to leave early. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Unfortunatley, not a great experience. The elevator was out for the entire stay. Upon arriving, the front desk person watched me load all of my luggage onto a cart and then proceeded to tell me the elevator was out so i had to unload everything back off the cart and carry up the stairs. No offer of assistance. The thermostat and phone did not work for the entire stay. We were told we had to schedule room cleanings by calling the front desk with the room phone. Without a room phone, that obviously wasnt an option. On day two i went down for clean towels and no one was at the front desk. I waited for 10 minutes. I later went to the front desk and scheduled a room cleaning for the next day in which i was told was no problem. When we returned to the room that night, nothing was done in our room. We were in a non smoking room, but it had smelled of smoke for first day and a half. We received no pre warning of the elevator being broken and received no updates during our stay. Overall an unfortunate stay experience.

From check in to check out, this experience haa been horrendous for my family and me. During check in, the staff were only able to see one room, when I booked two. Then tried to turn me away because they’re “sold out”. I booked two rooms in advance! Then, after pleading with the guy, he was able to “find a room” which was not the room I reserved and it had a foul odor with damages all throughout the room. Since we traveled 10 hours to get here for my mom’s graduation we took it. The next day, I and my parents got stuck in the elevator! The fire department was called and we all had to jump out while being stuck between two floors right before my mom’s graduation! Over top of that the breakfast was horrible and made me sick to my stomach. If I can give zero stars I would! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

On the following day, the eggs were sitting in water, which further diminished the quality. The only redeeming option was the waffle station, which provided some consistency and reliability in an otherwise disappointing breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not improve the overall stay. It was extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. Despite setting the thermostat to 69 degrees, the room remained uncomfortably stuffy, making it difficult to relax. Housekeeping was another area of significant concern. On the second day of our stay, I noticed the towels had not been replaced. When I approached the front desk to inquire, the staff member responded dismissively, stating, "Well, you have to tell us if you want that or need something." This was frustrating, as there had been no mention of this policy at check-in, and it seems unreasonable to expect guests to know and request basic services like fresh towels. Additionally, her tone was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. When towels were eventually brought to the room, only two were provided, despite the fact that all used items—including hand towels, washcloths, and the shower rug—had been removed. None of those were replaced, which made the situation even more frustrating.

Shirley checked us in and made it such an easy process. She was great. Will definitely stay again.

This is our go to hotel for when we are visiting our family. Rooms were clean, breakfast was spit on, the staff were friendly and ready to help in all matters. Highly recommended staying here if you sre ever in Waterbury.

The staff was excellent from the manager to front desk to housekeeping ! I was there for a weekend an everyone was superb

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Very close to highway, noisy on the highway side. I would ask for a room on the opposite side from the highway if I stayed again.

This is one of the smaller Hampton Inns I’ve been to. It was clean, but the bathroom could use some work (it was ok, but squeaky shower and some chipped paint). The staff was wonderful and breakfast was nice. The highway noise was quite noticeable. Overall, the experience was positive.

It was a nice hotel, and our room was very clean which was greatly appreciated. It tucked back enough that there wasn't any road traffic noise, and the cutest local restaurants are only 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay was for one night only. Hotel in convenient and quiet location. Did not have much interaction with staff except at check in. FYI - There was a $50 charge required on a credit card that is to cover if you smoke in a non smoking room or if there are damages. Supposedly refunded in 4-14 days demanding in your bank. Do not read that when making reservation.

My car was stolen from the parking lot in the night.

It was easy to find, very nice and clean. Very quiet. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was yummy and had so many options to offer. We would stay here again. Loved it!

This property was horrible don’t book this hotel staff are rude they don’t smile the breakfast was horrible cold it wasn’t edible at all the food wasn’t even cooked right overall I will never stay at this hotel again even the supervisor was rude everything sucks literally .needs some improvements better staff , better food , n the juice machine wasn’t accurate it said apple juice but poured out water .

The employee was cooking for self blocking customers from taking food.She took all the kielbasa on 1 plate,all the omelets and making waffles.

Great property. Great stay. Excellent breakfast way above the normal continental type. Nice pool.

The only thing that I didn't like was the quality of the free breakfast. It was horrible, stale looking variety of bagels, bread, and the waffle maker was sloppy looking. Other than that, our stay was terrific!

Overall the hotel was clean and well kept. The pool was small, but nice. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. On saturday alot of things were empty; no creamer, bananas, ect. The two women who were doing breakfast were chatting and i had to ask them to bring out more. There was one women who did breakfast that was extremely rude, the other one was pretty friendly. The room was very clean however, the smoke detector had been damaged and there were a few other small things around the room

The rooms were clean the breakfast beat my expectation
