Check with seamless and easy however, the wait for the vehicle was forever. The valet messed with all my driver seat settings, and it was extremely expensive to park. There was no option to self park unless you had nowhere to be before 0900.

Hotel was within range of plenty of restaurants and cafes, room was clean, had a microwave and a mini fridge, housekeeping was prompt, only complaints I have is the parking situation (you have no choice but to use valet as they park the car for you in a locked garage, so you have to request the car 10 minutes in advance if you plan on going anywhere, and then you feel like you’re expected to leave a tip because they are valet even though you pay $59/night to park there), and the spot where you pull up to leave your car for valet is so small, it’s like playing Tetris when you have other guests trying to come and go and need to park so you don’t block oncoming traffic. And the shower in our room made both my boyfriend and I sneeze terribly every time we used it. Not sure if that’s because of the water or just our room, but we’ve never experienced anything like that before. I would stay here again if I couldn’t find anywhere else, I recommend to anyone not looking for anything overly fancy for a decent price, and be close to restaurants.

Great location to walk to food, stores, or sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant onsite was good and so close to public transportation (across street). Walk to White House maybe 5 mins. Hotel is clearly renovating some floors and phones and so forth, noise level was great and fairly clean considering. The biggest issue were the elevators. Honestly thought about downgrading a star because of such. We were on 14th floor. One worked consistently, the other would go in and out of service. The other two never worked. Took a good 5+ minutes every time and often had to pass people on other floors multiple times. All the crews used guest elevators, they should have something else for those guys. Very frustrating! Room was fairly clean, if you require perfection you will not be happy. Beds were comfortable, probably time to invest in upgraded pillows. Overall I liked the hotel and location for our family. If the elevators weren’t an issue would have been an excellent experience and YES I’ll stay there again.

I loved everything about the hotel, aside from the pool. The pool is in a basement, small, and depressing. Aside from that, I love it, especially the restaurant, which had great staff and the one time that my son and I had dinner there, it was great. I asked him several times, "Of all the places that we ate, what was your favorite?" His answer: "The tacos at the hotel." Go to The Third Rail. It is worth it.

Parking is 60$ a night plus fee for valet, when the parking garage right next door is only 40 on weekdays and 15 on weekends. Pool is murky and looks unhealthy. Beds were uncomfortable. Elevators were rough, made concerning noises and 1 of them were down for maintenance already.

Great location. Easy 5 minute walk to the White House, Smithsonian, Washington monument and National theater. Staff was very welcoming. We parked at a public lot - $15 per day, 100 yards to the hotel. Valet prices were crazy.

A lot of good things to say about the stay. Very fast check in. Lobby, elevators, restaurant, and room all very clean. Staff was very nice. For the price you absolutely can't beat it. The downsides, the hallways smelled strange. Maybe it's just a city smell I'm not used to, but it wasn't real pleasant and fortunately did not leak into the rooms. Also, the street was extremely noisy at night. We were on a lower floor and it was non-stop most of the night. We didn't end up using them but I did look at them and the exercise room and pool were a lot smaller than I anticipated so if you're used to suburban hotel pools and workout spaces, you will be disappointed.

The shower was dirty, and while the room was acceptable, the elevators were not clean. The pool was not disinfected; the water was cloudy, and there was no chlorine smell in the pool area. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and wait staff excellent. We were disappointed that we could not use the pool. The water was very cloudy and did not seem clean. Did see maintenance staff trying to fix it but to no avail. Overall everything was excellent except for the pool.

The rooms in this place were very nice and clean. When we checked in the woman was very nice and friendly. The rest of the time the front desk people weren’t so friendly and it seemed as though you were bothering them when you asked a question. The valet parking men were awesome!!! So friendly and accommodating. The worst experience we had was when we went to the pool. The water was cloudy but we just thought the chemicals were low. We went in and started finding toy rings on the bottom, stepping on them, so we took them out as we found them. That was ok. What wasn’t ok was I stepped on something then lost it, my boyfriend found it and picked it up and it was a piece of poop!!! I wanted to vomit!! I got right out and went to our room to shower. Maybe don’t let young kids in diapers allowed in the pool. Make sure it is clean and clear at all times!!

The room had an awful odor and did not look clean. We dealt with it as we were only there for 2 days but it was definitely one of the lower end hotels we’ve stayed in. We did like the area as it was safe and a short scooter ride away from most museums/monuments.

Metro directly across the street was key for sightseeing. Good hotel for families, spacious rooms, but the surrounding area is noisy and very busy as it is so close to mall. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are what one would expect for such a low price per night. They all need serious updating, but are clean in general. Room smelled a little damp and musty.

The hotel itself is fine, check in went smoothly and the bar staff a friendly. Food (wings) was average. The problem came when I went to make a coffee in the morning. The machine (in photo) had water left in the container from a previous guest which must have been a while ago due to the amount of fermentation that had accrued leaving a congealed substance inside the water housing. Safe to say, this is not emptied or checked on a regular basis. Heard of legionnaires disease?

I think your experience will be based on what room you get. I was unlucky enough to be given a room overlooking an external courtyard containing very very noisy air conditioning until. So the room was dark which was kinda depressing, and it was like sleeping next to a jet engine. Disappointing.

Rooms were average but decently clean other than carpet looked and felt dirty and room had a weird smell. Customer service was great. Wish we were able to check in early but it wasnt an option. Pool was small and had very strong chlorine smell. We were on the 8th floor, could hear some outside traffic but mostly just sirens and long engines, wasn't terrible. Otherwise we had a good stay.

The location was very good for walking and getting about. The room was comfortable but it had a mildew smell. The restaurant had a nice dinner menu and The breakfast buffet was good. All in all it was a good place to stay other than the room feeling damp and smelling mildew.

I stayed just one night - pretty standard room, which was clean and tidy. Dingy view directly into office block 20’ away even in 10th floor. Bedroom contained a huge nosy air con unit which woke me up every 40 or so minutes throughout the night but did keep room cool, and given it was 90 degrees plus outside this was a good thing. Towels were too small to cover a normal size human being and toilet paper holder was on the floor which is just odd. the location is great for nearby shopping and very close to White House and other sights. Overall it was okay for one night but wouldn’t stay longer.

Communication with the hotel was not good either before or after our stay. We were traveling as a family and, despite two previous attempts, it was not possible to get clear or consistent answers about whether our rooms could be adjoining until we were actually at the hotel on the first day of our stay. Only then were we told that the type of rooms we booked could not, in fact, adjoin. Not only that, they said that the rooms couldn't even be on the same floor. Both were important pieces of information that we could have used during either of our previous direct, phone conversations with hotel staff. Once we found out that the rooms could not adjoin, we ended up changing one of the rooms to a smaller room (which was fine) so that we could at least be on the same floor. It's been a week since we checked out and I have yet to see a receipt from our hotel stay, so I have no idea whether I was charged for the larger room or not, or anything else. In all, really poor communication.

It had its bumps but overall nice. I will say check in wasn't to bad but the guy wasn't your best check in. He's an older guy I believe whitish hair. We did need to call him three times we had no towels or toilet paper or tissues in the room so maybe let's say he sucks. We got there in the late afternoon; he wouldn't split the charges etc kinda forced it to happen on the guys when we were checking out at 6am.

Excellent hotel! Clean, comfortable and convenient to all the major sights. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly and patiently listened to my questions. The hotel was also budget friendly which was a good thing too! I will absolutely stay here again on my next visit to DC!

They were accommodating to an early check in, let us keep our bags secured even after check out and answered all our questions. The service was great. Facility was clean and tidy. Location was very central with close walking proximity to the sites including white house and museums. Really enjoyed our stay!

The staff at the front desk are excellent! However, the waitress really need to improve their attitude and serving manner. Let me explain, I got the free breakfast (buffet) and they give us the couple for it. Everyone knows buffet is people serving themselves. So, the tips are not really “mandatory”. However, the waitress gave us the worst face expression towards us that we ever experienced after she noticed we didn’t give 20% of the cost as the tips. And she used very cold language toward us as well and somehow “pushed” us to leave the table by taking away our plate and spoon and knife out of our table. The is the worst experience I had with waitress. Hilton, please take this seriously and teach your waitress properly. Or maybe you can pay your waitress more so that they are not thirsty towards our customers and lead us leave comments like this. Sorry about the long complaints but I felt very bad during my trip because of this.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We were able to see our nations Capital easily from this location. Just a short walk or scooter ride to the White House, National Mall, Capitol, and museums. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly.

Excellent location. Short walk to White House and museums. On opposite corner to McPherson Square Metro station where you can catch the silver line straight to Dulles International Airport (1 hour travel time). Breakfast good and waitress friendly and keeping things clean and tidy. Bedroom large and comfortable.

The Hilton Garden Inn was a nice stay, providing superb walking distance from all site seeing activities in the area. The surrounding area was somewhat safe and caused no concerns. Our room was nice and clean, however it did have an odd “musty” scent. The pool is unfortunately very small but decent if you have children. There is no complimentary breakfast and the paid breakfast within the hotel charges $18 for avocado toast but there is a Dunkin nearby. Overall our stay was pretty good and I would definitely consider returning.

Super convenient for a week stay. Metro station is literally across the entrance with 5-15 min ride to all major attractions. You can walk to some of the closest museums at the National Mall. No need to rent a car at all - 20 min with metro straight from the Ronald Reagan Airport. Great restaurants in the area.

I would not recommend eating dinner at the hotel restaurant -- it was not good. The waitress was good, but even though the restaurant was not filled, it took a long time for the food. And, I was surprised that there was a "refundable" service charge when I had prepaid for the entire stay.

A convenient and clean, nice but affordable alternative in the heart of DC. Friendly staff and the coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is overpriced, but that was my only complaint.

Very helpful and friendly staff and great breakfast! Excellent location and easy to get taxis. Safe area to walk to restaurants, bus stops, shops, and CVS. The bathroom could use updating but was very clean. The mattress was great. I have back issues and usually can’t get a good nights sleep in hotel beds, but I slept great in theirs. I was well rested every morning. I would definitely recommend staying here.
