Perfect location for a long weekend in DC. Close to the ball and lots of dining options. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Jim had great equipment and water bottles and fruit.

Convenient to most things. Room was clean. Our house keeping was wonderful! Pool was under construction week of July 4th. Kids were disappointed and so was I. I will call hotels directly to confirm they are in working order before booking from now on.

Could walk to all the museums easily. Parking through hotel was very expensive. $72/day plus $60 a day in taxes. Nice workout room.

Older but very nice hotel, with some great amenities. Very close to a lot of attractions and great places to eat. The parking rate is a little steep but it was very safe and worth while if you have a car. The valet and front desk host were very helpful.

Very awesome property and amenities. Great location and close to everything. Staff was highly attentive to our needs and was very punctual. The hotel and room was very clean, but I did deduct points due to my sheet having a slight stain and sink being clogged. The positive is that the staff came and corrected any complaints or concerns my family had.

Liked the convenience of the location and the friendliness and helpfulness of the “ground staff”. Didn’t like length of waiting time for elevators, no tissues in the bathroom, takes a “long time” for sink water to get hot, the bottom of the bathroom door is “mushrooming” (from a past flooding incident?), there was a screw on the floor and a mold spot in the upper door frame into the shower… also:$72 for overnight valet parking?

The building is beautiful. It’s well maintained and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The phones and tv didn’t work and the first day the maintenance didn’t show up. The second day they worked on the tv but 20 minutes later it stopped working. But we weren’t there to talk on the phone or watch tv. Their room service food was awesome. Bagel cream cheese and lox was delicious. Its location is the prime advantage. It’s walking distance to just about everything and only a 15 minute ride to DCA. It’s a typical cost for parking valet in any big city, expensive. O

The location can’t be beat. The room was large; there was a stain on the sheet but I didn’t notice until I pulled back the blanket to go to bed so I just let it go…however, at the price it shouldn’t have had a stain on the sheet. Lovely lobby and nice breakfast area.

Check in desk was often overwhelmed with a long queue. Internet was not free unless member of some club. That was the first time I’ve stayed anywhere without free basic internet for many years (including far more high-end hotels than this one). It’s unacceptable. It’s not the cost, it’s the greedy principle. You don’t charge for tap water, so don’t charge for internet. The bath/shower couldn’t drain water as fast as the shower provided it, so that the tub gradually filled during a shower. Seems like a simple plumbing issue that needs sorting out. Seems like the hotel spends money on a glamorous huge lobby but neglects several things more important to the traveller. On the up side, the staff were friendly and capable.

I have stayed here before but don’t think I will again. The shower facet wasn’t fully connect to the wall and the water temperature was either scalding hot or cold and the sink faucets were not matching on both sides and the tv picture was not clear. Just expected more for the price.

The hotel is overall great, it’s clean and the service is excellent. I especially liked the water pressure in the shower. The room amenities are a bit disappointing for a JW Marriott. The coffee machine was subpar, the TV signal was weak and choppy at times, and there was no safe in the room.

The location is amazing, right next to Freedom Plaza, National Theatre and just steps from the Mall. We had three adults in the room and they are NOT queen beds. So, be aware - they're full size mattresses. But it's a nice room and clean

Was not told when I checked in--or when I made the reservation--that I would be paying a $25 resort fee per room, per night. This was a surprise charge on my bill when I checked out. Not happy about the hidden fees. Glad I paid extra for rooms with view. But windows in upper level rooms very small--and room itself is quite small. Noisy refrigerator in room, so we unplugged it.

We will not stay here again. It was impossible to reach someone from our room phone. A robot kept asking what we needed. After ordering room service from the front desk and waiting for one hour, the food was delivered in a bag like ordering from doordatch. The elevarators could use a cleaning. One day we left the room at 8:30 and came back at 4:30 and the room was not done. There was no safe deposit box in the room. I could go on and on

Mostly great, with a couple of glitches in service. The wait to get our our car from the hotel valet at 9 PM was about a half hour, which is unacceptable at $75/night. When I called for room service, I was put on hold and left there for several minutes. I called 3x before someone actually answered the phone and spoke to me. My bed was very poorly made - I am not sure whether the sheets were clean. There are LOTS of little details going wrong here on the staffing/service end of things. But the location can't be beat, and the staff is friendly. It wasn't even that busy when I was there, so I didn't get the sense that this was just a holiday crunch or an understaffing problem. Anyway, it was not a 4-5 star experience, despite the luxury address and pricing.

I stayed at this hotel from June 18 to June 21 and checked out on the 21st. A security deposit of $238.53 was charged to my card at check-in. During my stay, I did not use any of the hotel’s services, such as the restaurant or mini bar. However, I have not received any refund for the security deposit as of June 30. I’ve contacted the hotel but have yet to receive a resolution. Very disappointing experience. The hotel is quite old. Location is great and minutes to White House.

The location was amazing. The issue I had is that there is a resort fee at this location and i was never told anything about what it offerred. The staff should have said there is a resort fee and told me what it includes. I thus paid for perks that I didn't use because the staff neglected to say anything like they are supposed to. I think the property should refund me this fee as i paid for someone that I didn't get to use because the staff didn't do their job.

we stayed for one night - great location, nice hotel, but very disappointing check-in process - our room was not ready until almost 2 hours after check-in time - we had a dinner reservation and asked the front desk to move our stuff to the room once it is ready and they assured us they will take care of it - we came back from dinner 2 hours later and we had to chase our luggage because front desk did not let the bellman know! - very disappointing communication and check - in process specially for this type of hotels -

And parking was $72 for large vehicle. We stayed during a weekend and found street parking for FREE. We didn’t move the car we just walked or rode to attractions. Example the White House is 6min away. National mall and others few minutes away. Guards on site so it is safe.

Wonderful location, able to walk to all DC museums and monuments. Valet parking and bellhop’s were amazing. Honestly the best part of our stay. No safe in room. Used the lockbox at desk. Was then questioned for ID that was locked in the box. Good luck. Bar and restaurant were only fair. We left a day early.

The Hotel has one of the best locations in DC, the pricing is not bad for the area and the accommodations are pleasant. I would say that the water heater is dependent on your neighbor using it at the same time. Runs out quickly. The dinner options in the hotel are few but outside the hotel has many. The hotel breakfast and lunch are very good. Get help on the elevator operations to make getting around faster. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Love it
