New hotel, friendly staff, super bright and spacious rooms. Down side : it is LOUD! Room doors are loud, even when not slammed, noise travels, in room AC super loud!, breakfast is included and in brand new space/restaurant on LL BUT no hot water/tea available!!!! Odd as it is one of the easiest items to include. Valet is over the top expensive! But parking garage 24/7 is avail across the street for self parking. Great location and very nice hotel

The team at Hotel AKA is excellent and professional. After a screwup by Expedia where no rooms were available but they booked folks anyway, the hotel team worked to find me a room. It was an overbooked hotel event across DC, but they worked hard and made me feel so comfortable by providing beverages and a place to work. By the way, with no guarantee that I would ultimately be a paying guest. Rooms are really large and the restaurant on premise is amazing (a French style bistro - have the duck!). Highly recommend. It is a new hotel so everything is fresh.

Wow AKA is a lovely hotel and conveniently located. The rooms are super comfortable and the staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. They even have a free washer dryer for guests. Loved the restaurant too, top shelf and the staff was very sweet and helpful picking out drinks and food.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in some time. Friendly staff and the rooms were HUGE with a balcony. Everything was new and well done. Rooms, Lobby, Gym. Unfortunately I only stayed one night. Impeccable.

We really wanted to enjoyed our stay at Hotel AKA Washington Circle. Check-in was smooth, and I really appreciated that they accommodated an early arrival. The room was very clean, well-kept, and matched the online photos. The balcony was a nice touch. The also offer a free washer/dryer which was great - they did provide a free box of Tide (travel size). Perfect for not wanting to take dirty clothes home. Transit transit transit was phenomenal! It’s close, easy and super convenient. But the in-room bar prices were out-damn-rageous. And the real dealbreaker was the noise: I could hear everything through the adjoining door — conversations, bathroom sounds, toilet flushes — like we were all in the same room. On top of that, the cleaning staff in the hallway sounded like they were standing in my room, and constant ambulance sirens made it worse. So while the hotel nailed cleanliness and service, the noise kept it from being restful. If you’re sensitive to sound, this may not be the best choice.

It is simply the best hotel / property in D.C. New,Clean, Nicely Decorated Rooms. Brand New Coffee Machines instead of stupid Keurig! Balcony is a great option as you wish to get clean and fresh air.

Our stay was magnificent. All of the staff, front desk staff, cleaning staff, morning breakfast staff, door staff, etc. were all excellent. Each staff person who we interacted with was very friendly, professional, and polite. The room and everywhere else was very clean. The house cleaning staff did a great job cleaning our room. Our stay had no hiccups. Everything went incredibly smoothly. We highly recommend this hotel.

Location of hotel was within walking distance or short bus ride to White House and Monuments. Breakfast was served each morning at Hotel AKA and included a variety of items such as fresh fruit, cakes, bagels and yogurts - all delicious. Our double room was large and very clean, housekeeping is doing an excellent job. Front desk personnel were always friendly and helpful.

Amazing!!! Clean and modern. Room was spacious. Balcony off of the king room was very nice. Such a relaxing feel inside and out. Such classy great service from the doorman to the front desk staff. Split-level lobby felt like entering a mid-century modern home. Breakfast in the restaurant was calming and the service was impeccable. Can't wait to return in a few months and check out the bar. 🤗

It was a nice property. It did the job for a one night's day. Sometimes it could be a little annoying to walk around the circle and what felt like 20 crosswalks to get to the metro station. Other than that though it was pretty nice. I thought it was unique for a hotel to have a balcony in DC.

Very close to RR Airport about 20m drive thus you could hear airplane noise frequently during daytime. While it’s much less at night to barely hear them. The studio room is very spacious with modern deco and nice amenities (love the coffee). Staff are very friendly and always ready to help with big smiles, especially doorman who helped us with luggage when we left. Major problem is the noise, not to mention ambulances (super loud when they come, but also better during night time), biggest bug is the AC in the room. If you turn it on, it makes huge sound every 5 seconds with a machine just beside the bed. We turned it off since the days are cool, but not cold (OCT) hence we don’t necessarily need it. Cannot imagine in hot and cold days when AC is necessary. I think this problem must be fixed or it’s impossible to sleep with AC on.

Excellent hotel. Large spacious room with huge bathroom and a balcony. Staff was very friendly and professional. The reason I did not give it a 5 was the air conditioner in our room was extremely noisy in start up and shut down. To the point that it made you jump! Not great at 3am.

The property itself was outstanding. Room exceptionally clean, bed very comfortable. Staff were amazing. Director Justin Spraggs was amazing. Alice and Zak went above and beyond with anything we needed and guided us with helpful suggestions, etc. Everyone was smiling and made you feel like you belonged there. Manuel and others always there to open doors and assist with anything. Will be going back, even if only to experience this family like staff and beautiful room.

The staff was great. We needed to check in early which they accommodated, though at the steep price of $200. The room was nice. I wish the showers had a little more power. They are very pet friendly, more so than at any hotel I’ve ever stay. The metro is a quick 5 min walk away and there are plenty of store and restaurants around. Best of all…no national guard ruining your view if such a beautiful city. This will def be my new go-to for stays in DC.

Checking in and out took a while. Evidently Expedia didn't push through my reservation so I was told I didn't have one when I showed up. The check out took a while as well (roughly five minutes to turn in keys and get my invoice) and my Uber was getting close. Otherwise, a really great stay and very helpful staff.

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The housekeeping staff was excellent and gets major kudos for how clean everything was. The property is a in a good location however it’s the noisiest hotel ever. It’s next to a hospital which I didn’t realize so be prepared to hear ambulances throughout most of the day and night. In addition, the air conditioning in the room was so incredibly loud. It would wake us up every time it clicked on. But without it, it was too hot in the room. I’m not kidding when I say it sounded like a spaceship was landing inside the room. It was that loud. The front desk staff was never super warm or welcoming with the exception of one guy who mostly we saw at night. They also allow pets in the hotel, which is fine however, there was a dog that would bark incessantly in the room next to us for hours. The towels and linens were on the cheap side for this nightly rate. If you want slippers you have to ask the front desk for them rather than them just being in the room already. At the end of my checkout I had a $90 minibar charge on my bill- never once even opened the mini bar. The experience start to finish was that of a 3star hotel at best.
