Great location for catching trains at Union Station. Very nice room with super comfortable bed. Staff was great. Delicious coffee (included) on the 2nd floor. Dubliner pub on first floor was really excellent, fun, and open late for food and drinks after our late arrival.

I have stayed in this hotel 5 or 6 times. It is very convenient, opposite Union Station, the bar is excellent, the rooms are very good, clean and comfortable. There is a fridge in the room, and although no coffee / tea making in the room there is an excellent facility on the 2nd floor. There is an extra daily charge but there are 2 free bottles of water in the room and a voucher for a free drink at the bar. Many DC & NY hotels have this extra daily charge. The Smithsonians are just a pleasant walk away.

If arriving by train, it's the best possible location, one block from Union Station, so no taxi or Uber required. You can see the US Capitol from the front door. It was a clean comfortable room, and the A/C worked fine. Coffee and tea offered 24 hrs. There is no pool. The restaurant's food is less than average, I'd avoid next time. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was smallish, but cozy. The coffee machines on the 2nd floor make up for there not being coffee in the room. The Capitol and the National Mall a mere blocks away. The Dubliner is essentially part of the hotel, and there are several other restaurants within a half mile. And finally, parking at Union Station is two blocks away.

This stay was nice. Staff was pleasant. Rooms are clean. BEWARE UNDISCLOSED FEES not included in your original payment. The day before my arrival, I received an email from the hotel telling me that there would be a $32 PER DAY amenities fee added to my NON-refundable room. This was not previously disclosed (but I now see it has been added to the description). The fee is for every day of your stay. It was not mentioned at check in or check out. They did include a business card outlining the "amenities" with the room key. Why was this not part of the price of the hotel room? The amenities include a second floor beverage bar, two bottles of water in your room, Internet, mobile Wi-Fi printing, domestic calls, self-service laundry, and press reader. These are all amenities that should be included in the price of a hotel room, not tacked on after a guest arrives at the door and has no option but to pay. These fees are not a city tax. It feels dishonest and leaves a bad taste after an otherwise decent stay.

Hotel itself and room were very nice and clean. The service was exceptionally great, from the front desk to the restaurant located inside (the food was pretty good as well). The only negative was the inside parking was extremely expensive, but to be honest, pretty normal for D.C.. We made the decision to use the garage around the corner that was a fraction of the cost and the walk was negligible. An overall great stay.

The hotel is very good value for the buck, the people at the front desk were really nice and attentive. The facilities were kept clean and in good shape, but take into account the building is old (I do not mind that, as long is in good condition). The hotel has a well-equipped gym, a little small; however, it does not matter since is mostly empty at any time. The hotel offers a decent Internet service. My only issue was that on my first day, the shower only had cold water; perhaps this only happened during a short period of time, but I did not stay long enough to see if this changed that day. On the other days, the shower worked fine. An additional comment regarding the shower, it would be nice to have a non-slip material in the shower floor since the floor can get really slippery. All in all, a very nice hotel.

Just a quick overnight after a late train ride in. Everything was clean and comfortable. Check-in only took a minute, which was great, because I just wanted to get my kids into bed. We left behind a stuffed animal and they had it waiting at the front desk when we called about it. Great hotel. Would stay again.

The hotel is convenient to Union Station, the Capitol and a couple of the Smithsonian’s. The room was cool, clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and took advantage or the guest laundry.

The room was unbearably hot and humid with no way to control the AC. There were hairs all over the bathroom - not sure when it was last thoroughly cleaned. Loved the proximity to Union Station, but I won’t stay here again.

I had the tiniest room ever looking out at the utility area and into other rooms. I had to leave my suitcase on the bed because there was nowhere else to open it. The shower/tub had no safety holds, the walls were slick marble and the rubber mat was slippery .i won’t stay here again.

Nicely located near all major museums. Staff were great and very friendly. Daily housekeeping was excellent. The coffee on the 2nd floor was fantastic. The downsides were limited TV channels, tv guide showing no program information. Lack of a bathtub in the King Deluxe room was a negative. Noisy crowds on the sidewalks at 2 AM. Curtains/blinds did not block out the light at night. Bed and pillows were great and comfortable. No local area restaurants or delivery menus in the room.

Close to Union Station, nice rea. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, nice Irish pub that serves a good breakfast. on a busy street but the room was quiet. Older hotel that has been updated without losing its charm. Wi Fi worked well, bathroom was well-equipped. Only quibble was that the bathroom fan was extremely noisy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is one block from Union Station. All types of ground transportation, including bus tours. It’s a nice walking distance to the Capitol as well. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we didn’t have any issues. The room was clean and updated. The in house restaurant was very good with great ambiance. The only negatives for us was the room did not have black out curtains and we like a dark room for sleeping. Also, being downtown you’re going to hear share rides and other blowing horns from time to time as well as emergency vehicles. The positives greatly out weighed the negatives. We would absolutely stay there again!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. There was complimentary coffee stations and water bottle filling stations which was essential to our days. There werent a ton of good food options in the area and the restaurant in the hotel, while very popular, felt dirty and the food was mediocre. The location was perfect for our needs, across the street from Union Station and a few blocks from the capitol.

The location-right near Union Station (a Metro Station), and near the Capital and the National Gallery-was great. I liked the all-day coffee availability. The room was very stylishly decorated, the bed comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet at night. They had a room that could store our luggage since we did not leave until long after checkout. Very nice... will stay again.

The property was wonderful but outside were many homeless people in tents. They played music until 3am my first night, then it rained the other nights so no music was played. A total disgrace that so many homeless people in such a nice area.

Location was perfect! Short walk from Union Station. Evening walks in the local area are well lite and felt safe. Comfort bed and clean ensuite: Pub had great meals, live Irish music and good selection of beers and whiskey. Breakfast was tasty.
