$12.95 a day for WiFi when even Holiday Inn is free? Really? No free water in the room and extra facility charge appears double billed on credit card but they said give it a few days and it will sort it out. No breakfast buffet on weekends. C’mon.

We had a great stay at the Mayflower. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the parking and the restaurant. I thought the overnight charge at $66/night was a little steep. The food in the restaurant was good but not very creative for the price and for such a historic hotel I expected better food. Maybe they had an off night?

Lovely hotel. Great history affiliated with the property. Room was dark. Light bulb was out on the nightstand. Called several times to replace it and the team members who answered the phone sounded encouraging that someone would show up quickly…., but no one ever did. Big city so the price to pay for parking was extreme. They should give their hotel guests a break.

Hotel had $25 Destination Fee, which turned out to be a hidden fee that was not propetly disclosed agead of time. It was sipposed to be applied to restaurant and Uber rides, but it was not explained by staff. We could not apply it to Uber and restaurant discount was not a discount.

Great stay. Convenient staff was super helpful. Only downside was that the business center was incomplete as the printer was broken and there was not a copier. Staff was helpful but I found a workaround. Relatedly why isn’t there free WiFi? Every mid range hotel has this. I got around it with a hotspot but that is a pet peeve with upscale hotels. But I will definitely stay here again

Will definitely stay here again. The Mayflower Hotel is in the perfect location. Easy access to the DC metro and various bus routes that can take you all over the city. Lots of shopping and dining access all in walking distance. Room was very clean and the hotel staff went above and beyond!! This hotel is my new favorite!!

The Mayflower Hotel was a perfect location for our DC visit. We walked to the White House. The Capitol was a little far so we took an Uber. Ubers were readily available. The room was small but efficient & immaculate. Edgars has great cinnamon rolls. It was pricey for breakfast.

It is not the Mayflower that I am accustomed to. Room service served in a brown paper bag, plastic utensils and paper cups. Request ignored. Beautiful property, not holding to basic standards. Dirty spots throughout the room, especially in the bathroom.

The drain in the bathtub was clogged so we had to shower in ankle deep water. The room was very small. Both of us could not pass between the bed and the dresser. Room was over the subway. So darn noisy. Did not get one bit of sleep both nights. Horrible. Tea wasn't even offered in the room. I prefer to bath with soap and not body wash. No soap bars. Will never ever stay here again!

Overall a quality stay! Everyone I engaged with from the bell hop, reception desk, bar/restaurant, housekeeping and in room dining were overwhelmingly accommodating. The lobby area and Edgar restaurant are a must visit! I stayed in a suite which was very spacious and included a wet bar. From my vantage point, there was no view or reason to open the window. The only challenge was the noise from the heater/AC unit and the noise from the outside of the hotel including delivery trucks which started around 4-5am. So if you are unbothered by a bit of noise and are not looking for stunning views/balcony, this hotel is excellent especially during the Holiday Season. There are lots of coffee shops, shopping, restaurants, bars and clubs within walking distance and many of the D.C. attractions are a short walk or Taxi/Uber ride. Housekeeping was always very timely and efficient. It’s a lovely historic building and a must visit!

While I appreciate that this is an older structure, not accustomed to hotel where air conditioning unit is extremely loud. It was so loud that I had to turn the tv up to hear. Additionally, rooms are extremely small. Will not be on my list to visit again.

The front staff was amazing. The restaurant was mediocre. The wait staff wasn’t friendly, they never checked on us during our multiple times we ate there. We went to the bar one evening and ordered drinks and despite empty glasses sitting in front of us and the bartender just standing there doing nothing for 20 minutes nobody offered to get us another drink. Instead a different bartender just brought us the check. It made us feel like we were an inconvenience and they just wanted us out. It was only 8pm. The housekeeping staff was terrible. They only made our bed each day. They would take out some of the trash, but not all of it. Sometimes they dropped trash in the middle of the floor and left it. Not once did they clean or provide clean glasses. For the price we paid I would’ve expected top-of-the-line service and amenities. I would not stay at this resort again.

I was so excited to get the opportunity to get away to celebrate my parents 57th wedding anniversary and this hotel came highly recommended. However, if you have the misfortune of crossing paths with Logan Miller at the front desk, I hope you have the chance to turn around or wait for another person. This individual single-handedly ruined my parents stay at the Mayflower. Logan could not be bothered to answer their questions regarding the items included in our destination fee. Nor could he be bothered to help them with the issue with their TV in their room. They had to flag down someone in housekeeping. When I approached Logan to see why he couldn't answer my parent's questions he had nothing to offer me either in terms of an explanation or his time. Normally I am raving about all the staff and the accommodations. But this one is a hard pass. Logan do better.

Key card error prohibited us from getting our keys and they promised to deliver to room, but didn’t. Restaurant and valet did not answer phones. The restaurant voicemail was full. The hotel telephone answering system is an excruciating painful automated process that either redirects your to hotel again even though you thought you called the hotel number on the site, or makes it so confusing to find a live person to talk to. The phone in the room did not work. Street noise outside carries upward to room.
