My only criticism relates to the fact that the lobby was under construction so not as attractive as it could be. Rooms could be refaced but serviceable. Staff in every respect -- counter restaurant bell hop -- were extremely helpful and courteous. d

We had a wonderful stay at the Washington Plaza Hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was fantastic—right on Thomas Circle and close to everything. McPherson Square Metro station was only a few blocks away, and CVS was just one block away. We loved the pool! It was so refreshing after a long day of sightseeing, and we got a chuckle out of having a lifeguard on duty. The restaurant food was great, our room was very clean, and our view overlooked Thomas Circle. The bathroom was also roomy enough for two people to comfortably get ready at the same time. Another big plus was that after checkout, they stored our luggage until later that afternoon. This allowed us to enjoy one last morning of sightseeing before heading to the airport. Overall, a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff and an excellent location. We would definitely stay here again!
