Had security guards patrolling the hotel. Nice restaurant connected to the hotel, reasonable prices. Only has a 3ft 6 in Pool and one section of a 5 ft area Pool, no hot tub, but overall very nice Hotel.

The elevator was not working and we got stuck between floors. The hotel was renovating and there was extra noise. The breakfast was not as advertised and not adequately staffed. It looked as if it could be a reasonable place to stay if these issues were resolved.

Inside was clean, not enough lighting outside in the parking area. Poor water pressure in the shower. Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable. Refrigerator in the room was surprisingly large. Would recommend.

Lights in entry and bathroom did not work. Fan in bathroom did not work. They moved us to another room after we had unpacked. Restaurant/lounge not open. Only coffee available in room was de caff. Very disappointing.

Ceiling plaster all over the floor from the floor, not being cleaned, stains on the beds, cardboard pieces under the covers holes in the walls, and they covered the smoke detector with a plastic bag. Hallway smelt so bad you could taste it an hour after leaving the hotel.

The room was dirty, there was dried food, crusted on the television remote, and I had to sterilize it before I could use it, the refrigerator door had goo or grease all over it, and I’m really not sure that the sheets were ever cleaned from the last guests. It seemed that they crammed all of the guests of the hotel on the first floor for some reason. Also, there was no soap when we checked in to the room and we had to go speak to the desk.

Worst customer service ever. Lobby area looks OK but bedroom was old, dirty, there was a roach in the bathroom, no one showed fo pick up garbage and provide fresh towels. the experience was so poor that I decided to leave early just not to stay another night in that terrible hotel. Absolutely a NO NO to come back.

This property was incredibly dirty! We stayed here for 2 nights because we had a wedding to attend in downtown. The halls were dirty, the elevator was unclean and the room had a dirty fridge with a shower that had some mold. Highly disappointed in this place as we had stayed here in June and it was great which is why we booked again.

Got there and it was late. The parking lot was not well lit. As a mom with her two girls this was a little unsafe for me. The girl at the check in counter was extremely friendly. She made check in and check out easy. However, got to the room and the curtains did not close all the way. Had to find something to sit in the window to keep it closed. The shower had rust and strains of hair in it. The towels also had hairs in them. The rooms need an update. It was decent for the price I paid however.

We stay here a few times a year our room has always been clean and the staff courteous. My only suggestion is to ask for a room not close to the elevator shaft. Our room was right next to it and you can hear the lift going up and down. It wasn’t too bad however close to the elevator is the ice machine and it was very loud as people filled up their ice buckets.

The room needed a lot of updates. Needs usb plug ins, a better TV, a trash can! There was only one that was in the bathroom that was too small to hold more than a couple items. You’d think in a room with two queen beds there may be a family of four using it, therefore, you’d put more than two towels and two wash clothes in the bathroom. It looked like they were doing some renovations in the lobby, but the actual rooms need a lot of updates and better amenities. The pictures online made it all seem a lot nicer than it was. Not likely to book here again.

The property was in minor disrepair. A pole light was laying on the ground in the back. Gutters were coming off the building at the back entance. The room had no USB ports. Apart from this it was an enjoyable stay.

The overall condition of the property is run-down, which set the tone for a disappointing stay. But what was even more frustrating was the subpar service. Despite requesting room cleaning twice, the staff failed to attend to our room. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for guest requests is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the hotel's walls are paper-thin, allowing for uninterrupted noise pollution from adjacent rooms. This made it challenging to get a good night's sleep. Overall, I would not recommend the Holiday Inn Downtown Fort Myers to anyone. With its rundown condition, poor service, and lack of soundproofing, it falls short of expectations.

We stayed one night Incheck went fine but the third floor had no WiFi (Floor is being renovated) but instead of being honest to mention this the guy at the lobby mentioned he will send somebody . The way hé said it was clear hé will do nothing as such . Asking a couple of hour later hé mentioned WiFi is working fine on the third and I was the only one complaining . We had 5 different phones and not one could connect. The morning guy I think his name was Eddie was totally understanding and gave us a breakfast voucher

Nice stay for a couples getaway. Room was big, clean, comfortable and sound proof. We could not hear hallway noise which is important to us. Location was very convenient. Free hot breakfast could use more options but the scrambled eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes tasted home-made. The TV was on the small size and the shower head needed to be replaced but would definitely come back.

The place is run down. It’s time to upgrade it. Walls and doors are dirty and stained. AC wasn’t working properly. TV remote is impossible to use. Plumbing is not great either, sink kept getting clogged. Place need a complete make over. Staff was nice. But I will definitely not be staying there again.

Our first room wasn't very clean and they immediately switched us to a very clean room with newer mattresses and free hot breakfast for two! Everyone was so helpful, they carried our luggage and made sure we had everything we needed on our stay. I have no problem leaving a good review, I had a good stay!

First and foremost the staffwas wonderful. I had a medical issue they were so helpful. When I returned that afternoon the were more then willing to help. It has to be one of cleanest Hotels in Fort Myers that I have stayed at.

I’ve been here for a while. It seems as though the cleaning people do whatever they want. It’s sad I have to ask for my room to be cleaned. But one of the cleaning lady’s came and knocked on the door for no reason then never came and cleaned the room this is day three since this incident. I asked the front desk yesterday the cleaning lady’s were here past 3 pm. I was gone came back and no one cleaned the room. How completely disrespectful. Trash overflowing. I’m sick of asking people to do there jobs. So soon enough I’ll be leaving also. What a garbage place to call Holiday Inn.

I was supposed to stay at a different hotel through Friday but something was biting me in their bed. I called Holiday Inn and got checked in Tuesday morning. Yadi was very helpful and pleasant I will stay at this Holiday Inn whenever I have to travel to Fort Myers!

You ask them to clean the room sometimes they clean it sometimes they don’t even come to the door. For being here almost three months I’m surprised how the front desk says they’ll ask them to clean then they don’t show up. Or how they come in see the blankets and sheets need to be changed and they will make the bed with the same dirty sheets. Not the Holiday Inn it once was.

This properly is conveniently located on a main thoroughfare and it’s fairly easy to get in and out. This property DOES NOT offer free breakfast that is simply not true. There is a separate restaurant adjacent to the hotel and you can buy your own breakfast.

It was in a good location for shopping and going to restaurants on Cleveland Avenue. It was a 6 minute drive to downtown. There is a Dunkin Donuts right next to the hotel, so that was convenient as a breakfast option. Overall, I would stay again, if in the area.

Information not available at Hotels.com website that there was a restriction to the weight of the dog. Hotel room was fine, fairly big and clean even if the carpet was old. The cooked to order breakfast (only Sundays?) was nice. The area around the hotel is not very nice and you do not want to walk from the hotel to downtown Fort Myers.

Hotel is going through some renovations which I understand the property is in need of complete overall . Breakfast is provided by third party at only $10 per person which does not cover the cost the lady serving breakfast does not understand any concept on customer service whatsoever rude forgetful and not very pleasant

1. Advertising stated free breakfast-no, was $10.59 a person for the typical hotel buffet, and you couldn’t take to your room - had to eat there. 2. The room is extremely outdated, dresser/tv stand is all chipped up and the partical board all warped, lamps weren’t secure, felt like when I turned them on they were going to fall over, bathroom layout was horrible and the door was in the way. 3. The grossed part was the hallway smelled like old pet odors and cigarette smoke 4. The whole place was dirty and run down 5. And to advertise downtown - it’s not walkable 1.4 miles Spent $150 a night for a while in the wall - I’ve spent less and had a better room!

The hotel was nice and clean with service minded staff, but the breakfast was in a restaurant attached to the hotel and we received a 20 dollar voucher to use for the breakfast (for two persons). We saved so much on breakfast that we left the table half-starved. The price was over 20 dollars, but the hotel did not demand payment for the excess amount. I don't think you can say that breakfast is included when it is not fully included.

Everything went OK however, we were disappointed with the on-site restaurant and bar which was why we booked the hotel. It always seem to be closed. They’re open from 6:30 in the morning till 11 and then from 4 to 8. So we were not able to get drinks for when we were at the pool. Later when we got back from dinner, we had hoped to stop for one to take to our room but it was again closed. Even the promise of an early breakfast (which we paid for in advance) didn’t work out because at 6:45 the restaurant was still closed (front desk even said it opened at 630). We looked in and they were still putting out food and the doors were locked. So we just left. It’s a short distance from downtown and was fine. But definitely don’t let the on-site restaurant/bar be a selling point.
