Sketch. I booked a last minute trip and it was either pay $80 for this room or $300 somewhere else, so I’m not holding this place to the highest standard. The place looked abandoned, and I thought my gps took me to the wrong place originally. There was a dead roach by the tv. I really didn’t feel safe. The pros are that there was a camera in the parking lot and the guy at the front desk was nice.

I did an early luggage drop off. I spoke to the guy at the front desk and he said to leave my luggage in the lobby and he would put it behind the front desk. When I came back six hours later to check in to my hotel room, my luggage was still sitting in the hotel lobby unattended. There was a different guy at the front desk and he said nobody told him anything about the luggage. When we got into the room, the floor was wet. The room was so humid that you could feel the bedding was moist. Although we stayed in a room downstairs, we noticed that the elevator was not working. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

The property is okay, but for the cost. It's not enough at all, this is a motel All the wind doors are outside, The pool is tiny and the Wi-Fi is literally non existant. We were told by the woman checking this and that they had great wife. And it's just not true. My son was having to use his Hotspot off his phone. If we were paying $85 a month that might be okay, but we're not, we're paying more like 400.

This room was booked just before we arrived at the motel online. We arrived after dark but the motel parking lot had great bright lighting. We did have a wait in the lobby a bit as the clerk was gone and ringing the bell did not raise anyone initially. We were given our room after check in and as we entered the room it appeared to have just been cleaned prior to our arrival. The floor had dampness still on the floor as if it was just mopped prior to arrival. (We checked in late in the evening. ) The room was comfortable and functional. The shower was functioning with hot water which lasted. The only issue was the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not function so steam and heat did build up quickly. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The property does show signs of needing maintenance. The breakfast was a typical motel breakfast, with juice, make your own waffles, dry cereal and such. We had no major issues during our stay that would prevent us from returning.

I spent one night here. I had read reviews and seen good ones. This is just a basic hotel, went in and smelled like smoke,the blanket on bottom of bed, the shower curtain had cigarette burns on them. This room was non smoking. This is okay for someone who doesn’t want to spend much money for vacation. But, I would not recommend it for a long stay. The pool was clean. There were places to eat and shop close to it. The washer and dryer is upstairs under the awning. We couldn’t get into the gym our card wouldn’t work. This is just a basic cheap motel.

Cigarette butts floating in the pool. Room absolutely disgusting, looked like chewed tobacco spit all over the wall and floor, clearly not cleaned after the prior atrocious guest. Do not recommended unless you want to thoroughly clean prior to sleeping. My family and I were driving home 12+ hours from vacation and decided to book a room for the night to drive 11 hours the next morning. Terrible idea. Should have chose elsewhere.

The room itself really needed cleaning. We even found a clothing article in the room. The room stunk so we bought a candle and used the ac to blow air on the scented candle since we couldn't light the candle. The water came out brown the first evening and next morning. Trash all around the property on the ground. For the price, i guess the condition is expected

Bathroom was dirty. Used band-aids were found in the shower. There were burn marks on some linings. We found old blood drops on others. Had pics to prove it all and was denied a refund.

We rolled in after 600 miles expecting a standard Wyndham hotel experience. This seems to be a cousin of the bates motel. Never felt so unsafe. First room had dirty sheets and the floor was wet from recent mopping, I could have lived with that, but it was still wet 30 minutes later. We switched room Kudos for the quick switch. That room was a bit cleaner, but the furniture looked like it had been salvaged from a junk yard. The lights over the front door and the bathroom were on motion sensors. I was awakened 6 times when either my wife went to the bathroom, or I rolled over in the bed triggering the overhead light. There were no peep hole covers. Worst start to a summer vacation in 30 years. I challenge Expedia and Wyndham to send someone to the hotel to stay unannounced and tell me it meets the minimum standards. Great Expedia service in facilitating the quick room switch.

The stay was great, the room clean, the major hiccup was WiFi. It was throttled so doing work there was a bit tough. I figured out a way to get it done but it was a bit frustrating. The staff was amazing, the location was perfect for so many things we were doing there.

This establishment was terrible. The service was extremely horrible. We were told to request our room to be cleaned if we wanted it clean. We did twice and never got our room cleaned. This will be our first and last time staying at this hotel. Do not recommend staying here.

I ended up paying for the room twice because they claimed to not have my Orbitz reservation even after I gave them the Orbitz confirmation code. I was greeted by cockroaches scattering as I entered the room which faced a busy road. The neighbors were up all night and very active. The lights were on motion sensors and timers so there were random red lights tracking my every move. The breakfast area was unkept and lacking. There was bread and cheap muffins, old individually wrapped apples, cereal and waffle batter to make your own waffles. It may have been my lack of sleep but the whole experience was Terrible.

When I arrived at 1050 pm, there was no one there for about 10 minutes and then after knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell, a hotel staff member pulled up hurriedly and checked me in. This was not very pleasant after driving several states to this destination and having to use the restroom upon arrival. Then I was placed in a room next to another room that was occupied by people who I was suspicious of drug activity. There was a lot of noise and squabbling in the room. I quite literally felt unsafe and has to be transferred to a different room. Unlike the first staff member I encountered, the second staff member was polite and placed me in a room that I felt OK staying in for the evening. He was very helpful. Overall, this was such a poor experience that I seriously considered driving straight back home upon arriving. I will have a hard time to return to this hotel again.

From here, it is only a couple mile drive to Beautiful Fort Walton Beach. The staff was friendly and overall clean place. The room was nice and the bed was wonderful. My only complaint is that the corners were not kept that clean in the room and there were some little bugs or insects on the dresser.

I only got to stay there two hours and I would say its not that much better than a Motel 6. I paid extra to check in early as I was there to get some rest. I paid the deposit and all that. My short stay was due to a mental health emergency where I was taken to the hospital for 4 days. I had to have a family friend pick up my car. I didnt have access to my phone while I was in the hospital and called to explain what happened to the front desk. The person on the phone was unwilling to give me a refund under the circumstances or even refund my deposit.

I was charged 3 different fees for my stay. I was only informed about a $50 incidental fee and my room fee. I was charged double for my room. Once from Expedia and again from the actual hotel. I will not be utilizing these services again.

We have stayed at this Baymont Mary Ester hotel many times and it is always very clean and very safe. It is family operated and most certainly a best value in the fort Walton, Destin and Navarre area. Breakfast bar is very basic but Sufficient. We hope to utilize the hotel again.

I was afraid of staying there because of the reviews that I read, but I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and Nola made my experience there wonderful from check in to check out! Also very close to the base.

When we arrived the air was off and it was hot so we had to leave immediately for a couple of hours till it kinda of cooled down. After driving all day I just wanted to rest and couldn’t because it was extremely hot in our room. Ice machine never had ice for the entire 4 day stay. Party held a couple of doors down from us loss of sleep. I was in town for a memorial service for my sister. And this is definitely not something I needed to add for me to have to deal with. The manager did give me $2.00 for a bag of ice about 2 miles away. We were highly disappointed in this hotel and will not return.breakfast was near non existent so when they run out of pancake batter they don’t replenish the batter. We ended up eating donuts for two days because a few apples and cereal is mostly what was provided.

The room was nice and clean in a quiet area. The only thing I would have liked was more of a selection at breakfast. They had waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage links, bread/bagels and muffins. There was also some cereal available. It would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs/yogurt and/or even a plain gravy for the biscuits because I am on a pork free diet. But overall, I enjoyed a waffle and coffee. Not too bad.
