Hampton Inn St. Augustine US1 North

Our stay was good. Breakfast was not ready at 6:10am as advertised. Need to be sure electric charger parking spots are for elective car patrons. Three non-EV cars were parked in the spots.

Celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. First night local Channels on TV were out. Didn’t matter at that time. Out most of the day on Saturday but after site seeing wanted to come back to room and relax to watch college football. The entire hotel had no television. The poor staff did not know what to do. There is t enough parking either. When we checked out, I was told I could get points to make up for the problem however points never seem to be the way to make up for a disappointment. The Hampton name has taken a dive for nice places to stay. The place needs to be cleaned up better and the pool didn’t even have water in it. The hotel wasn’t outrageously dirty but it wasn’t near and tidy either.

I liked everything, but the pool and spa whirlpool was being cleaned and resurfaced.

Hotel was average quality in terms of the room. Unfortunately, despite sharing a parking with a sister hotel next door, there is not enough parking for all patrons if you get to your room in the evening, particularly weekend stays. Another flawed design, they’ve set “fitness rooms” on the ends of each floor and if you are placed next to or below those rooms, you may be unpleasantly woken by people working out in the early morning dropping weights. I’d assume having fitness rooms on first floor and changing those to actual rooms would make more sense. Breakfast provided was ok, but on weekend, you may not have a place to sit and eat it. Will not stay here again.

Everything was excellent but the pricing. I was charged $300 more than I was quoted, got hit with a $15 a day parking fee, charged an extra $50 for “essentials” or some crap like that. I was really torqued that I had a handicap placard and was STILL mandated the Parking Fee Honestly, doubt I ever stay there or any motel of the same name bc of these sneaky and underhanded pricing

When we checked in nothing was said about charging for parking or needing a parking pass for our vehicle. At checkout we were notified that we were being charged for parking and are lucky we did not get towed…

Parking very tight, room had a slight scent to it upon arrival. Breakfast is good, pool is good sized for something so close to downtown.

Pool closed and was not informed before arrival. Tv service was out for 2 days. Beach hotel and no pool

We were very disappointed with this Hampton Inn. We usually like the breakfast bar because we save money however the food was terrible They ran out of some items and the what they had was not the fresh. In addition the whole week we were there there was not a knife to be found until the last day. It is really hard to spread butter or cream cheese with a spoon. Have you ever tried to cut a waffle with two spoons? Finally we were surprised by a parking charge of $15 a day. We have stayed at another Hampton Inn in St Augustine which was much better than this one. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Clean and new, but was charged $15 to park at the hotel. I've never paid to park at a hotel before. I didn't know about it ahead of time and it was disappointing

Horrible. Non working TV. Dirty. After checkout you'll get charged for parking and will not be told. Added other bogus charges. Run. Foreign owned. Spend money elsewhere

The room was clean with nice amenities. The breakfast buffet was okay. Some sugar cereals, an empty egg bin, sausage, and an empty potato bin. There were some mini scones but nothing to put on them and two pieces of toast. We arrived around 8:30 and the hours were 6-10. There was oatmeal and a waffle maker. Both days we stayed, the eggs were empty. They did get refilled the first day, however. The second day they were not so we ended up going to a restaurant for breakfast. We pay a little more to stay in a hotel with the free breakfast so it was disappointing. Also, housekeeping is every OTHER day. So for our 2-day stay, we never experienced any housekeeping. This is beneath the standards that we expected for the price. The front desk staff was very friendly! The hotel is close enough to walk to many of the things people go to St. Augustine for. Between the lack of housekeeping during our stay and the disappointing breakfast buffet, however, we will be looking for a different place to stay for next year.

The ac unit cover was broken, hot air came inside the room from the outside because of the broken ac front cover. The room carpet smelled horrible. Found crackers under the bed. Dust was everywhere specially on the bed headboard. I was affraid to touch the tv remote. Always had my sandals on due to the smelly carpet. I didn’t want to cath any fongus.

Room was very clean, smelled clean. Was spacious and accommodating for five people including 2 teenage boys. Would definitely stay again!

Staff will actively avoid you. Carpets were coming up from the floor and things were generally dirty. You now have to call to request cleaning. Also, if you request a "crib" you will get a pack-and-play that's missing parts and smells like mold. We will never be back.

First, the room had an AC leak I get it things don’t always work as they should so I was understanding. Next, the manager decided we should move to a new room. We moved our things went for dinner and came back and started to get ready for bed. We decided to watch TV to have a parental lock on it and needed a code. I called front desk to get the code she blamed residents before and happens sometimes.. no code was given and she stated the only option would be to change rooms again… meanwhile we have a 6 month old, 4 and 7 year old with us. There was no maintenance on duty or on standby… the icing on the cake when we decided to get under the covers finally to find nice amounts of bacon bits under the covers… we decided to drive home 1.5 hours away because the whole experience here was not to standards. We weren’t asking for anything irregular. We just wanted the minimum of what we paid for. I asked for a refund and manager said we can only give you 35% off the room. This is not how an establishment should be ran. It shows clearly the company is out of touch with this location. Let me save you the headache and look elsewhere than here. This is unacceptable and not near the bare minimum of standards.

Room smelled like a nursing home. There were boogers on the wall in the bathroom.

Location, customer service and cleanliness were top notch

I was at the Hampton for 5 days. Asked for room service after 3 day which didn’t happen. Gentlemen at the desk did bring clean towels up. Overall great stay.

Far from the heart of St. Augustine, more than a mile, not walkable for most. Trolley expensive! Bathroom shower fixtures didn't work, lower shower head, but upper one did. Seemed fragile about to break. Fridge tilted toward cabinet doors, drinks fell out everytime opened. Cabinet didn’t close, could be trip/bump into hazard.

Room was outdated , vent in bath didn’t work refrigerator didn’t work, staff was polite and courteous. Had to pay to park your car per night. Had a dog across the hall on the 3rd floor take started barking at 10:30 at night. Breakfast didn’t have the variety I’m use to at Hampton chain . It was ok but not up to the standards we are use to at these hotels.

Room was very small. No dresser's. Tiny closet. No room to even walk through the room, only one foot between bed and TV stand. Old hotel.

Because of my points, I got upgraded to a "Presidential Suite", and was VERY excited! Turns out it used to be an old storage room that was converted into a hotel room. My view was part of the roof, there were doors that led to a storage closet on one side of the main room and on the other side, there were doors that led to a laundry room! I could hear someone washing hotel laundry late at night and early in the morning. Also, the contential breakfast was VERY limited for a Hampton Inn. This by FAR isn't the worst place to stay! My room aside, this is a good spot if you just need a place to lay your head at night while you do things during the day.

The hotel itself was decent although a bit outdated. We rented 2 suites that were very spacious. However, they were both facing the street where we could hear all the passing traffic.

The staff here is nice and it was a nice room! Although the facilities is a tiny bit run down (one shower head had duct tape, the attachment of the sink seemed a bit flimsy, AC had damp condensation on the floor) the staff were kind and it was ok for a couple nights stay.

Shower faucet didn’t work correctly and door was falling of the fridge. Otherwise it was very quiet, clean and comfortable

The room was really dated. We had two small sofas (loveseats) in our room. They were so soiled. Definitely not sitting on them! We were also right on the road… actually thought the traffic was coming through our room.

Best beds anywhere. Front desk staff very nice/helpful. AC made squeaking noises the first night, then OK after that. The lavatory was slightly clogged and bath water faucet sprayed water out of the tub because it was installed at an angle.

Carpet needed vacuuming, water in sink came out in a slow dribble, sheets and towel worn, light levels overly dim, smallest room in any Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in. They even charged $10 for self parking on the property—something I’ve never experienced before. I’ve always been very comfortable with this chain, but this property felt like a cheap motel. Definitely would not recommend!

Staff was very friendly, location of hotel was great, overall nice stay and would go back.

Shantel - very nice. Felt as if she was welcoming us into her own home each time we saw her. Girl in laundry rm was VERY RUDE after being told of an accident, that we stripped the bed for her. She rolled her eyes, acted disgusted and didn't say "Thanks" or anything. Just turned - I was going to let her know how ugly her response was but yhisbwould have been a waste of my time. Training her in kindness and how to have respect for others thoughtfulness is way past due. She was only thing that was wrong with the staff. The rm

Front desk staff was amazing, game us great suggestions for dinner both nights we stayed there, breakfast staff was also excellent along with the breakfast.

The staff was amazing, specifically Sheila at the front desk in the mornings. She went above and beyond to make sure i could stay during the hurricane.

Everyone that worked the front desk was very friendly and accommodating everytime I went up there.

When I arrived to the property at 11:30 pm I had to wait 20 minutes for front desk agent to arrive to check me in. Water pressure is an issue in both of the rooms I had and in 1 room the water stopped working mid shower thankfully it came back after 5 minutes. Room carpet was smelly. Bathroom toilet was dirty. Breakfast area is extremely small. Only 2 types of coffees (decaf and light roast) 5 tables to eat breakfast in. 2 tables have 4 chairs, 2 tables have 2 chairs and 1 long table with 6 chairs.

Clean and front desk employees very professional

Very rude assistant manager, had to wait 2 hours to get my room past check in time and I wasn’t accommodated when I requested late check out because there was another party waiting for the room. Not sure why they allowed it for others but not for me. So rude and overall unprofessional.

The location of the property was great 10-15 minutes from beach or shopping outlets. Walking distance to downtown not bad. I didn’t like that I had to pay $10 a day for parking at the hotel?

Clean , free parking , greeted with bottles of water and warm cookies . Historic district beautiful though a bit of a walk but felt very safe .

It was on a major road which was un expected and not close to the attractions. Luckily we were there for one night but I would have been disappointed if we planned on being there longer

The hotel was convenient and included breakfast. It's not the best breakfast, but you can wrap something if you are in a rush.

Breakfast is supposed to be served until 10am, but at 9:15 was nothing left, we had to go to another place to have breakfast

Really nice and close to historic district. Only negative was at breakfast, you were out of a few things. No yogurt for 2 days, & no Spoons for 3 days. Made it tough to eat oatmeal. Other than that, the stay was nice.

Good stay. Staff was very helpful. Could have done without the 7am landscaper. Breakfast was good.
