EVEN Hotel Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch by IHG

The only complaint I have is the pool was not cleaned regularly but I was told they were doing a lot of construction still from the hurricane. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay

Workout equipment in room was great. Good working area and sitting area.

Staff were great. Had multiple problems with room swipe cards, washing machine was broken, the room carpet was wet from cleaning during my stay. Location is good and in a quiet street. A few issues but overall was ok.

Very bad experience, no notice of the major roof construction going on! The first morning woke up to very loud smashing and roof being removed.The workers diirectly outside our window! Also breakfast was suppose to be included, however no chef available! Also at night no chef available for food! the fence around the pool was all lose unsafe. This was one of the worse times I have had a hotel, I feel some reimbursement should be in order!

Fruit water in lobby, nice pool, nice front desk people, texts checking on how our stay was going, very comfortable bed and roomy rooms. Reasonable price!

Only one elevator working with a full house, lending to long wait times. Minimal supplies in room with no housekeeping service. I expected more based on this very expensive room. Also, a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee for breakfast was $16. No value here. On the upside, the staff was very friendly.

The roof is under construction, the pool is closed, there is no restaurant during lunch hours. WiFi is spotty. Horrible

We had a great experience. The hotel has a great location. Their service is great and are always willing to assist you we all your need. Has a very clean and well maintained pool area. Their breakfasts are good. The hotel has a nice gym area and some equipments for yoga and stretching in the room. Overall we had a great experience.

This property is old and musty. It really due for an update. I would not come back.

Great stay and clean

The room was very clean. The staff was very professional and polite.

I was unfamiliar with EVEN hotels but I will be returning. The check-in process was hassle free with check-out being even easier. I was in a handicap accessible room that was cleaned to basic hotel standards. The one issue I did have was the ant problem in the bathroom. A pest control visit must have just occured as there were dead ants along the walls, in the cervices under the sink, along the shower, around the toilet and in every corner where bugs go to die. There were also those that survived. Ants were crawling along the countertop, in the sink, in the shower, in the kleenex box and there were a couple folded in our towels and washclothes. I definitely prefer ants over bedbugs but this is something that could have easily been corrected prior to booking the room. Wiping all surfaces, sweeping the floor to remove insect carcasses, mopping with the appropriate chemicals to clean and sanitize the floor, and an additional round of pest control treatment for all areas of the bathroom should have been sufficient. Repeat if necessary. I spent one night so I didn't feel the need to change rooms or complain and I clean these areas to my liking before use, however, if I were wheelchair bound this pest control problem would be a big issue. Some cool features that I enjoyed include the LED clock/speaker. We were able to listen to music from my iPod instead of just watching TV, the workout equipment in the room, and ice machines on each floor.

At first glance this hotel looks nice, but after a closer look and stay I wouldn’t stay here again. Hallways not clean. Stayed for 4 days and not once did someone attempt to even run a vacuum down the hallways. Stuff all over the carpet. Bed was comfortable, pillows not so much. Don’t go to the bar! Had to teach the bartender how to make a martini after watching him struggle trying to figure their own drink out. No experience and no training, which is sad bc he was very nice and the bar area was big.

It was nice but the room was a bit small

We had a terrible room, the hotels AC unit was right by our window which was very noisy. We had only one regular coffee K-cup.

It was very clean and convenient, the bed was comfortable. The gym was great bonus. The only issue was the noise. We could hear people above us walking around, arguing at midnight. The door to adjoining room allowed us to hear all conversations and it was loud.

The walls are thin and it’s noisy at night. The room door wouldn’t lock. Got out of there first thing in the am.

Hotel is nice, new building. Location is very comfortable, a lot of shops and restraunts around. But AC in hotel room was awful. Air was flowing direct bed and you cant change dorection fo flow, and it was noisy

Stayed for 2 nights in a King Suite. The living room and bedroom was very spacious. Living room had a lot of lighting and space to walk around. King bed was very comfortable with ambient lighting to top it off. The only complaint I have is the bathroom. Very basic and the walk-in shower was kinda disappointing. Couldn’t move the shower head, very small space, and didn’t feel “luxury”. But overall a nice stay, staff was very helpful and nice. Would stay again but would honestly get a premium room instead of Suite because the bathrooms seem nicer in the premium room

Music blasting until 1-2am most of stay. They offered to have me go upstairs with them to check for noise they didn’t hear. What?! They offered to move my room at 1:45 in the morning with my six year old in tow. Don’t stay if you want to sleep.

Beautiful hotel overlooking lake.

Very nice rooms, pet friendly, very clean, great daily service. Only issue, which may be temporary, is that the Wi-Fi signal was weak and occasionally dropped connection. Otherwise fantastic experience and would enjoy staying again.

The time to check in was very long. I can understand that there was a soccer tournament in the area that weekend but the hotel staff was severely shorthanded to deal with the amount of check ins to handle the influx. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the amenities of the hotel either. Our shower door wouldn't stay closed and the water pressure was severely low as well. I paid and requested a lake view and unfortunately I did not receive one either. I didn't want to take the time to fix the issue because I didn't want to have to wait as long as I had to when I checked in. For the price point that was paid, I would have thought coffee was complimentary but it's not. Hate to say but I left there disappointed.

We had to find a new hotel since are original hotel was having some issues. It was a completely easy check in, the staff were so polite and professional. We will stay again when we are in that area.

The hotel staff was brand new they could not find our reservation, then insisted we do not get breakfast, even though I paid for it ahead of time through Hotels.com, after 30 min of waiting another employee can and showed her we did pay for it. We proceeded to the restaurant and were told they can't serve us because the room was not cleaned by the night staff and it would be an hour or so before we could eat!! We were there fore a sport event and could not wait. I asked for a refund for the breakfast that i prepaid for, and was told sorry I can't, No managers are here. I EXPECT A REFUND IMMEDEDIATELY. VERY OVERPRICED FOR THE TERRIBLE SERVICE WE RECIEVED.

I came here for surgedy and needed to stay a few nights in a hotel. Things took a turn for the worse when I fell and ripped open stitches and staples. I also ended up with a huge hematoma. I underwent emergency surgery to stop the hemoraging. The staff was so great because we only had reservations till Thirsday morning and i was still hospitalized. They let us keep our room for as long as we need it. What great custoner servixe and kind employees.

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!!!! Booked a room and paid in advance. Arrived at the hotel at 4AM and they told me they did not have a room for me and that I could go try to find a room somewhere else. Was forced to sleep in my car for the night and then had to find another hotel to stay in. The staff did nothing to help or remedy this situation. Would never stay here or recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere!

Great hotel in a very convenient location near the mall and lots of food options. Pool and outside area was beautiful. Got to watch the sunrise over the pool one morning, so gorgeous. Staff were great. Gave me a late check out without any charge. Would stay again!

Very convenient to I95 and the airport. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the personnel very friendly. I will stay here again next time I'm in Sarasota.

Room smells like a sweaty gym locker. Maybe, just maybe, it’s because you put workout equipment IN THE ROOMS? Brilliant concept. Let’s put workout gear in a stuffy box and tell them it’s for their personal health. While the next guy has to breathe their perspiration aromas. Breakfast is not complimentary, expect to bring $20 min for basic options. I will say the AC is nice and cold and blows loud to drown out the slamming doors, but this unit, when it shuts off sounds like the showcase wheel on Price of Right. Dink-dink-dink-dink-dink…dink. I think the fan blade is hitting something metal on spin down. Works great for disrupting your deep REM sleep.
