Excellent location and right next to an upscale mall with tons of dining and shopping options. The hotel is immaculate and the room smells so clean when you walk in; it's wonderful. Drinks were great in the evening, lobby has tons of niches to sit in and there's a great open area terrace that you can relax in during the day or night. The gym is well equipped and I got a great workout there. The towels could have been a little softer but that's the only negative I could come up with. Great location, great hotel, friendly staff... will visit again!

Many shops & restaurants were connected to the hotel or in walking distance. Pool was clean and well kept. Water for bathroom sink & shower was warm even on the coldest setting.

Great place to stay close to the Airport and Westshore area. Hotel next to the mall is an added bonus. The lounge was also great but its not open all days so we couldn’t take advantage of it.

Excellent staff, especially the receptionists - fast check in and check out. Security wonderful in locating my amazon packages. Dining staff were so thoughtful. I especially liked the free shuttle from the airport, club room (maybe the offering could change during the week?) and sundown drinks from 5pm - excellent!! Thank you for helping us with a great stay.

Room was great for our stay close to the airport. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The kids liked the pool and the hotel has a well equipped gym. We loved that it connects to the mall and we were able to shop and eat without needing to drive.

We had an amazing time at the Renaissance in Tampa. Everyone was very courteous, kind, and helpful from the very first time we got there the valet hotel desk, staff room, service bar, and restaurant. The hotel was in excellent location we enjoyed doing that the pool and the bar service. also very happy to report. We had the best Long Island iced tea ever. Big shout out to the bar server from Chicago with the green glasses. I feel bad we didn’t get her name. Thank you. Enjoyed our stay the Moores.

The property is clean and attractive, however I thought having to go to the front desk to request and sign out towels, then returning them after use was inconvenient. Do guests willing to pay $350 /night generally steal pool towels? I think not.

Room was clean, and so was the hotel! Very beautiful. The airport shuttle was convenient and so was the walk to the mall. Staff was very friendly! I will definitely be coming back!

Several long hairs on the bathroom floor, husband had a long dark hair which appeared to be cooked in his scrambled eggs he got from the buffet. Beds not the most comfortable. Overall, hotel is nice.

The right place to stay for shopping at the International mall. What you would expect of a high class hotel. Only negative was you could hear any noise in the hallway and showers being used in another room.

The property was nice. However, basic amenities in the room itself were not up to par. The TV was not working the first night, and the AC blew right onto the head of the bed. It was hard to wind down for the evening with no TV and everytime the AC cycled on I was blasted with cold air to the face while I slept.

All of it was pretty fantastic . Clean , helpful, Pretty , great area, lots to do, easy Uber and Lyft access. I also had a heart warming experience when housekeeping turned in my wedding band I left by sink and the manager Zac helped get it overnighted to my home. That alone would have made any recommendation pretty high but I had a great experience prior so it literally can't get any better than this review right here. I also travel quite a bit and love Marriott / affiliate hotels !

The property itself was nice. Had it not been for one incident, I would have rated it higher. In the night of our stay, 2/08, we woke up at 4am to an alarm in the stair well saying there is an emergency and to exit the building. After waiting out in the dark for 40 minutes, the alarm eventually went off and everyone standing outside went back to their rooms. It was not until the next morning that we were informed of a fire and was told it was not a drill. I am glad we were made to exit, so that isn’t my issue. My issue is that had our room not been by the stairs, we would not have heard the alarm. In fact, many guests slept right through it. My other issue is that not a single hotel employee came outside to explain the situation. We were confused, standing outside, and when everyone went in, it was near impossible to catch someone to explain. I was unable to go back to sleep because we still were unsure of what the “emergency” was until next morning. There are other things that come to mind in addition to a potential fire, so imaginations can run wild. Especially when you have your children with you. So, I am rating this lower due to communication and concerns that if the fire escalated, many guests may not have heard the alarm and could have been in danger.

I paid $800 for a double room and was not able to get my room until late in the evening. Check-in is supposed to be 4:00PM. I went to the desk at 4PM, was told my room was not yet available because "a person with a very high Marriott status was still using it." Ok... but it's 4PM? Told them I had a business dinner at 5PM, and needed to change and get ready. So sorry... no room. I came back at 4:20... still not available. Came back at 4:40... nope, ot of luck. I got livid. They then gave me a "termporary room" to change in. No great, since I was out of time, but I left my luggage there and was able to quickly change clothes. I finally got my room after dinner, late into the evening. They have come into my temporary room and moved my luggage to the new room, but didn't bother to tell me this until I discovered it for myself. $800 for this service? Unbelievable... they should be ashamed.

My car got hit by another car while waiting for valet. They were busy but only had one person working valet. I checked in and after an hour got a phone call to come downstairs. I went and they showed me the huge gigantic dent. They wouldn’t even compensate me

Rocky start. My flight landed at midnight so I called when I booked the room to ensure I can check in at 1am. I was told “ yes” on 2 separate occasions 1) myself directly 2) rep from Hotels.com When I was checking in at 2 am ( airport ran out of rental cars). Also booked with Hotels.com - I was told by a very rude Renaissance rep at the front desk - sorry, you can’t check in until 4 pm and you’ll need to find a new hotel. This is at 2 am!!! After waiting for the night manager - miracles happened and a room was available. Based on the lack of customer service and stability with check in procedures, I will not stay here again

we loved staying at The Renaissance. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Being located right in International Plaza, we were just steps away from great dining and shopping. An extra plus was the Concierge Club (which was included in our room rate). A beautiful oasis for breakfast to pre-dinner treats and even desserts in late evening.

This is not what I would cause a 4-star property. Except for the Bartender on duty when I check in, this place should be rated 3 stars. Boxes on Room Service instead of plates and silverware, are just average. The room service menu and bar menu on the same item, i.e., wings are quite different. The wings on room service was excellent. The wings at the bar were subpar. While the location and the facilities are excellent. Several amenities are like going to a Quality Inn. Just not worth the price charged for the hotel. Expect more.

I always have a great experience when I stay at the Renaissance. My wife and I were here for a Buccaneers game, and this is the place to stay. They have a great outdoor food court that is attached to the mall. They have a great restaurant in the hotel, called Gabriella's. Great food.

Breakfast was soggy due to the containers, steam evaporating, and water settle into the food. I wish a little bit more selection would’ve been great. The staff was outstanding no complaints. I would give the cleaning crew five stars. They helped out with everything that was needed and very prompt. When it came to the bathroom, I would say the fan wasn’t working to take the steam out of the bathroom. It got really hot in there. The water was not hard enough. I wish we could’ve smoked outside is a great area. Unfortunately it’s not smoking, though. You have to literally stand outside the hotel to smoke.

Food at restaurant was over priced and not of good quality The grilled octopus was the worst I ever had it was a pale white color and only grilled mark where chared ends The fish sanwhich was not cooked thru sent it back for more cooking it came back in pieces and the aioli sauce was watery and tastless Eat at the Mall not here.

The location is perfect and the room is very comfortable, clean and convenient. The staff is really friendly and proffesional. The areas are beautiful, lobby, hallways, etc. My suggestion, the breakfast is a litter expensive.
