If you’re short on coins, or need a quick stay then book it. Lots of places to eat there, outlets and other restaurants bout 15 mins away. There were a few low budgets things in the room that needs to be fixed or replaced. The POOL was closed indefinitely smh. Needs to be taken off there website and advertisement. Staff courtesy, engagement and attentiveness was low to none. I would not stay there again unless I’m a super budget

Stopped over on a Friday night on the way from FL to NC beaches. Easy to find with Google Maps. Hotel staff was awesome, gentleman at front desk gave two easy options nearby for dinner, both in walking distance. The Mexican restaurant next door was fantastic. My husband picked up breakfast from the offerings downstairs the next morning, easy, tasty and filling. Only concern was the side door on main floor wouldn't automatically close completely and people kept leaving it open. Safety first folks!

I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. Stacey and Phillip at the front desk offer excellent customer service! The only thing I didn't like was. 1. Too many dogs on the property but they are a pet friendly hotel. 2. The pool is out of service looks like it has been for years.

Overall good stay. Room was clean. Staff nice. Heater didn't work in room. Set thermostat at 80 degrees just to see if we would get heat and we just got cold air so we turned it off and the room was warmer without it running. This of course was on the coldest weekend in Savannah. We were at the end of the hallway so we liked to park near the door at the end of the hall but the key card reader wasn't working. Reported it to the staff at the desk and he didn't seem too concerned about it so we didn't bother with the heater.

This stay was not ideal. I started with a wonderful experience with early check-in with Philip. He was kind and accommodating. The lobby was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Our room was clean and in a nice location. When we went to leave we checked on the pool and it was in horrible condition. There is a yellow and green film that covers the pool and it is closed in May. I didn't read the details of the property close enough because the pool is said to be closed right now. I would recommend that they also cover because the look is disgusting. The stay was quiet , convenient to shops/food, and the hotel is clean. The staff that worked breakfast was awesome, but the staff member that entered our room with an employee key at 9:45am was not! When this occured the front desk was called immediately and I was met with an apology and many excuses for the language barrier and new hire lack of training. I would not recommend this hotel.

Continental breakfast better than expected. Motel has lot of unrealized potential. Elevator not inspected in 2 years. Inside stairway fire doors blocked open. Card reader on outside door didn’t work causing door to be blocked open with stone. Inside room windows very dirty. Exterior construction debris tosses in woods. Partial bottle of soda left in refrigerator. 2 burned out light bulbs in room. Lots of missed opportunities.

Bedroom suite was nice and roomy, Roku TV was great. Only problem was the bathroom, one toilet holder was broken, and the shower curtains needed to be replaced because it had the whole bathroom smelling like mildew.

The only good thing was that the bed and only the bed - was clean, and front staff was kind. Bathroom door had brown spots on it, shower curtain was dirty, we found a roach in our bedroom. The breakfast sucked. For the amount of money that I paid I expected more.

Just keep driving. A stop on a road trip for a night and it was gross. The second bed was literally pee stained and smelled like urine. It’s like they put clean sheets over a wet pee spot on the mattress so it all leaked through. So nasty. They didn’t have any empty rooms so they did bring us some rollaway beds. The whole room stunk. No offer of a refund, and I reached out to the hotel and manager and haven’t heard anything back. The staff were nice and tried their best.

First, the staff here is AMAZING they are super kind. I would personally not stay here again. The floors had very dark large stains and our beds have stains on the blankets, our shower was also dirty. It is advertised that there is a pool… except it’s unavailable from April- September. Cool no pool that’s fine we brought our infant and it again is advertised as a crib per room.. but it’s an extra 10$ for a crib and you have to put it together yourself. We have always opted into “extended” stays for laundry. Laundry here is NOT included in your stay it’s 4 dollars to wash and 4 dollars to dry. If you have an option, stay on the 2nd floor as the parking is right at the 1st floor room windows.

Soon arrival we notice roaches in the room both dead and alive. Dirty floor in the bathroom. Informed manager on duty. Had to cut trip short due to the uncleanliness of hotel. My wife spoke with owner and he reimbursed the the last day due to the conditions.

It was absolutely terrible. First off carpet was brown spots just old didn’t want to put my feet on the floor! Then went and put my sheets back what do i see blood on my sheets , My sheets could not have be changed , I was so horrified. The girl down at the desk was helpful. Then roaches in my bathroom!! Never ever again!! I wanted my money refunded!! No i did not get it!! Terrible experience!! Never again

The room was decent, but the room was not clean. It’s almost as if no one checked on the room nor has stayed in the room. I’m very leery at sleeping in two star hotels for the reasons I have listed above. My biggest concern is insect, and I found at least 2 dead insects. Also found hair which attributes, to the uncleanliness and poor housekeeping. When I see bugs, it’s hard for me to sleep. I usually don’t leave reviews, but I was traveling for work. That was only there for a few hours so I didn’t get the best sleep.

Lobby is updated but rooms were not the cleanest. Not vacuumed and a used towel on the back of the door. No shampoo and limited bath towels. Check-in/out was easy.

Very clean. Great service. Quiet and quite comfortable. The only complaint is with the TV in the room. When I turned it on, I had to tell the TV via the remote control where the card was, HDMI 2 or 3. Every time I changed the channel I had to go through that routine again. Every channel was the same station and the same program. I had to depend on my phone for entertainment.

We really appreciated the spacious room. It was clean and appeared to have been newly refurbished. The bathroom was a little outdated and showed some rust in the tub, but that didn't inconvenience us. A feature I would recommend fixing immediately is the exhaust fan in the bathroom. It doesn't work at all.

Good for a one night stay, but our Tv didn’t work and since there was a adjoining door we could hear everything from our neighbors at 1:00 in the morning and at 6:00 in the morning. I’d definitely request and non-adjoining room next time.

I have become a fan of Wingate hotels as affordable and reliable (clean & comfortable) while traveling. They are a little beat-up here and there but good overall. Had a mini refrigerator and microwave which is good. Had a chair and desk and fairly comfortable living room chair. Room was large and I think it might have been two queens that was converted to a king. TV was small for the room and two remotes was a little confusing. Roadway outside was kind of noisy but I wear earplugs at night so it didn't bother me too much. I missed out on breakfast because it closes at 9:01am. It opens at 6am for the early risers which I am not. Would prefer the extra 30 minutes at the end rather than in the beginning because I had to get ready and take some work calls until 9am. It is located in a generic area off the the freeway. Lots of gas stations and fast food places nearby, as well as a Food Lion grocery store. It was about 25 minutes to downtown Savannah. Staff were nice but please don't engage in personal calls when you are checking me in. Not respectful to your guests.

The Front desk Clerk was super nice and welcoming. The room was clean with some upgrades. The coffee Machine in the lobby was my favorite. Check out was easy and clerk was nice. Parking was easy, safe and there were a variety of places to shop and eat nearby

I initially chose this hotel out of convenience. From the moment, one of my family members arrive at the hotel until the next morning when we left, we were extremely pleased with our entire stay. At the top of our list is your entire Hotel staff, they were all very friendly, polite, and accommodating. I have future plans to return to Savannah and know exactly which hotel I will choose for my stay. Our many thanks to your entire staff and we appreciate everything they had done for us to make our stay a very pleasant one.

Checking in, the Front Desk was vacant. After asking a housekeeping staff member and 10 minutes, a very irritable young woman (young African-American with dyed red hair) approached the desk continuing her phone conversation with her ear buds in. She was complaining about her manager and the company, never greeted us, and stormed out the front door after shoving our keys to us. There never seemed to be a manager on duty; I requested several times over a couple of days; the door to her office was always opened wide, but vacant. The bathroom tub had mold; the shampoo had been left from a former tenant; and we suffered a power outage that apparently was something "that happens all the time," per the staff. On a positive note, the room itself was clean, and the breakfast was good.

Would not recommend. Rude staff, pool is BLACK and doesn't work, when I was at the counter to speak with someone about the property conditions and to request a refund so we could find another more suitable hotel... the front desk lady sent a gentleman up to my room where my minor child was to "check the room" and see if we "used" it before they would give me a refund... he let himself into the room with a master key card and my daughter was terrified. what if she was in the shower? very unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. Atleast they gave me back my money, i guess.

The only positive thing I can say is the beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff had zero customer service skills at check in and we felt like we were a huge inconvenience. Rude on more than one occasion. I'm a huge customer service person. The front desk person is the first impression on your guests. Attitudes speak volumes. The breakfast was ok but food ran out and a lot of people were waiting a while for the attendant to refill things. I've stayed at better and worse places. Not sure I'd stay here again purely on the overall attitude of the employees.

The gentleman behind the check-in counter was great. Unfortunately, their system was down for a bit when we arrived to check-in and he tried everything he could do to help in spite of a tough situation. Our room had multiple outlets that did not function. This was a hassle trying to find a working outlet for my cpap. The morning breakfast was subpar at best. It was fine for the price and convenience but would likely try another property next time.

Terrible breakfast because limited selection and can be improved. Their idea of sausage was skiced hotdogs. Building structure was old. Just expect bare essentials. On a posotive note, the hotel staff is courteous and responsive. The bed sheets are clean and mattress is comfortable. AC was fine.

The breakfast was your ordinary waffle toast fruit yogurt. Your basics. Very quiet time of year. Mostly workers in the building. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were mildly updated. A nice little town with food options. Easy access. I'm off. The highway staff were great dog friend.
