Had another hotel guest listen into my room, ear to my door at 2:30 am. Hotel staff did nothing. Room had strong mildew smell & mold on walls and bathroom door. Lots of people hanging out outside drinking. Dirty unheated pool. But the real problem is the pervert housekeeper who decided to bang on my door at 10 am about 5 knocks then opened the door. The whole time I was saying “one minite” “ I’m coming” hold on” then it was “stop” “don’t open the door” “close it” as he is looking at me naked inside my hotel room through the crack (fortunately I had the top latch locked so he couldn’t see more). Front desk told me he wasn’t supposed to knock on my door or any door surrounding mine, let alone go inside. Staff did not refund reservation. I have not heard back from the manager (I was told manager will be here in 10-15 minutes, after 45 minutes, he did not show and I left.) very disappointed and disgusted.

They could not provide me with a hotel key that worked. After three different rooms and not being able to get into a room, they just basically told me good night. When I asked for a refund, they said sorry we cannot give you a refund call hotels.com. Hotels.com does nothing for you. I just got scammed out of money and provided no room

Excessive amount of day workers who liked to hang out in the parking lot all night drinking wasn’t that great. Also, would have been nice to know the pool was closed because we would have gone somewhere else. Overall staff were nice, facility was clean and it’s a good choice if on a budget. Personally, I would not go back with all the other options available.

Check in was quick. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant we were to be there for three nights five of us. Two adults, two teens and an autistic 8 year old. Breakfast was mediocre at best, cereal and biscuits that you have to microwave with canned gravy. Can not be taken back to your room. You have to bring your towels to exhange them. We couldn’t get more than 4 at a time had to constantly use our beach towels. There site says they have laundry available. One of the reasons we picked them on a two week vacation… no washer and dryer! And then my son had an accident in the middle of the night.. there was no one at the front desk we had to hunt someone down and knock on a room .. then they have no extra bedding. So from 4:30 am that morning we were awake and couldn’t go back to bed. Since there was no extra bedding to exchange it. So they serviced our room with the clean bedding while we were gone. Only made the one bed and only left us with the three towels. So once again we had to walk all the way around and ask for more towels again. This hotel will not be on our return trip list!

My stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Savannah GA on July 22, 2025, was disappointing. The room was not clean, and I noticed bugs shortly after checking in. This was especially concerning because my child has a severe allergy to bug bites. Due to these conditions, we felt unsafe and could not comfortably stay the night.

The both room was nasty. Pubic hair in the shower and dried piss and pubic hair on the toilet. If we didn’t just driver 16 hours we would not have stayed. We all slept on top of the blankets fully clothed.

The property is about what you can expect from a lower tier motel. Rooms are recently renovated but have flaws when actually looking at the design and finish ( paint streaks, painted over flaws, paintings and wall hangings not balanced.) but the real issue comes to livability. There was black mold spots on the walls and corners of the room, and humidity was high indoors to the point where everything felt damp to the touch. This made for an extremely unfortunate experience and I don’t recommend stopping here. Staff was nice and greeted me. They were not informed of this experience.

Found two live roaches and another large bug. Smelled of mold and mildew. However, bed sheets seemed clean and the water was instantly hot. They’ve painted and tried to make it nicer, but for what we paid, it was fine.

Wi-Fi never worked, front desk employee was rude, fridge didn’t work, TV picture was not good, and walls are paper thin. Even the beds have an annoying metal base that you constantly kick with your foot by accident. Only thing good was the shower.

THE TOILET DIDN'T FLUSH RIGHT. THERE WAS STAINS OR DIRTY SPOTS ON THE TOWELS. THE NOISE FROM OTHER ROOMS WERE LOUD AND KEPT US UP MOST OF THE NIGHT FROM SLAMMING DOORS, MOVING FURNITURE, SOUNDING LIKE THE PEOPLE ABOVE WERE GOING TO CRASH THROUGH THE CEILING.

They messed up with our deposit and claimed it didnt come off of our card. It in fact did. And when we asked to use a different card to pay said deposit they claimed the computer got confused since we booked the room under a different card when really the front desk lady said we can use th e other card without realizing it already took the deposit off of a different card. They told us it would be back on our card by that night since they did refund it but we still dont have it. Instead of validation and apologizing for this said inconvenience they claimed it never came off the card even though it did twice because they charged both cards. Not to mention, they never came and cleaned the room one time while we were there. We had to get our own towels and toilet paper. Property is nice but management is ass.

We reserved 3 rooms for 5 nights- after two days we had to ask for new towels. They were never delivered. We had to pick the up. Rooms were never cleaned. No shampoo- or amenities. Front desk was rude- especially when we requested the plugged toilet (was plugged when we checked it!) be fixed! One air conditioner was broken and rain constantly! Just HORRIBLE!!

Avoid this area and keep driving. Shady looking characters sitting in chairs smoking on the walkways eyeing you, and a non-stop hooligan filled party outside next door, complete with loud music and bumping cars and yelling throughout the day and night. They are watching your every move too. Also, hair, blood on the wall and toilet, various other sticky stains and god-knows-what. AVOID.

The room was ok. It could have used a good deep clean. The shower drain was full of hair and dirt. The walls needed a good wipe down. The breakfast was awful. Was not aware of a $100 deposit when we checked in. We had already paid for the room on hotel.com. We had no choice but to pay it. They said 5-6 business days to get that back.
