My overall stay was good. Check-in was easy and quick. Although the elevator was out of service before our arrival, they were able to get one up and running, which was a bit concerning, but it got us to our destination without any issues. The rooftop pool was nice, but the floor it’s located on was extremely hot. Since there was only one working elevator, we had to wait in the heat for 20 minutes. I liked that the rooms featured DOVE products. Despite the technical issues we experienced that weekend, I would still recommend this property.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was at the perfect downtown location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend using the garage next door to the hotel instead of valet. We stayed 3 nights and the garage, next door was only $57 for all 3 nights. It would have been that, nightly at the hotel. Everything is within walking distance. No need for valet.

Great check-in. Parking at the hotel is valet only and ridiculously expensive. Elevator needs a repair or two--control panel was taped together with masking tape! Breakfast was definitely a nice variety. The ladies working it were so nice and helpful. They work their behinds off keeping everything clean and stocked. Beds were comfortable. Room temperature was easily adjustable and very quick. The bathtub needed a good drain cleaning as it was super slow to drain while showering. Fridge was useful but wish it had a freezer. Ice machine in the hall worked great. The housekeeping staff was nice and worked hard. My only complaint is that they speak little to no English. They're mostly Haitian Creole they explained through a translator app. They need to learn English when u work in the service industry. The location is great. Close to most everything. Watch the crosswalk in front. My daughter and I were almost hit by a car that ran the red light. Saw it happen another time as well. The rooftop pool and hot tub were great, but hot tub is small. The lounge cabana area by the pool was sooo nice. They need working outlets for phone chargers up there. It's not a cheap hotel for being a Holiday Inn Express, but it's because you're paying for the location. Overall really pleasant stay!

Hotel was very clean, staff was very polite and courteous. Had a small billing issue where multiple charges were on our card that shouldn’t be. Staff is working to get issue corrected. As long as charges drop off like we were told they would, it shouldn’t be a big deal. Valet parking staff needs more help. Valet Parking is a convenience service. We waited 20+ minutes for our vehicle multiple times. This made a $50 per day service very inconvenient. Valet staff was very nice and we’re doing the best they could. They just need more people.

Great location and overall good value but the property needs some proper maintenance. Elevators were out half the stay and when the 1 did work it was giving off loud scraping sounds all day/night, bathroom sink was clogged, and I requested a fix for my tv remote that went unresolved. Will probably stay somewhere else if I ever go back to savannah

Well… Let me begin with the positives. Rooftop pool was nice, especially for viewing fireworks (4th of July). Conveniently located across the street from River Street (2 minutes). Bed was comfortable, sheets and pillows SMELLED clean. PLEASE NOTE: Some of what I am about to share may be “preferences” so feel free to take it or leave it. When we arrived, the first room had spots on the carpet and the shower door didn’t seal well. I immediately requested another room. The shower door sealed better but ALSO had spots on the carpet. Then the sink in the bathroom had a rust stain dripping down the side. I used a Lysol wipe and cleaned it. One of the face towels had a reddish stain on it 😳 During our stay, the AC was broken on the top floor, so the gym facilities were not available. They offered to go across the street to the Hampton Inn…not convenient 😞 Housekeeping service was provided every OTHER day and they didn’t empty all trash cans. Consider your room location. Ice maker was loud throughout the night. Our room had a huge wall with a lone window in the corner. Not much light comes into the room. TV channels were basic. Parking is $48 a day. Breakfast was ok. It wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve stayed in but I would not be in a hurry to stay again.

The room we stayed in had a chair in it with visible stains on it and the carpet was old and dirty. The elevator button console was held on with massive amounts of duct tape. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was pretty good.

Truly enjoyed this property. It was in a perfect spot to everything. The staff is very friendly, especially the guys in the evening Valet, great group! The food at breakfast was good, filling enough to get me to lunch. The room was comfortable and clean. I had no issues! Definitely will recommend and also stay there again.

This property is in an excellent location. Very walkable to the waterfront and shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. It is a very busy street so if you get a room against Bay Street, expect road noise.

We were pleasantly surprised that this property was excellent. Easy walk to the RiverWalk with all the restaurants and shoppes plus River St. Our room was spacious and quiet with a bit of a river view. Breakfast was good and the service attendant there outstanding. We were only here for one night but would definitely return. A great stay.

Francois on the front desk went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She was able to look after our bags for us after we had checked out at 11am. We got caught in a heavy downpour on our last day and arrived back at the hotel soaking wet. She provided us with towels and directed us to the nearest rest rooms so we could change out of our wet clothes and into dry ones.

This hotel is really nice but we were told check in time was 4pm. We arrived at 4:50 and were told our room was not ready and then the manager took over and gave us a room that was NOT what we paid for. We paid for a king size bed with a walk in shower. We were given two double beds with a regular tub and a view of the parking structure. When I went back to the lobby to question it, I was told I would have to wait an infinite amount t of time for a king room. She then told me this room was almost $100 cheaper so rather than sit and wait in the tiny lobby, we kept the room we were assigned. I just looked and our credit card was not debited. I’m very disappointed and will not stay here again. I don’t know why rooms were not ready when they said they would be. Plus, it was another $45 to park. Another guest we met said his wifi didn’t work for 3 days and he was there for a conference!

The location of this hotel is terrific. It is right across from a lot of activities on the waterfront. You can get a waterfront view that shows the Savannah convention center. There are lots of boats going. A city parking garage nearby if you don’t want to pay $48 a night to valet your car. But best of all is the staff. The staff is wonderful here. I want to thank Raquel, Aby and Sharyn. These were the front desk ladies that were always so helpful and kind. They were so sweet to everyone you could tell they really enjoy their jobs, and they’re very good at it. I would give this hotel a high rating. I had a maintenance issue. The maintenance man came. He was so polite and helpful. I stayed here four days so I think I have a pretty good idea of what goes on here. So I’d recommend this hotel. It is geographically it’s in the middle of a lot, but not in the main area of town where so noisy and more congested. A lot of roads are closed for work on the street so it’s kind of hard to get around. You have to know which way to go because there’s a lot of one-way streets. and congested you can’t do much .amazalso.

The staff here are all very friendly and helpful. Anytime we needed anything or had questions, the staff was knowledgeable and courteous. We especially love Francois who always greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond. Definitely go to Vic’s on the River for shrimp and grits!!

When we arrived to check in we were told our room wasn’t ready. We waited over an hour past check-in time for our room. We had been travelling for 9 hours with two kids and just wanted to get our room so we could shower, change and go for dinner. The price of the rooms is not cheap! So I expect to get what I paid for! I paid for a room from 4pm-11am! The fact of the matter is you can’t stay past check out! That’s not allowed! So how is giving someone their room late acceptable? The two staff members were rude, unapologetic, and just lacked professionalism. When asked the reason that our room still wasn’t ready we were told the maid service “was just lagging” We spoke with the manager after the staff member at the front desk couldn’t do ANYTHING to help. (That staff member doesn’t seem to enjoy her job. I caught her several times rolling her eyes at customers and her attitude was very obvious that she was annoyed by everyone who walked in for her to check in.)The “manager” wasn’t much better. We decided to stay at this hotel because we had stayed there before and really enjoyed it. This time we brought our family (so we brought more money for the hotel!) We will NEVER be coming back to this hotel when we visit Savanna again. The customer service was so awful it has completely soured our experience. Won’t be giving this hotel another dime in the future. Hiring good professional staff especially when it’s dealing with customer service is key. Horrible experience

Great location for walking to everything in the downtown area - highly recommend. Hotel does offer valet parking for a fee - but would recommend simply parking on your own in the garage next door (same one the valet uses) as it is much cheaper.

The service was fantastic. Everyone was very polite and helpful, from the receptionists to the valet parking attendants. Amazing location!!! Their valet system is very practical, as you just text in advance and your car arrives in 20 or 30 minutes. Checkout at 11am is Amazing. Room with plenty of outlets, which is excellent. Two bad things: breakfast ends at 9:30 am. We went down at 9:05 am and there was no more food. The pancake machine wasn't working well, but after several minutes waiting in line it finally started working. We waited for the kitchen employee to bring more food, and instead of putting it on the counter, she served us herself, which I found very embarrassing because she was adjusting the number of eggs. My daughter had to wait standing for more than 15 minutes until the sausages were ready. It felt awful to be begging for food. So we decided to eat out the next day. The bathtub was clogged, and even though it was a reservation for 4 people, there were only 3 towels. This is so frustrating. Mattress and pillow rating: 7.5 Regardless of anything, I would go back again.

Overall this hotel is in a great location and a huge plus that there is a parking garage right next door and you really dont have to pay the 48 dollars for valet parking. Some downfalls include one of the elevators is broken, the other one doesnt sound good and the buttons are held up by duct tape.... the coffee makers and pancake makers were also broken at breakfast but there were quite a few other options for food. Our room was not overly clean, specifically the bathroom. The location cant be beat. Right next to Riverwalk and also great location to wall the squares.

The gap between the floor and the door was very big. You could hear everything going on out in the hall. One out of the two elevators was working the first day and it sounded like it was going to breakdown at any minute. Having only one elevator in service caused lines and delays. The second day the second elevator was out of service. We were on the 6th floor. The elevator was finally back in service but the lines just got worse. The breakfast was mediocre with a lot of things being out of service. I’ve always had a great experience with Holiday Inn Express hotels, so I don’t know what is going on with this location.
