The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The lobby in particular the rooms are outdated, but comfortable, and the rooftop pool and view is simply breathtaking. I would definitely stay at this location again. In Jesus Christ Name-Romans 8.28

Everything was wonderful- location great, restaurant great, pool on the small side but nice. All of the staff we encountered were warm and friendly. Unfortunately, during our stay only one poorly working elevator was in service. We were on the 12th floor, so stairs were not a viable option. There were 3 elevators and if all had been working it would have been a great stay.

This hotel’s pictures are false advertising. The room’s shower cut off 5minutes in followed by banging of the pipes. Only one piece of gym equipment worked. The service was good, but given what we paid to stay it was no compensation for the rooms and other amenities.

Bedding was stained. Rooms were not cleaned stocked daily. Only one elevator working. Fire alarm was set off by employee with zero direction given to guests upon evacuation and return to hotel. Concerns brought to desk attendant at check out, she couldn’t have cared less. Disappointed.

Pros- great location, beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, spacious rooms Cons- room didnt seem very clean. There were used contact lenses on the desk and our shampoo etc. weren't filled. Thought i booked room with microwave, but front desk tells me no rooms have microwaves, only to find out two othher couples in our party had microwaves. Elevator situation wasnt food. Most od the time just one elevator worked.

Seems all the money went into the lobby. The glamor ended at the elevator. Dark hallways. No cups or glasses in the rooms. Empty soap containers in the shower. Expected more than this. Front desk and valet were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Our room was fine. The bed was very comfortable. Sadly the slider was bolted shut leaving no access to the balcony or ability to get fresh air. The entire hotel was very dark, the hallway almost comically so. The pool was very dirty and the 10 lounge chairs for the entire pool left many people sitting on the concrete. We stayed 3 nights, housekeeping came on day 2 but didn’t return on day 3, which would have been fine had the front desk told me this was the expectation, they did not. The location is fantastic. We parked our car (valet service is a steep $48/day) and never needed it. Every place we wanted to go was an easy and quick walk. While I didn’t love the hotel, for the location, I’d stay here again

When walking in the building lobby it’s beautiful and the staff is great. We were able to check in early because our room was ready which was amazing since we were traveling with the toddler And three month old. My toddler enjoyed the pool so much there were waters and snacks available which was great. The only complain I would have is the cleanliness of the room. The floors were not vacuumed very well as there were snacks from previous guests on the floor. There was hair left in the bathroom as well, and the trashcan in the bathroom was rusted out a bit. The rust doesn’t matter because the trashcan still trashcan it still works, but for it being such a nice hotel, I would’ve expected better. I guess we enjoyed our stay overall. It has a great view. We did have a room with the view that had a balcony, but we were not able to access the balcony, the doors have been bolted down. Which didn’t bother me because I was traveling with the toddler so it just made it safer. Overall, it was great. My son had a blast, enjoying the pool. We could rest in our hotel. We had a great view. The other things were just minor.

Nothing special. The balcony wasn't accessible locked out. Bed was nice view was nice. Location was convenient to walk to anything. Valet parking was required unless you wanted to risk/walk from the street. Its a unique old hotel. They also texted you to death.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of everything so you can easily walk to sights, shopping, resturants, and bars. The hotel is taller than anything around it so the views from the rooms are amazing. The rooms are good sized, the bathrooms are small. In general the hotel is nice, but could use some updating and maintenance.

Beautiful inside, outside looks like it could use a power wash. Close to walk everywhere in the area. The only downside, which was major is the thin walls. Omg, we heard regular volume conversations next door. I could hear their sink and toilet flushing, coughing and again regular tone conversation.

The hotel was lovely however there was only 1 elevator working during the entire weekend..not great for a 15 floor hotel! The Manager was lovely and did provide us with a discount The Housekeeping staff was wonderful. This was our first trip to the Historic District. It was a quaint city with LOTS of places to eat and be entertained. Hotel parking is quite expensive. I would recommend street or public parking. Wear comfortable shoes and explore the historic district. We had a GREAT experience!

Pro valet bring your car right up. Cons, the receptionist did not apply my payment for valet parking. I paid $96 in cash. The African American women with braids did not apply payment to room. When I checked out I had to go back in fourth with receptionist that I paid for parking cash. It was only one elevator working the entire weekend. Had to wait in a line just to go up to room and to even go to lobby. Stayed the weekend and didn’t get any towels or room clean while I was out.

The bartenders at the Proof Bar made awesome drinks with a bit of entertainment on the side😜 We had a delicious breakfast with great Southern Hospitality! The location was perfect and within walking distance to every thing we wanted to see and do.

I had a fantastic experience at The DeSoto Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Everyone was friendly and professional, especially the bar staff, who went above and beyond to make the evenings enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a great place to relax after exploring the city. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to City Market and plenty of other attractions, restaurants, and shops nearby. Valet service was quick and efficient, making coming and going stress-free. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Savannah!

Upon arrival my first room has dirty sheets, which was evident by makeup and hair and wrinkles. I was moved to a new room which had a very strong odor of chemicals that was inspected by maintenance and I was told it was cleaning supplies. I was advised to open a window and I slept overnight with a headache. The next morning before our tour I went to blow dry my hair and the blow dryer was broken, I called 4 times and it took 30 minutes to finally get a hair dryer up to the room. I ended up checking out that same morning a day early. Overall I would never recommend or stay here again.

I had high hopes for this hotel. Things started to go wrong when we tried to shower and found that we had no bath towels. The next day the door lock malfunctioned and we could not access our room. There was a terrible sewer smell in the lobby and 3rd floor hallway. Things happen, but the hotel staff were less than accommodating, one was discourteous to the point that I should have left. After the first maintenance man got us in to the room he disappeared, but the door still would not function. I waited an hour for him to return, but he did not. I had to call the front desk and ask twice for someone to come and fix the lock. All told, it took three maintenance people over two hours to fix the door. It's a beautiful, historic hotel, in the heart of downtown and is convenient to walk to see the city, however, that does not make up for poor service or discourteous staff. I will not return.

Booked two rooms. Texts and email asked me to check in early online so I did, answering that we would arrive at 3:00 for check in. No rooms ready yet. We were told to wait for a call. By 4:20 gave up waiting and came back to lobby. Was called over and offered one room and a call when the second was ready. Call never came. Went back down and reminded them I was waiting at 5:30 and that is when we got our second room and nothing more than a sorry about that. Our 8th floor room ran hot and a wildly loud group next door woke us at 2:20am getting in and are currently keeping us awake with their rude and vulgar conversation that they are carrying on so loudly that my kid is hearing every detail. Meanwhile people down at the street level are now screaming at each other and it all carries up. My bad for thinking this would be a good location for a family visit. First and last stay in Savannah.

The location was perfect. Only a 15min walk to Forsyth Park or River street. Tons of delicious local food options, including 1540 at the hotel. The breakfast package was great. You get exclusive seating at 1540 and a per person credit to use towarda breakfast, I believe its $13. There is valet parking at $48 per night but that comes out of your incendential hold. If you skip daily room service you get a $10 voucher for the bar or coffee lounge. The king room had an outstanding view of the church. The room was comfortable and the ac worked wonderfully. The staff was kind. I woild highly recommend the pool, they offer complimentary water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Older hotel but in good shape, balconies are non-accessible. Super comfortable bed, View was nice from our 13th floor room. AC went out in night - needed to call maintaince - they foxed it in about ½ hour after calling. Bar drinks were fantastic - food was just so-so. Location is just south of main historical district, but still close enough to walk nearly everywhere.

There was no place to plug in my iPhone charger next to my bed. Also I arrived at 7 pm and restaurant was closed and coffee shop was closed to I couldn’t grab a snack or coffee in hotel.
