We found at the time of check in that this holiday Inn was undergoing renovations. All windows were covered with plastics, with no outside view; we felt as if we were in prison. We made complaints to manager about that and the fact that had we known beforehand about renovations, we would never had booked this hotel. Manager cancelled our reservation. We suffered delays, inconvenience, frustration and dismay by the desk person and manager of Holiday Inn at Savannah, GA. A call was made to IHG and they made alternative reservation at other hotel.

Overall ok, it was under construction so kind of a mess. When booking it said they had a pool and breakfast but had neither. Have to pay for breakfast and pool is covered/closed permanently. The rooms and staff were good

Hotel was ok for our needs as we were only passing through the area. We appreciated the pet friendly environment. Convenience of a restaurant on site was great and there are many options to dine around. Seems like the hotel is under renovation, it does need a lot of TLC. Bathroom was dusty (were they keep the tissue box and the vent was way to stuffed up with accumulated dust).

Stayed one night. Smelled like mold and corner of room had water damage. Roaches twice in the bathroom. If we had arrived earlier I would have asked for money back and stayed at a different hotel.

There were ants in the room. Some were crawling up the wall while others were crawling on the desk. We found a few dead ants on the sheets as well. The next morning, there were dead ants on the desk making us wonder what was actually on that desk that killed them. Additionally, there was a wet washcloth hanging in the bathroom and a wet hand towel balled up on the bottom shelf of the bathroom counter. The tub water faucet had some type of cleaner that had not been rinsed off but allowed to dry on the fixture.

They are renovating and making upgrades to the property, which is nice. Unfortunately, our room was so humid and moldy smelling that we didn’t end up staying the whole night. Our entire ceiling was covered in what looked like black mold.

Some spots on the dark carpet were sticky, furniture needed some update or touch ups on many scratches. The bed was good and the sheets were clean, humidity was high in the room and everything felt moist including the bed. The room carpet needs to be changed asap. Walking in bare feet it feels very uncomfortable, kind of dirty feeling. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Don’t expect fresh fruit or multiple juices available for breakfast, apple juice was the best choice. Breakfast is not a buffet so you have to order a la carte and if it’s busy you may wait long time before wait stuff can take your order. Usually is one person and a front desk person assist and help. Nice little place if you don’t have any big expectations.

The room was nasty there was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling the fan didn’t work in bathroom cobwebs on wall couch was so nasty didn’t even sit on it … the hotel has a foul odor from the time u walk in the door to the room ..dirty carpet .. the pictures online was not like it is in person …. Very disappointed!!!!

My stay at the Holiday Inn was extremely disappointing. In the first room I was given, I saw two roaches one of which got into my food. I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue, and they moved me to a different room. However, shortly before checking out, I saw a lizard in the new room. I brought this to the attention of the front desk again, this time speaking with the manager. His response was that the site was not infested and that he would “accommodate” me. The accommodation turned out to be a mere $15 credit. I have stayed at many hotels and have never had an experience like this. Trust me when I say do not book a stay at this Holiday Inn.

An otherwise pretty good facility came across as unacceptable due to poorly maintained HVAC systems leaking condensate onto the room carpet so that walking without shoes near the ac unit resulted in smelly water squishing between the toes. Obviously the room directly above had a similar problem as black mold was on the ceiling and wall where the unit above us was also leaking. Do not excuse the problem with " it's really humid in Savannah". This just means that the drain needs to work really well. Simple. Solution : fire the HVAC maintenance crew and find someone who knows what they're doing, and cares.

The first room I was in had mold in it. The cleaning staff didn’t clean the refrigerator out and it had people stuff in it from before the second room I went to was great but the toilet didn’t flush.

We’ve stayed at this hotel previously and this will probably be the last time. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The air conditioner was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. The bathroom was in poor condition and needs updating, and our towels were damp when we arrived to our room.

Ladies at the front desk were amazing and I have nothing bad to say about the staff. The room was about what you would expect for cheap. But the noise kept me up all night…between the neighbors slamming their doors, the LOUD AC unit that was not controlled by the thermostat on the wall (it was there for show), and the smoke detector beeping every 30 seconds at midnight. I could not wait to check out the next day.

The lighting was terrible Old lamps, had to search for the light switch No usb connectors The shower head had NO pressure, took forever to wash my hair. There was a light in the parking lot, had to have blinds all the way down. The pillows looked firm, but, as soon as you laid your head down, they would flatten. No ice machine on floor, there was a room for the machine, but nothing was in it, had to go down to 1st floor in my pajamas to get ice. I-95 is so close, I could hear all the traffic. The windows are old, that’s why we could hear all the noise. We rented two rooms there, and we will never stay there nor recommend anyone to stay there. We were very disappointed.

We love staying here when driving to and from NC. My only piece of feedback for the King Suite we stayed in, is add a second TV to the main room, in addition to the bedroom. My husband had to work part of the evening and was frustrated there wasn’t a second TV. We will, however, definitely book a King Suite again.

The property is older than I thought and in need of new furniture the lamp shades were all busted and made the room look very worn! An old thermostat on the wall made us think the air unit was broken and then we noticed an in the wall unit! The thermostat was from a previous unit I guess! It should be removed looks bad! The fixtures in sink and bath area are old and need to be replaced! Bed was comfortable and pillows were good!

The room we had on floor 2 was very hot and humid. It was so damp in there that the floor was damp. We turned the AC on at the lowest setting and just couldn’t get the air cool enough or the dampness out of the room. We didn’t mention it at the time because we checked in late evening and left the next morning. I believe it was room 210 and it’s probably just that the unit needs servicing.

We arrived early evening and when attempting to check on the clerk said all she had availanle fornus was a double queen room. We reserved a king with a sofa bed for oir grandchild. When asked why our choice was not available the clerk said it happens all the time, they get sold out. There was an indication on Hotels.com that 5 rooms of that type were available. Clerk said no refunds were allowed to let us go elsewhere so we were stuck. She was not very helpful at all. We chose this hotel specifically for the king/sofa bed arrangement. The room was good size other than bed issue. Clean. Not well lit but most hotels are not these days. We managed in the dbl queen but were not as comfortable as we planned to be.

There was construction outside the hotel, right outside our window, and the front entry to the lobby was partially blocked, so cars could not pull up for loading/unloading. The hotel interiors are in need of a refresh. Also seems like they need more staff. When we checked out in the morning, there was nobody working at reception. So we just left without telling anyone we checked out.

When I checked in and went to the first room the bed was turned down and used towels in the bathroom as if someone had already been in the room. They gave me a second room where the shades wouldn't go down that overlooked the parking lot. The third room a staff member walked me up and there was someone sleeping in the bed. She asked me to wait because she had a line. I waited a few minutes and got back in the line because it was growing. Checked into the 4th room and it was fine. This took over an hour between the time I got there to the time I was able to get a room. They only gave me a $50 discount for the inconvenience.

Front desk unable to move me to quieter/cleaner room because computer was “frozen” and manager was on property but was “asleep” and not answering their phone. Other desk agent requested a guest to take photos of “dirty room” to prove there was an actual issue before receiving another room. Worst check in process I’ve ever experienced.

Danielle at the front desk was a Godsend after Expedia royally messed up my reservation by never forwarding the reservation to the hotel. I arrived at 8pm with my 80 year old parents after driving 14 hours to find out we couldn’t check in. After countless phone calls between Danielle at the front desk and Expedia and me and Expedia, it took 1 1/2 hours to rectify. The first rep at Expedia hung up on Danielle and all we needed for me to check in was a code. Finally Danielle gave us a room even though we didn’t get the code. I had to call Expedia back and the 2nd rep really took control and got us what we needed. After this experience I won’t use Expedia anymore

The bar staff was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. No customer service skills at all and sometimes just wont wait on you. It should never take 15-30 minutes for a drink. Thank goodnes for Valery getting us a drink.

We picked this location as an halfway point. Didn’t want to be near the chaos of Pooler and the shops two exits north. Easy booking and check in, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Fair price. IHOP very close for breakfast the next morning. Good stop for I-95 driving.

We were told the kitchen was open until 9:30 by the front desk then ordered drinks and told to sit down at a table and they would come and take our order. It was 9:00 and the bartender said they shut down the kitchen. The restaurant and bar are advertised as being open until 10pm on the menu. It was poor communication between the front desk, bar, and restaurant. We were staying there checking in between 8:30-8:45 hoping to not leave, but we ended up having to leave to go to a restaurant.

The breakfast in this Holiday Inn was not a buffet. I don’t mind that in general but it took forever to get your food. instead of 1/2 hour it took over an hour while we wanted to get on the road. The waitress was rude while the suoervisor was extremely nice. It felt like everybody was new at the job and didn’t know what to do

The staff was wonderful, helpful and very friendly! The restaurant and lounge was very welcoming and the food was really good! It seemed as though everyone there was enjoying their dinner and drinks very much. The only thing I can say that was a little upsetting was the shower in my room. It was very clean and nice, but the shower floor was very slippery. I almost slipped twice and I had no choice but to put a towel on the shower floor. Someone could definitely get hurt.
