SpringHill Suites by Marriott Savannah I-95 South

The pool area needs cleaning/updating/new paint. We had to go to the front desk to get towels. Parking lot was dirty/trash and was right next to a gas station. We walked through several parking lots to a nearby restaurant at night with a child. Didn't feel safe.

Location was great! Very nicely appointed rooms. Staff was amazing! Pool and hottub were wonderful.

The room had an odor to it,like cury food. The hot tub didn't work. The first day the pool area was closed< the others days it was open but had no heat or jets. I did make them aware of it but nothing happened. Every time we left and came back the AC was turned off and it was very hot there.

Staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I deliberately spent a little more money to stay here because they have a hot tub. The pool was completely closed. They also offer breakfast, but they do not serve waffles on weekdays.

Hotel room was nice, clean and spacious. I was a little heartbroken because the jacuzzi was out of order but other than that nice hotel, pretty decent breakfast!

Enjoyed my stay. There was trash still in room from previous guest. Also the lamp on the desk is a bit rusty. Also the hot tub was my main reason for booking and it was broken and disgusting with dirty water.

Stay was nice the only disappointment was the hot tub didn’t heat at all and the pool was closed through the entire stay. Room was nice and cozy, very clean, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful!

Not much around the area. Pool was tiny and looked dirty green. Bathroom was a little old. Everything else was ok

My bathroom drain was backed up, when I removed the metal plate it had long hair clothing it up. Very gross, they do not clean bathroom properly.

Floor wasnt vacuumed. Crumbs on table. Mold on shower ceiling.

Not clean as other Marriot hotels

Dirtiest hotel I’ve even been in. There was a cockroach crawling up the wall when we walked in. Dirt up all the walls(not an exaggeration). Bathroom was so dirty you couldn’t possibly have a shower in it. Never stayed in a SpringHill before and definitely won’t be again!

Arriving to the property staff was distracted at the front desk. We got checked in once we were acknowledged. It was an empty lobby so not sure why a guest wouldnt have been priority and should have been engaged as soon as we walked through the door. Once we got into our designated room we quickly noticed that there was gum in the sink as soon as we walked up to the counter that greets you as you walk in. As we moved into the room the tv location was odd and would have been better placed if mounted on the wall with a swivel option. Bathroom had hair still in the bottom pan the weather stripping between glass was not keeping water from running out onto the floor. Brown stain around the shower on to the wall and floor. We went to enjoy the offered hot tub however it was cold and the timer on the wall was loose and a hazard we asked the front desk employee and she mentioned she couldnt do anything about it based on no one being there to assist. Lastly as we turned in for the night the top comforter had a terrible smell we had to remove from the bed there wasnt anytime to call front desk. Since we were leaving in the morning no need to raise a stink. Hopefully this feedback will help you provide a better experience to others for our was mediocre and had a better experience from a red roof inn motel.

This was one of the dirtiest hotels we have stayed in. The room (2 queen beds and a sofa), was filthy. The toilet was disgustingly dirty...I don't think they have heard of a toilet brush. The heater was full of dust and dirt, the table had candlewax and hair left on it. I would not use the coffee maker; the inside was filthy. My husband refused to shower, it was so dirty. I used a plastic garbage bag to stand on in order to shower, and the water pressure was a trickle. For a room that could handle up to 5 adults, it had only one insulated cup, 1 tea bag, one hand towel, no laundry bag. We asked about decaf or herbal tea, and was told there was none. The ironing board had stains as well as the sofa. The hotel was very run down. Even the thermostat in the room was broken, you could not see the numbers to set it. Very disappointed in the Marriot brand. Will never stay here again. After seeing how dirty everything was, we opted not to stay for breakfast even though it was included in the rate. I have photos, but they would not upload.

Wouldn't take a shower there was do much soap scum on the glass. Highly disappointed, trust me im not finicky. Expecting better from Marriott

Quick on off hwy, easy parking, room space was good & beds were comfy - floor (carpet) was very dirty, a/c was off upon arrival (middle of summer) and room was horribly old sock and mildew smelly. There was actual black mold on the a/c and we all woke up with irritated sinus. Shower pressure was good and water was steady hot. Broken soap dispenser in shower. Prior ceiling leak had obvious shoddy patch job. Breakfast was good/expanded continental.

After reading the reviews I was a little worried about our stay. Our room was okay, wasn’t dirty but wasn’t 100% clean either. The shower door was not clean and there was dental floss on the floor. There appeared to be some “white spots” on the wall and couch, kinda gross but we didn’t plan on touching the wall above the bed and the couch. There was a crack in the ceiling but we didn’t notice that until we were ready for bed. Tv was in a weird spot, making it hard to see from one side of bed. Bed seemed smaller than a king but was comfortable. Pillows sucked, bring your own! The ac in our room was weird, it didn’t really cool the room even when we set it to 65. The coldest it got was 71 but it was putting out warm air, so it felt hotter. The hot tub and pool were open and nice. At first it was dark in there since only one light was on but after 20 minutes all the lights came on. It’s located near restaurants and gas stations so you can easily walk to get food. Overall, the hotel was fine. Nothing fancy but it’s a budget friendly hotel so you can’t expect fancy.

Great for a quick overnight stay. Room was clean and the mattresses were really comfortable. Didn't explore going outside the hotel to eat. Breakfast was pretty decent. No water in the room. No lotion in the bathroom.

Supposedly has free internet, but I was not able to access the internet connection at all on my laptop. Also, the closet door was broken and there was a random screwdriver in the room. Finally, I was given an accessible room (and unable to change it) despite the fact that I reserved a regular King room. Not my best experience.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at Springhill Suites. I know you have been renovating. I’ve had an interior design business in Manhattan for 50 years. Your bath mirror frame (Room 334) is too high. My head sat between the bottom and the mirror frame. Pretty light, but not good enough to really put on makeup. Too soft. The light switch in the bathroom started a very noisy and annoying fan. Not appreciated at 3:00am. My A/C was also very noisy. Why, in this day and age, AND after you renovated? Fire your designer… Otherwise, lovely stay.

Love the beds. So comfy!

Room was comfortable BUT - the A/C was difficult to "get right"; even adjusting the temp with the thermostat, it took an hour to get the right temperature air to blow. The hair dryer was difficult to find, and there was black mold in the shower grout: TOTALLY GROSS!!

Overall, the property itself is very nice. Being very close to I95 makes it a little noisy.

Check-in was easy. The woman at the front desk was nice and professional. She gave easy to understand directions to the room. My only complaint is the 4g in this area is horrible and the wifi did not work in our room. We had to go to the lobby to use the wifi. The room was large and clean. Shower was very nice. Coffee was actually pretty good also. Would absolutely stay here again.

Comfortable and quiet room with good security. Need heat lights in bathroom for when getting out of shower. Check pressure in shower and if it's very low, ask to change rooms. Need better lighting (brighter) over bathroom sink for shaving, applying makeup, etc.

My family travels alot. For work and for pleasure. I get kinks happen in a hotel and that things can go wrong. What matters is the staff. It can make or break the entire stay. The staff here is probably some of the best I've ever encountered. Everyone was beyond friendly and accommodating. Made one little kink not a big deal at all. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if your traveling with kids.

When I checked in, the desk clerk said I had to pay $80.00 as some sort of security deposit and I was told it would be refunded when I checked out. As of the time of this message, I have not received this amount credited to my credit card. Please see that this gets done. Thank You.

The first two rooms we were sent to had been used and not cleaned. WOW!? Staff at the front desk did not seem to really care at all.

Average Marriott hotel with unpleasant experience during checkout

Our check in was a bit bad. Checked in and went to our room. A few minutes later we could hear a key card accessing our room. They had programmed another traveler to access our room. They went and got new keys. However, when theirs were reprogrammed they wiped ours out so that ours no longer worked and we had to get ours reprogrammed. Other than that we were very pleased with our stay.

The area was convenient with shops and places to eat and close to Walmart.

Good location, easy on off rt95.

Perfect location for us. Not only are there several gas stations, quick bites and a Hooters at this junction- it’s a mile from the awesome CreekFire Camp grounds and a quick 12 minute (or $40 Uber ride each way- plan ahead because the wait is 30 minutes for pick up) to historic Savannah and all that it has to offer. The hotel is clean and rooms are very spacious. West Elm furniture, comfortable bed, nice bathroom vanity lighting and very hot water with great pressure in the shower. There’s a pantry in the lobby if you need to grab some snacks or in my case a beer and some wine. BONUS- check out is at noon. I didn’t use the pool or the gym- breakfast is scrambled eggs with potatoes and sausage as well as cereals, waffles, bagels, juices and coffee.

This was such a nice property. It was very clean so easy to get to off of 95.

I like Springhill Suites for the most part - their rooms are spacious. This one in particular is not in a good area. There must be a homeless encampment near the area. Lots of panhandling in the area. It was convenient to the campground that is 1mile away that family was staying at.

Hotel is very nice. Located within walking distance of restaurant. Stay if traveling north on 95 below Savannah. Traffic in Savannah on 95 south is terrible.

Nothing unique. Room was average. The breakfast was nothing special. No eggs. Had to go to Ihop next door

Breakfast excellent, and woman who took care of all of us travelers. Housekeeping staff kind and gracious. Front desk friendly and helpful. Would definitely return !

The staff was great all week, until Saturday morning. The staff that was preparing the food was talking in the area people was gathering waiting on a bit to eat, and OMG the lady that was talking to the manager was so rude to the people. Out right RUDE. She told one lady " Don't start, ". WOW the poor lady only ask when will things be ready.

Clean and smelled good. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the potatoes and the eggs. Great cereal selection and love those waffles

The room smelled like pot. The breakfast was not replenished at 9am. Still had 30 mins to serve! Front desk very friendly. Wanted a tray to bring coffee and breakfast up to the room they did not have. Vibe was not super friendly just average.

Our room was not very clean. Shower doors were covered in soap scum. Soap dish next to sink had soap in it from previous guests. Floor in general was not very clean, especially around the baseboards. In the morning, they had run out of coffee cups by 8:45 a.m. and offered no alternatives. It's difficult to understand how the hotel couldn't have anticipated this shortage and remedied it. Guests were going back to their rooms to get their cups from there, but why couldn't the hotel put those out instead? If you had already used the cup from your room you were out of luck. The waffle maker was also broken.
