The hotel was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to front desk were so nice. Loved the evening wine reception and entertainment. Wayne was the perfect host. The hotel is located conveniently and within walking distance of restaurants and historic sites. Recommend using the public garage behind the hotel if you’re not going to be driving much - only $20/day - versus valet parking ($40+/ day)

The Marshall is an historic hotel, very conveniently located. The staff is very helpful. It costs extra per day to park. Be sure to contact the front desk at least twenty minutes before the valet gets your car....that is the only drawback.

Amazing hotel right in the middle of Savannah. Convenient to everything! Breakfast was cozy and delicious. Reception areas welcoming. Free ice cold water in the lobby. Hot coffee in the morning. 5 o’clock wine and cheese hour. ❤️

We like the convenient location. The room was spacious and the staff was very accommodating. Enjoyed the availble water. There were a few condition problems in the room. A shower head that they fixed, a bad iron that they replaced and the charging station didn't work. Didn't like the $43.00 per day charge for valet.

--had not visited Savannah since '85, and my impressions are remarkably better, with the Marshall House playing a key role. She has been beautifully restored. Our room 219 a trip back in time with an egress window access to the promenade balcony overlooking the city's historic main street of Broughton, with fine dining a minute's walk away. This room also offered a vintage claw-footed type bathtub which my wife very much enjoyed; king bed provided a comfortable night's sleep. The included breakfast was excellent. The staff gave us a warm welcome with good service throughout our stay (especially Terri at desk), and the neighborhood environs charming and secure. My only complaint was the rate and the calculation of the cost of valet parking (we arrived 9pm on a Friday, left 9am on Sunday, and charged three full days-- but that is the same system used by our doggie daycare, so I guess I'm just grumpy),- and I understand there is a public structure somewhere behind the hotel for those interested in that option. Intend very much to return (gw) to both Savannah and this fine hotel.

My husband and I stayed there on a short couple getaway. It’s a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Historic Savannah. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have a great free happy hour with wine and cheese. One night they had trivia and another night they had a great harpist that played everything from Metallica to Moon River. They also had a good hot breakfast that was included. We didn’t eat at the restaurant attached, 45 Bistro, but others said it was very good. If you stay there and have a car, it is a lot cheaper to self-park in the city lot right behind the hotel rather than valet with the hotel.

We loved the Haunted fact of this historic hotel ! Having a Balcony room was Awesome we really enjoyed sitting and people watching etc. Bed was little hard and the room was Dusty .. Bathroom blinds Ceiling trim and window entry to balcony dusty dirty . Not clean for the price

Bed & bathroom were clean but overall maintenance was terrible. Extremely loud air conditioner, dirty walls, filthy, filthy air vents and dirty stained furniture. We knew it was historical & wouldn’t have a lot of tech, but there’s no excuse for the poor maintenance. Staff were all very friendly!!

My 300 plus dollar a night room was dirty. There was sand on the floor and in cracks. Mold on ceiling and the blinds in the room looked to never be cleaned. The glass on side tables were smudged and very dirty. For what we paid it was over priced. It was also very noisy all the time. Lou’s bangs. Door slams and bangs.

The front desk staff and concierges were incredibly unfriendly. Not once did they greet us, coming or going although my husband and I said good morning to them daily. When we were checking out, we walked past after sitting waiting for a taxi, no one said hope you enjoyed your trip or come back soon. Thd dining room staff couldn’t have been nicer. The woman who serves wine every night, Karen was wonderful. Very disappointed in the lack of Southern hospitality that your front desk exhibited. Really sourdough opinion of your beautiful hotel.

The room was excellent and really loved balcony! I have wanted to stay here for a long time and it was all I dreamed of. The mattress isn’t the best with springs but the view and the old fire place and claw foot made up for it. Walked around town did a little shopping and eating. Toured around the hotel and enjoyed all the history of the place! No scares this time but I’ll be back to stay again.

The Marshall House is a fantastic stay if you’re visiting Savannah, GA! It has an old charm, and also a storied history that goes back to the Civil War, where it was used as a hospital, so there are plenty of ghost stories floating in the air. It is also in a perfect location, walkable to River St, and the city market within 10 minutes. The room itself was very quaint, and had history itself, to the large armoire that is at least 75 years old. The bed was comfy, although ours did have a slight droop on the left side, this could have been from the flooring, which was historic itself, or the bedframe/boxspring, either way it’s there. The bathroom was nicely redone and very clean. That staff of the Marshall House were always very welcoming and helpful any time we went or came back. I highly recommend a stay here to everyone!

This hotel values its past over comfort. Our room had an ancient tub surrounded by a shower curtain and no grab bar. The toilet was tiny. There are apparently many such rooms. You need to know to avoid them. A lovely downstairs and excellent adjoining restaurant do not make up for seedy and noisy rooms. Or an alarm clock that went off at 5:30 am! Not coming back.

The lobby and hallways are grand and the atrium where breakfast is served is beautiful and historic. The library was a wonderful gathering place during the reception hour. Live music dod not disappoint, but the staff are what make this hotel great. Lovely hotel excellent staff!

Property was very good. Savannah needs to increase police presence and not just speeding cars but police on foot or bicycle. Too many homeless and vagrants in and around the parks.

This is an award winning boutique hotel with a lot of history. Breakfast was great not the usual pastries and a free wine and cheese with nightly entertainment. We were there two nights one a singer the next a man giving history talks

The property was conveniently located to everything. The staff were very friendly. Food choices surrounding the property were plentiful. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We paid for a hot breakfast every morning. Because their dining room was getting new carpeting, we were offered packaged muffins and cereal bars. Hardly worth the money we paid for! Therefore we had to pay extra to go get breakfast every morning. Seems very unfair.

This place was beautiful and in a great location! Our room was cozy and the shower was very small, but love the staff and the bar and restaurant connected. The breakfast that was included was wonderful! The managers reception every evening is wonderful! Wish I would have picked a different room with a balcony.
