The pool was cold. Jacuzzi is broken.

Nice location. Clean pool and hot tub

Went there for pool and hot tub. Of course they were closed for repairs. Room was 50 degrees when we got there. Took a couple of hours to warm up. No hot water at sink. Took 10 minutes for hot water in shower. Halls and breakfast area were cold. Not comfortable at all!!

Overall a good property. Only concern was the condition of the pool and hot tub which are showing their age, and the pool water was cloudy, as if it had just been shocked. Definitely needed a shower afterwards. Staff members were quick to take care of any requests.

Pool water was very dirty look’s like no maintenance

Hot tub was not working right and chemicals were dumped in by worker and didn’t say if it was safe or not to go in water. The hot tub was so foamy and the top layer of water had dirt lining the top. The pool was green. I have worked at a public pool and indoor pool for the last 6 years and have never seen a pool so poorly neglected. It may not be the workers fault but possibly poor training? We only chose this hotel for the hot tub or we were going to stay somewhere else for the same price. Other then that the breakfast was good and the cleanliness was good. The indoor pool and hot tub is my only concern here honestly. The elevator smelled a little funky, almost like hot burning smell. It was honestly a good experience just upset about the pool and how the worker never really told us if it was safe. We came back a couple hours later to check on it, to see if we could get it (also the water in the hot tub was colder then the water in the pool). Anyways we checked to see if it was warmed up and walked into the pool area to see that there was cation tape around the hot tub. Again we were never told if it was safe to go in. I knew it wasn’t considering he just had dumped chemicals in but what if I didn’t know that and would have hurt my skin? I don’t know, I’d give this hotel a 3/5 overall but the pool experience a 1/5.

We loved the large gym and pool. Beds were comfortable. Room had everything we needed. We did not make it to breakfast.

This La Quinta did the job. We were in town for a hiking trip, and pretty much only used the hotel for sleeping. The hotel was clean and breakfast was serviceable. Staff members were nice, and the hot tub/pool were clean. The location of this hotel was wonderful, and if you like nachos, definitely walk over to Jalapeños and get some. It’s so good that we went there twice. The only reason that this hotel got 4 stars instead of 5 was the elevator. The elevator smelled like it was on fire every time we rode on it. We looked at the last inspection date, and the elevator is overdue for an inspection. Between that and the smell, we opted to take the stairs. It wasn’t a huge deal for us, but definitely would be concerning if you are traveling with people that have mobility issues.

Hot tub was out of service, seems to be a common theme lately... ok for a night or two but could use a good cleaning.

Room had smears of stuff on walls and hair in bathroom and tub. Got in at almost midnight so slept and left. Staff was friendly.

The place is run down and rinky dink which I personally don’t have a problem with that in a hotel but I do want my room clean. The bathroom was gross I asked them to come reclean it, which they did with no complaints, but then when we went to go to bed my husband found not just a stain but a brown dried on SOMETHING on our sheets. How gross! I’ll admit I’m picky about cleanliness but this was one of the more unhygienic hotels I’ve stayed at in my 30 years.

Plenty for Breakfast. Free parking. Hotel very dirty. Plaster over bed peelng. Room door very difficult to close because latch needs repair. Room and bathroom very dusty and dirty. Overall hotel is in need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Would never recommend staying there.

Our room smelt like a cigarette even though it was non smoking looked at 2 rooms, when I opened the door for the bathroom the door knob fell off. Hair on shampoo dispenser and caked dry shampoo. At 0900 am when breakfast was ended no breakfast items left every food warmer was empty they never refilled it. Staff in morning did not care, not accommodating.

Overall, our stay was okay. We stayed for one night during a cross-country move with our cat. Staying with a pet was easy, we payed a $25 fee. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was generally clean. Breakfast was decent, with warm options including egg patties, sausage links, and waffles. However, there were a few issues that affected our experience. One of the beds had pillowcases with visible stains and dirt, and the towels had brown discoloration from what appeared to be old stains. Additionally, the bathroom door did not close properly.

The hotel looked nice upon driving up outside, check-in was weird as the gal at the desk was very hard to understand and not very friendly. Room looked nice and spacious when we entered the evening of check-in. Bed was comfortable and furnishings were nice. Once we had a chance to look a bit closer, it just was not clean. Our sink did not drain, which made it hard to brush teeth or wash hands. Corners in the bathroom were dirty, as if there was no detailed cleaning in quite some time. As we were leaving the room in the morning it was easier to see just how dirty the hallways, doors were. The ice machine had lots of dirt/deposits on the outside. Made me not so comfortable in using the ice from the machine. The worst was when we actually got down to the breakfast area. It was just straight up dirty. Floors, tables, chairs were dirty, and I don’t mean “it was a busy morning and we haven’t had a chance to wipe them down yet” kind of dirty, they looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The highchairs were just caked with old food. We got some sausage and eggs from the hot bar and realized once we sat down that they were barely lukewarm. Ironically, the refrigerator with milk and yogurt, etc., was warm. It’s unfortunate because it looked like at one point it was probably a really nice hotel, it’s obviously just been severely neglected. Disappointing for a hotel that displays the La Quinta branding.

The towels and sheets were super dirty and gross.

The ceiling was falling down in the bathroom, the toilet was filthy.

1 pillow has blood stain and 1 pillow has molded, black spot all over. The toilet seat and cover were old, seemed like 1 of the screw was missing. Since we travel with children, this was not very pleasant. When we turned on the water, it splash out yellowish colors. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel was older which is fine, but everything felt dated which always calls into question the cleanliness but it seemed to be clean. My biggest issue was the noise. I was put in a room on the back side of the hotel that faced the interstate and exit ramp. It’s the first time I’ve ever had to put a pillow over my head to go to sleep or crank the tv up to hear over the road noise.

Not a good stay. We were on the I-80 side of the building and the noise was incessant. Even the Rain Rain app on two phones wasn’t enough. Then there was someone above us walking loudly before 6AM. Bed was ok and room furnishing too, but the noise trumped everything.

The Wi-Fi was so poor that you couldn't even check your Facebook because it didn't stay stable. Much less read the newspaper or a Kindle book or look at a map. The Wi-Fi was horrid

The hotels seem a little rundown. I had a window that would not close all the way that was facing the interstate therefore, lots of road noise during the evening.

Clean place comfortable beds great staff

The room was very noisy. The window frame was bent and the glass not sealed so we heard the highway noise all night. Also the hot tub walls were dirty and there was a haie clump on the floor next to it. Not worth the couple dollars i saved over the hampton and fairfield.

A decently kept up older building. Some issues with ice makers and vending, and the pool was a bit cold. Out room had an older heating-A/C unit that was rather loud when cycling or shutting off. Biggest issue is the rooms on the north side are so close to the interstate offramp that you hear them all night. Windows are just not up to that kind of noise. I'm sure the other hotels next door have the same issue, but for the money it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

Well , my wife and I was celebrating our 36 year anniversary and decided to spend it with our grandchildren and kids , the rooms are small , you feel confined, the water in the sink wouldn't go down, had to get a plunger cause the toilet back-up, sit in a chair in the dining area cause we had all the family up there to eat together and spend time and the chair was broke and almost fell, the breakfast bar is nasty , kinda ruined our anniversary, pay a little extra and stay at Hampton !!!!!

Bed was very comfy. nice pillows and matress. Slept well.

Rooms very small and told on Expedia’s site says sleeps 6. We are a family of 5. After seeing how cramp the room was with no option for a roll away bed, we asked to switch to a larger room which we were then told that we were in the largest room and none of their rooms sleep more than 4. Super cramped room for the price.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The soap in the shower was empty but otherwise a nice place.

STAFF TRIED TO ENTER OUR ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION AT 11PM

Staff is not attentive. We stayed for 2 nights and the next morning we ate breakfast and left. And come to find out they never came to the room to get fresh towels. Housekeeping never cleaned the room. And when we asked the front desk they said housekeeping left and we asked for some towels that we never received. Really bad customer service. The lobby floors were supper muddy and lobby was not clean. Staff acted like they didn’t care.

We had a great start! The staff was friendly and very accommodating!

We live in Florida, but travel back to our hometown frequently. We always stay at LaQuinta in Peru, Illinois. Riz and the staff here are always pleasant and helpful. They maintain a top shelf place to stay at a reasonable price. Always make our little dog feel welcome as well!

Convenient to shopping and starved rock. Breakfast was good and hot. Comfortable room and nice staff.

WEnt with grandsons to starved rock park. The hotel was convenient. Was right by Interstate access road. A bit of traffic noisw

The lady at the front desk who checked us in was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of items to choose from. The kids had fun at the pool. Our dog was welcome, and we were given a room towards the exit, so it was easy to take the dog for walks. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The only bad thing was the beds. The mattresses in our room were extremely uncomfortable. Every morning, we woke up with lots of pain everywhere. I don't know if it is like that in every room. Also, the A/C unit in our room had no markings on the knobs, so it was tricky to use.

Bathtub barely drained, bathroom door wouldn’t stay open. Breakfast pathetic. Low end facility.

Breakfast was horrible. Ran out of eggs and sausage did not replace. My room was to sleep five it didnt. Ask for roll away bed was willing to pay extra. They didnt have any. Paid extra for early check in still had to wait room was not clean and ready.

I was disappointed in the breakfast. The coffee tasted as if it were dry power Nescafé mixed with hot water. The eggs tasted like they were made from powder. The sausage links were good.

Loved the location! Close to everywhere we needed to be. Room was clean, and shower was immaculate. But the elevator smelled like it was on fire, and breakfast was almost inedible. Bring your own breakfast, or go out to eat!
