Hotel was OK. 2nd floor room, smelled like weed & and really strong cleaning supplies. Beds were ok, if you get cold bring extra blankets. Breakfast was coffee, packaged muffins & fruit bars..not great. No seating area in lobby or outside. Staff very friendly.

The staff checking us in was fabulous however the room was not what we expected. For an extended stay hotel we expected dishes/silverware and there was nothing. The hotel didn't have an ice machine so while it was nice to have a full sized fridge with freezer we had to leave to get ice for our drinks. There were some things in the room that could use fixing/updating.

The elevator was out of service so customers had to carry baggage up the stairs by themself. This was not shared with customers in advance and the hotel charged full rates regardless ; pretty shady !!

CLEAN ROOM, STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY, VERY HELPFUL STAFF! BUT NO ESSENTIALS (PLATES, SILVERWARE, COOKWARE DISH CLOTHES, ETC) FOR KITCHETTE IN ROOM, BREAKFAST WAS NOT AS EXPECTED (GRANOLA BARS & MUFFINS), NO LOUNGE AREA, ROOM PHOTOS PRIOR TO RESERVING SHOWED A LOVE SEAT IN ROOM THAT WAS NOT THERE, VERY FEW BASIC AMENITIES BASED ON COST. Booked a suite with two double beds but the next day got a call from the hotel saying that the double beds were not available but they could offer us queen beds in two separate rooms for no extra charge it worked out perfect the rooms were next to each other if it's a good Outcome and resolution to the situation the area was good lots of free parking for gas and next to another hotel at the Hampton Inn at the other side of the highway there was a large mall and lots of really nice restaurants I would recommend anyone going to Chicago to stay there it's a short drive to downtown And you don't have to pay all those city taxes and expensive parking like in the hotels in the downtown area the staff were really friendly and had a good sense of humor which is important nowadays

There was dog poop on the red bricks right near the entrance.. The elavator was filthy. The place smelled bad. There was.no iron in the room. Stayed 1 night as i checked out I asked why there was not an iron in the room. I was told i needed to call and they would have brought me 1. What no iron board. These should be standard things.

The hotel was clean, so was the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I booked the room I didn’t realized it was a fully furnished room with a regular sized fridge and a little electric stove. Loved it

They have bed bugs and because I need the hotel in relation to my grandchild's school I've reluctantly had to book additional nights. And Hotels.com not the hotel has done A THING as of yet, to compensate me for the inconveniences and uncomfortable and unpleasant stay! I recommend they shut down entirely and do a thorough cleaning and sanitizing of this place! DO NOT BOOK!

Horrible conditions- floor was filthy. Smell was nasty- cleaner smell overpowering. People sitting on the curbs- smoking near the doors- propping open the doors- because the keys don’t work. Air conditioning worked but there was still moisture in the room which made it I uncomfortable. Sheets were like burlap. The best were the two roaches that paid a visit to us this morning. One crawled in under the door from the hallway. At that point I said we were out of there. I booked for one night- did not look at the reviews- my big mistake. Immigrant housing facility- the most awful hotel experience.

This is an old dingy and smelly facility. It’s the fact the room was filthy- floors were sticky and dusty. All glass surfaces had dusty film on them. The windows were so dirty it was hard to see out. I only stay one night because I arrived late and there was nothing available around the area.

Our room was a bit worn around the edges. More seriously, the hot water never got hotter than lukewarm. Also the HVAC unit in the window emitted a bad smell in heat mode. On the plus side, the staff was nice and the beds comfortable. The breakfast consisted of granola bars only. Serviceable, but I wouldn't stay again.

My only complaint would be that the advertisement of full kitchen accessories, pots, pans knives ,forks, spoons, etc. was completely false as there were none at all. Fortunately we did not need them.

Here are several areas where improvement is needed: 1. The continental breakfast options should be enhanced. 2. Room service, including cleaning at least once during a four-day stay, is essential. 3. The hallways shouldn’t have any unpleasant odors, like garbage. 4. It’s unreasonable to ask guests to return used towels just to receive new ones. 5. Charging extra for Wi-Fi is absurd; this is the only place I’ve encountered that does this for high-speed internet. 6. A curfew is in place, which means the front desk is unavailable after midnight, leaving no one to address guest inquiries. 7. Honestly, it’s hard to understand how this establishment is still in business. 8. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing.

This last stay makes me question using Hotels.com for booking in the future. This place was dirty. No Wi-Fi unless you paid an extr fee. The staff was incoherent. I will never stay at this hotel again.

This was a nice place, but the hot water at the hottest was tepid, and the toilet clogged. I had to call for a plunger at 1 a.m. The air conditioner seemed to be fritzy, but we got that fixed. It was a little nerve-wracking at first. Oh, yes, and the TV remote didn't work well. BUT overall it was a spacious room, and that space was super-nice for a multi-night stay. The staff was very helpful.

Sounds of hotel doors closing sounded like slamming all night long. Little bit of a funny smell in the room. Very difficult to get any moderate temperature in the shower. I eventually settled for back and forth between scalding and room temperature.

The staff was horrible. Only one person on staff during rush hour. Phones not being answered. Customers standing at the front desk for over 15 minutes waiting for one person to come down stairs. Several rooms did not have properly working heaters. For a non smoking hotel, the first floor reeked of marijuana. .

First off when I arrived, it took 10min to get inside the lobby. They claimed they were doing a shift change. I get to my room, there’s no remote for the tv. I call the front desk for 30min straight no answer. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

The building feels outdated and a bit worn out, and the common areas could definitely use a thorough cleaning. The bigger issue seems to be the lack of attention to service. When I arrived around 7:00pm, the staff member on duty was visibly annoyed and gave the group ahead of me a hard time during check-in. The next morning, a different front desk employee seemed just as irritated. With a line of three people waiting, she was more focused on chatting about coffee than assisting the guests. We arrived just after midnight. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant. Even though the facilities are very basic, they are clean. That is what matters the most to me. Also, there was no dining room. They offered coffee and cookies for a breakfast snack. If that is important to you, then you should go elsewhere. But, we received a very pleasant welcome and a comfy bed.

Spend the extra $25/night and stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites next door. The ESA American feels cheap, rooms are barely passable. zero common area, have to ask for shampoo (!), "complimentary breakfast" is stale plastic wrapped blueberry muffins and instant oatmeal. Felt vaguely unsafe.
