The elevators were out of service, still. The door to our room was hard to shut. We were on the 2nd floor and our room was right next to the stairs, which sucks when the elevators are down. The bathroom door had a hole in it. It was pretty clean though, and the front desk staff was nice.

This is my second time in this hotel! First time I stayed the elevator was broke. They gave me a room in the second floor so i needed to use the stairs! Two weeks after stayed there again and the elevator were in the same situation! And this time I was on the third floor!!!! Im not coming back! Don't recommend this hotel!

The hotel room was good and clean. The issues I encountered: on Saturday, the elevator was not working for a good part of the afternoon into evening. When checking out at the front desk, the associate at the time was on their phone, but did pause their call when I walked up. I asked for a receipt showing a zero balance (that I paid the balance.) This is a normal ask for those who travel for business. The person insisted that Hotels.com would be giving me that (they have never done this). I politely informed her of such, and iterated I have received this every time I have stayed at that exact same Microtel location. While looking up my stay data, she continued to state that she wasn't sure what I would want since it wouldn't have a balance. I informed her this was the point. She eventually appeared to understand; however, my issue is the unnecessary lip I received from this staff member for something that isn't really her business why I want it, it's their job to provide it when asked. For these reasons, I knock two stars off the visit rating. Don't argue with guests asking for normal services.

Parking was easy and area clean and brightly lit. Service counter was great and cheerful. Checkin was quick and efficient and even booked us for our return trip quickly. She had information for us in direction and food choices. Room was nicely appointed but tv channel choices were odd. Bed was amazing and so was the rest we got for the completion of our trip. Thank you!

I paid up front. I got here and she informed me the elevator doesn't work, I'm a disabled Veteran, I'm on the 4th floor. Had to carry my stuff up 4 flights of stairs. NOT GOOD! I'LL NEVER PAY BEFORE ARRIVING, ANYMORE!

Check in was very easy and it was quiet at night. Room was cold, but still humid and smelt mildewy, as did the bedsheets. Might just be because of Louisiana humidity. Shower was very slippery. Comfortable bed, quiet, clean.

Checked in and got into the first room, which had a bad smell. Was moved to another room and one of the beds had hair on it and another had a stain on the sheet. We were surprised because the hotel had pretty good reviews, but we ended up moving to a different hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my grandsons and had a very disappointing experience. When we went into the bathroom, we found a roach — definitely not something you expect or want to see in any hotel room, especially when traveling with a children. When I reported it to the front desk, the clerk brushed it off and said they were “just water bugs,” as if that made the situation acceptable. Whether roach or “water bug,” it was still an insect crawling in the bathroom, and the dismissive attitude from staff made the situation even worse. Cleanliness and customer service are basic expectations, and unfortunately, this hotel failed on both. I will not be staying here again and cannot recommend it to others.

I frequently stay at this location when traveling for appointments and have generally experienced few issues during my visits. However, during my most recent stay, I was unable to complete my schoolwork due to extremely slow and unreliable Wi-Fi. This was a significant inconvenience and left me quite disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out was nice and easy. I didn't know about the train tracks nearby when I booked and was surprised how close it sounded. If hearing a train horn and the sound of it passing by would annoy you then I wouldn't stay here. If trian noises don't bother you, this hotel is good value for money.

Staff was friendly and the shower was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. The nozzle was high, which is great for those of us who are tall, and the pressure and temperature of the water were perfect. The extra security lock on our door (room 331) was missing due to being broken. There was no tray under the coffee cups for us to use to carry breakfast back to the room. The breakfast was very basic (waffles, packaged donuts, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and whole fruit). The hallways were smelly, a mixture of stale marijuana and mildew. The beds were ok and the room was clean.

The folks at the front desk were fabulous! So kind and helpful. They made check-in and check-out a total breeze. The hotel itself is average. The lobby area is fine, but once you get into the hallways, it feels very run down. The room itself had definitely been upgraded, but the bathroom door hadn't been replaced and was all marked up. There are stark contrasts to the areas they've upgraded versus areas they haven't. The beds were great - super soft. The walls are paper thin. You can almost hear the people in the room next to you breathing. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're a light sleeper. We could hear people walking across the floor in the room above us throughout our entire stay. We got up at 3am to head out on our cross country drive at 4am and - if they are light sleepers - I have no doubt we woke up the people on either side of us, below us, and perhaps across the hall from us and above us. If you're a deep sleeper and aren't bothered by some shabbiness in the hotel, this is probably a great place for you! If you're a light sleeper, you likely won't sleep well here.

The hotel was nice and clean. The rating is for the bed and pillows. if I can’t sleep all night it’s not gonna be a good rating. The mattress was like a rock and the pillows flat and clumped horrible. How can you even give people pillows like that ?

Called about 10 times between 2:30pm and shortly after 3pm and couldn't reach the front desk. When someone finally answered the phone (after 4pm) whoever helped me with shortening my stay was helpful & nice.

At check-in, the staff was unprofessional. The gentleman assisting me seemed new and in training, while the female staff member was rude to both a guest and her colleague. Her attitude and tone were inappropriate, especially when explaining paperwork. The room had multiple issues: unsecured furniture, a lack of outlets, excessive dust, and a dried substance resembling snot on the wall. Additionally, the bed was smaller than expected, measuring as a Full XL instead of the booked Queen. At checkout, staff mishandled the refund process. The female employee was defensive and argumentative about the bed size and incorrectly insisted that the third-party booking service was responsible for the refund. After failed attempts to reach Hotels.com, she finally called them and was informed that the property was responsible. She continued to argue before calling a manager, who immediately processed the refund and addressed my concerns professionally. After previously staying at least 5-6 other times in the past year we have never been asked to put any deposit whatsoever but only to add a debit card on file ..upon checking in the female attendant asked if we were out of towners or locals witch i said we were local and bcuz of that were told we would have to put up a $100 deposit witch i was unhappy about cuz we have never had to put a deposit before any othet time we stayed there & bein told we would get it back instantly upon checkout witch was not true but iwas 4 days later & i was very unhappy about…

When I got there I had two rooms I thought I only booked one room so I went ahead and took it The manager told me that's what I get for booking though a third party ... That was not nice ... The check out no one at the deck for hours left the key at the desk no receipt will not go back ...no English with the staff I would like to know if I was charged for two rooms?

Chosen for low price. Older property but very clean. Only complaints: bed too high and too hard, and bath tub slippery. And those rock columns at the entrance are inconvenient. Staff was efficient, cheerful, and friendly. We will continue to stay here when we are in the area.

Well it is bare minimums. It was cheaper then other options which is fine for a quick overnight but the pillows sucked i can make pancakes fluffier. Couldnt find outlets by bed. The bed itself was ok. Room was clean and smelled ok. But loose doors and cosmetics and such were lacking so to be honest it should have been cheaper still. Minimum breakfast. I dont mind a small hot

What I didn’t like about this hotel was that elevator wasn’t working we had to carry our luggage up to the 4th floor. Then it advertises “breakfast included” waffle machine didn’t work it was basically coffe milk and donuts. Then the train passes next to the hotels parking lot you can feel the room moving. Front desk are not very welcoming.

There is a train that runs along the parking lot. Be prepared if that bothers you. Also, very disappointing to not offer any bread/toast, bagels of any sort for breakfast. Sweets, cereal, waffles are your inly choices.

Room smelled musty. Halls very warm. Elevator very slow. Beds hard. Walls and ceiling no insulation. Sounded like a bowling alley above us. Breakfast had no hot water for oatmeal. Every place that said water was broke. The waffle maker needs to be thrown out and replaced with one that doesn't stick. Juice machine was broke. Nothing hot for breakfast. Will not be back.
