Breakfast was very good! Plenty of choices-could not go wrong. Parking was awkward. Entrance signage made it difficult to find. Very clean. Bed was comfy. Cleaning staff was even cleaning and polishing the inside of the elevator. Pleasant staff all around. Easy check-in. A chat to see how things were by Manager was nice at breakfast.

Upon arriving to our room, we found bed bugs in our bed. Staff was good about getting us into a new room however I was told by two separate people, that a manager would call me to make things right and several days went by with no call from management. I then reached out through Expedia to voice my frustration and it wasn’t until then that I got credited for one of my nights stays. I’m still extremely frustrated however because to this day, almost two months later, I still was never contacted by management!

Shower curtain was dirty so didn't use shower, blinds were broken and wouldn't go up/down. People in the room next to us had children yelling at 4am. Was not a comfortable stay. When checking out, staff did not care.

I left not even 1 hour after checking into the property. We were told the internet was down so we couldnt get room keys. The room was absolutely disgusting, stains on the sheets, flickering lights, and long HAIR on shower curtain. Horrible horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

The room is perfectly serviceable, comfortable, and convenient. The hotel is just 20 minutes from Logan, assuming no traffic. However, the room we had had a connecting door to the next room (actually on both sides), and the people on one side were loud and rowdy, with the noise coming through the door. The connecting doors need to be better sound-proofed. Also, the hotel is on a very busy road, and the street noise was disturbing until late in the night.

It was a nice hotel, nice and clean. The only issue we had was the wind sound through the window. It sounded like a hurricane the whole time. The window seal needs fixing. Other than that it was a real nice hotel stay.

The one BIG issue was that this hotel is on Route 1, and the soundproofing on the room was awful. Every large truck could be heard over the constant hum of the traffic. I had a billing issue and had spoken to the General Manager, Hector. He fixed it right away, and even used the print out I had brought from the original booking. Great service~ kind, staff friendly and coffee hot! TI would recommend this hotel highly~

The lady at check-in had that special touch. She made us feel welcome during our 2 day stay. Friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms were great, Parking good. Breakfast perfect for me….almonds, raisins, sugar and nutmeg for on my cereals… will definitely come back here.

Check in took a very long time and the place was in need of an update (for example, chrome in the bathroom was rusted), but the most important things were good. Quiet room, comfortable bed, and convenient location. Plus, the breakfast was well-stocked.

The Holiday Inn in Saugus, MA was a pleasant surprise. It is right on route 1 which is quite busy, yet it was quiet, well kept and close the places we needed to be. The dining area was clean and the breakfast food was typical, well stocked and replenished quickly. We were very impressed with the evening desk, our 1st night the tv was broken, John & Chris were able to secure us a new room with working tv, excellent costumer service.

DO NOT GO HERE. UNSAFE environment and staff has no regard for occupants safety. Fire alarm got set off at 3am, which wasn’t the issue. Once the fire alarm went off and we (me, a friend, and a child) rushed out the nearest staircase that took us to the parking lot. There is only one way in and out of the lot for the hotel so we were in the parking lot which is in the back of the building. There was not a single staff member in sight. Nobody was there to tell us what was going on and when it was safe to return to our rooms or to check that the people returning to the hotel belonged. When we returned inside after the fire fighters left a man was waiting for us to open the side door with our keycard. He followed us upstairs (again we had a child) and we couldn’t return to our room right away because we were scared he would try and follow us in. Couldn’t even go back to sleep because we were so scared someone was going to try and come in but it was now 4 am and we had nowhere else to go. Hotel staff brushed off our safety complaints and did not seem to take it seriously at all.

We had the BEST experience! The front desk customer service representatives were excellent. Johnathan went above and beyond to make sure our first time in the Boston area was welcoming. He offered us maps and brochures for our day trip to Salem which came in handy! He always asked us about our plans and it was like having a local friend we could ask advice or get recommendations. Definitely would recommend staying here. Accommodations were clean every day. Good selection for a quick breakfast bite and convenient location for what we needed.

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip & it was a pretty terrible experience. The room was lacking in cleanliness (hair in the shower & nightstands needed to be wiped down). Both nights there were kids running through the hallways late at night and people loudly sitting in the main dining area after midnight. The first night I tried calling the front desk and no one answered, so I walked down. There was one person working (he said) and when I asked about the kids running around and all of the loud partying so late (at this point is was 12:30 a.m.) I was told that people in the hotel can do whatever they want. Okay, noted. I asked about a manager's contact info since he said he was the only person working and he didn't give it to me and just said "they will be here in the morning"--he was still the only person working when I left for the day. The second night was more of the exact same. It's clear this hotel doesn't care about the quality of sleep their guests get, or about having any sort of standards, and I will never stay again.

It was a great hotel to stay at. About 15 minutes (drive) from the train so we needed a car however we planned to have one which is why we chose this hotel. The area is perfect for restaurants and shopping and even being on the highway its easy to get to everything.

Hotel was nice. Bed was comfortable. Didn't use pool, as it was raining. Hotel on Rt #1 (three lane Rd traveling 50mph). Can't see hotel or hotel sign until you are past driveway. Truly a pain finding. If it was dark it would have been impossible

We travelled to run the Boston Marathon and made the booking based on having stayed with IHG in other countries and the breakfast. Prior to flying out, I queried availability of breakfast for the early start on race day. We were told it would be available and being eager to plan ahead, when we checked in I queried this in person and was told by various staff that it would be available for us on race day. However, coming down on the morning, the duty staff had no idea about it and worse still, were completely indifferent to why the lack of breakfast on that morning / the information we’d been given previously would now be an issue for us. We did speak to other staff the next day, who were apologetic. However, this left a real mark on what otherwise was a great Boston experience. It added a level of anxiety on the morning that we could have done without.

The reason i gave 4 stars is breakfast. When we arrived to dining arrea we had no place to sit. They had so many people. They actually had a lot more guests in the breakfast area than available seats. We had to stand up to eat.

The staff are professional and friendly. There is ample parking and various choices for food. Walmart is located directly across the street. The breakfast was good and the hot beverage station was always stocked. I would visit this property again.
