The room was not very clean or inviting. The bathroom shower curtain is unraveling. The breakfast was late to open, did not have decaf coffee and was not very good and only warm. The tables and chairs were dirty and falling apart. The money charges for the room was not worth it at all. The only good thing was that it was close to the Hardrock Cafe and a couple of good restaurants

If you want to stay in the Inner Harbor, the location is great, however that's the only thing that is great about this hotel. The carpet, a seemingly 1980s dark gray shag style carpet, was matted and didn't feel clean. I felt like I couldn't stand barefoot on it without totally skeeving myself out. The room had a musty, musky, mildewy smell that was cloying. The towels were old, overwashed and hard (not to mention small) and felt like drying myself with sandpaper. I've never experienced towels that rough before! The doors have no soft close so every time someone closed a door it banged loudly. On my last night I was awakened by an alarm at 6:00 am. It took me a while to figure out that it was coming from the clock on the other bedside table, which I had never touched. I still have no idea why it went off but I never got back to sleep. There are no vending machines and no sodas or snacks available. It's not that easy to find convenience stores in the Inner Harbor and the desk staff had no idea where to send me. (I found a CVS not too far away the next day.) Although the location is very nice, I will never stay at Pier 5 again.

The hotel lobby and elevators were very hot, the room was ok, huge, very oddly shaped, the outlet closer to the bed wasn't working (anything you plug into it would fall), and some mold on the ceiling, other than that, everything else in the room was good and the view from the balcony was amazing. In the bathroom, the bathtub drain was clogged, but other than that it was big and clean. The room service was great and the staff at the reception was very helpful as well. The thing that I was absolutely disappointed was breakfast. We purchased the breakfast package and while I would say they put a lot of effort on the hot breakfast option, the continental breakfast options were poor to none. No yogurt, no bagels (I guess they ran out in the first 30 minutes the 2 days we stayed), 2 old croissants that were hard as a rock on day one (none on day 2). My wife asked for yogurt for our kids, she received no answer. Out of the 6 tea bag selection, only 2 remained, out of the 3 jars with juice, you'd only see cranberry (no apple, no orange), also not a single fruit available. If you just want hot breakfast you'll be good, but if you want something lighter or the continental choice advertised, save your money and go buy breakfast somewhere else.

Clean, great location. Staff very polite and helpful. The property itself is a bit older, the interior of hotel could use an update. The balcony option was worth it, great view of marina.
