The Rockville Hotel, a Ramada by Wyndham

The elevator doesn’t work properly. The staff is great.

The hotel advertised a pool and I booked it because it has a pool. I was told upon checking that the pool was not opened yet.so there is no pool at this location

The only good thing was being able to check in early. Given room on 3rd floor but the elevator was out of service. Got another room on ground floor. Only had one towel in bathroom. No food service.

First of all- loved this hotel option for a lacrosse tournament! It is close to everything, pretty when you walk in (made me smile :),easy to check in. I really enjoyed this hotel for its purpose! The pool was green and closed - BOO! The room was a standard hotel room. It definitely could have been cleaner and is in need of updating. The carpet in the room is disguising, nookies and crannies- ewww, the back of the freezer has ice frozen for years (but kept everything cold), I used my own blanket and pillow. Even with these negatives, I would definitely stay again. We were basically there to sleep. For the price, it’s perfect for us!

A Bar is advertised and there isn’t one. I will book different next time in town

Hotel is rundown and looks dated and dirty. understaffed. No towels, limited blankets. very old building. No amenities. No restaurant, no bar. Website is wrong.

Although this hotel is several decades older than the Sleep Inn next door. The Ramada by Wyndham in my opinion is the better choice. I have stayed at both several days at a time. The lower rating. This is likely because it use to be the Radisson. Once Wyndham it became the Ramada. The Hotel seems to have upgraded. The business center has both a PC and Mac. The coffee machine has touch screen that lets you pick your brew. The gym is 24 hours (it seemed) with modern equipment. This hotel might be older by there is good separation between rooms, blazing fast internet (for those who remote play PS5 or Xbox Series X) I never had a latency issue. The TV is new and big enough to have a better expirence with the actual console. The room also had a modern refrigerator. The Ramada and Hotels.com app must be in sync. Because I renewed my stay 3 or 4 times in my 16 days. House keeping seemed to be aware as I didn't get that annoying knock you get at the Sleep Inn and Comfort Inn. The Sleep Inn is next door. The Comfort Inn isn't far away on Shady Grove Road. Both of those not aware of multiple day stays. I would get a knock after 11 and have to remind the housekeeping that I was booked for multiple days. Btw the house keeping at Ramada is among the best. The Comfort Inn and Sleep Inn are a similar experience. If you can't get a room at the Ramada. My second choice would be the Sleep Inn. The Comfort Inn isn't worth the extra. Plus the Ramada and Sleep in share a pool and a gym.

Outdated site could use a renovation. Overall has potential to be great banquet hall. Lobby bar has been closed since covid and no food on site besides basic snacks sold in store. Otherwise average across the board good for a one night or two stay, I was there for business trip in the area.

Poor breakfast. Poor selection, little fruit. Broken elevator, nearly got stuck in the elevator. Employee smokes cannabis, smell in stairwell, used stairwell as both elevators have issues. Door locks break down, was not the only one to complain. One colleague locked out of his room for the night, slept in the exercise area. Request for housekeeping went unheeded. Great front desk staff. Great venue for conventions.

Stuff was rude, pool wasn’t open the hall time we stayed there

Check in was smooth. Unfortunately, there were multiple rats that we saw outside, garbage overflowing, landscape was completely overgrown, elevators hardly functional, no available bath towels, uncomfortable beds and cheap bed linen. It has such potential for being a nice place but is very neglected.

Soooo dirty, mold all over , rust and water leaching out from the toilet bottom…. Dust everywhere…. Hair from other previous guests

The bed was not clean. There are bed bugs as these are very unacceptable

3 words Bed Bugs and Roaches!! I stayed at this location 5 weeks in a row, 2 nights at a time and was getting bit up, but couldn’t find any reason for it until July 22nd when I finally found proof of the bed bugs. When the front desk was informed, they gave me an attidute like i did something wrong. They offered a different room at 1in the morning, but I was so freaked out I decided to stay on the lobby until my ride to work at 7am. This is when I saw the roaches. The guy at the desk(manager) just chuckled and acted like it was no big deal. Luckily due to the nature of my work, the bag that I carry when on location stays in my car in the summer heat, so I didn’t take anything home with me. Hotels.com reached out to them about a refund, which they refused after the manager told me he was issuing it and then they are now dodging my calls and telling me to “call back when he’s working” but he’s always not working.

Staff was very friendly. Condition of hotel was disgusting. We had cockroaches on the wall of our room, doors and walls were so dirty. It was just icky. Also, the $9.99 breakfast was terrible. We had better FREE breakfasts at the other hotels on our trip. NOT worth the money. We will not be back.

Not enough towels, black mold behind curtains , stains on couch and floor, over grown weeds around pool

Exterior and common areas are nice. East to get to and park. Room is dated but that’s not really the problem. It was filthy. The other reviews about room cleanliness are true. I’d recommend finding another option if you can. This is fine as a last resort.

Everything was good until my son woke up covered in bed bug bites. And no offer to give any money back. I go to see my son constantly for 7 years now. Unacceptable. Remove Ramada inn from here at 3 research ct Maryland

There were roaches and the room was dirty. Sheets were stained. It was horrible.

My stay with the Rockville hotel was a big disappointment. The hallway was smelling cigarette and when we entered our room the first thing we saw was 3 roaches on the wall next to the coffee maker. After killing those 3 . I went to the bathroom another one crawling the tub. Then one on my kid’s bedside.After my 9 years son wrapped his head and make sure that none enter his ears at night. I have taken picture as a proof. The bed sheets had a funny smell. I went there just for 1 night due to lost of power on Saturday 07/28/2023. I don’t think that I will go back to that hotel or any other hotels own by Ramada Wyndham!!!! So terrible night. One side of the bathroom door also damaged I believe is due to the table behind it … not big deal but the roaches were. My kids by seing those were so worried and prayed to not have bed bugs.

I stayed multiple days and the room very comfortable with TV that can play latest game consoles at high quality. The Internet is faster than the Hotel next door to this building. I was able to remote play my PS5 without any latency lag.

The hotel was clean. The air conditioner in our room completely broken.

Rooms are large compared to other hotels.

The first room smelled of wet dog, the next room no smell but lightbulds were missing hair on bathroom floor and the hotel clerk seemed unbothered. Did I mention a big roach on the bathroom wall upon getting ready for checkout. Rather disappointing.

My room was LARGE! Bed was comfortable. Shower had nice pressure and hot water. That's all I needed.

I appreciated the location close to major sources of travel and had ample front door parking. The room was okay. It took a long time for hot water to reach the room for bathing or shaving. The television was without any source of information to allow the guests to know how to operate for the greatest enjoyment.

Beautiful lobby, but the walls are thin enough that you can hear excess noise next door, and the halls and outside area all smell like cigarette smoke. Mattresses were OK, just a little uncomfy. Acceptable stay for people visiting for work or personal friends in Rockville area though.

The rooms are dated

The property is dated, older, but not run down by any means. It was recently changed from being a Radisson property. The walls where thin, I got woke up a few times by the talking and TV in the next room and there are no phones in the room to call the front desk for help. The towels were all paper thin. Overall not too bad, the beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure.

I booked a one night stay at this hotel. The check in process was pretty smooth. After receiving my key, I headed up to the second floor. Unfortunately, my key would not work. I tried it multiple times and still the same result. I was quite annoyed because I had been driving for a while and really needed to use the restroom. I had to return to the front desk. The front desk attendant gave me a new set of keys. Once again, I trekked to the second floor. Thankfully, the keys worked and I headed straight to the bathroom. After relieving myself, I tried to flush the toilet only to realize it wasn’t working. I called the front desk and was placed on hold. After being on hold for at least 3 minutes, I hung up and went back to the front desk to report the issue. A different attendant was at the front desk. After explaining the situation to him he stated that he would call someone to look at it. I had an appointment and needed to leave so I asked him how soon the person would get there. His response was that he didn’t know and he’d have to call the person first to see when they were available. At this point, I requested a new room and he claimed he couldn’t assign me a new room until someone checked the toilet and it was resolved. I explained to him that I had to leave and asked if he could assure me that when I returned the toilet would be fixed or I’d be assigned a new room. He stated that he couldn’t make a decision until they examined the bathroom. I proceeded to leave.

Front desk staff are superb!

Desk staff friendly but not sure they were comfortable in their job.

Staff was rude during check in. They ran out of extra towels and shampoo. We were charged three different times on top of what we paid through Expedia. Any time I called about the additional charges I was hung up on or told the manager would call me back, which never happened. Will never recommend or stay there again.

It was what I expected for a cheap Ramada in a business park. I appreciated free on site parking. However when I checked in, I was given a key for a room that had someone in it. I felt horrible that I walked into someones room while they were asleep in bed. The front desk attendant didn't apologize or seem to care at all, she just gave me a new key to a different room.

The lady at the front desk was on her cell phone during our check in, when we came down to ask for more towels (our phone didn't work in the room) and every time we came and went from the hotel. The worse was she never ended her phone calls when helping us she just moved the phone away from her ear to talk to us. The hotel itself was clean, rooms were decent and location in city nice.

The staff here are always professional, helpful and friendly.

Desk staff and a guest were loudly arguing, delaying my check-in.

Fast check-in. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Convenient to the Rio Washingtonian Center with great shopping and restaurants.

Rockville Hotel is a great location for us to visit our grandchildren in Darnestown. It was clean and quiet with easy parking.

Close to my meeting place in Potomac. This was a business trip and no much time to explore but the area seems very upscale and the location is with easy access to I270

Plenty of parking, was worried at first but the back parking was so large and well lit

Convenient location. I was able to walk to the bus stop and connect with the subway train. Very clean and friendly staff. I did not have a need for parking, but they have a large parking area.

It is a nice hotel property that is starting to show its age. It is also a conference center. Their restaurant has not reopened since the pandemic. There is no breakfast offered. The person at front desk was extremely helpful.

Service was excellent! They didn't have a microwave, and the restroom didn't have a working fan to turn on after showers; you had to open the doors immediately. breakfast choices were limited. The bathtub appeared to need replacement due to staining from years of use.

Visited for a quick business trip. The property is clean, internet is fast, and breakfast was excellent...

Staff was very efficient; the check-in process was fast. The room was clean and large. Tried the breakfast and they had eggs cooked to order. I will choose this hotel again.
