Extended Stay America Suites - Detroit - Dearborn

The hallway had a horrible smell the entire stay. There wasn’t so much as even a glass in my room. No cups, no silverware, no pots, no dishes. Went down the next morning for breakfast and it was cold coffee and muffins

Old property with small room. It includes a kitchen, which is very tight and old appliances. No breakfast available, just grab and go snacks/coffee.

If you think it's bed and breakfast then it's not. It's just bed and coffee with few snacks that's grab and go!

It's a bit run down and the parking lot needs work. The staff was friendly and efficient. It was adequate for our needs.

The elevators was out of order so I ask the guy at the front desks are they going to compensate us due to the elevators being down and he said you don’t have to stay here after swiping my credit card. So I refuse to stay due to the attitude that the man at the front Desk had, due to booking the hotel online I put my debit card on file to hold the room. Yesterday my debit card was being charged as well for $104 how was that when I canceled the reservation and left the hotel so my credit card got swipe for $104 but also tried to charge my debit card for $104 the next day good thing I had my card turn off. The guy at the front desks attitude was terrible I will not give this hotel a another try and I’m still waiting on my $104 to be return back back on my credit card….

The elevator didn't work at all during my stay on the 4th floor room. Upon check in, the initial keys didn't work, so I had cart my luggage up and done the 4 flights twice. The says was very courteous and apologetic though. :-)

It was the most filthiest place I've ever stayed. The side door would not work. I literally had to wipe down the room. There was grease all over the kitchen area. My feet stuck to the floor. Stuff all over door handles, carpet was never vacuumed before. Couldn't even see out the windows They were so filmed over! If I wouldn't of lost $100 I would have left...but . I had already paid and I had no other place to go at the time. Very unimpressed!!!

I didn't like the coffee and muffins for breakfast the money spent the breakfast selection can be a little better.

Our stay was nice for the 2 nights we were there. We had a king size bed which was comfortable everything was nice and clean…our room was very roomie…the kitchen appliances were very clean only thing, they didn’t supply any type of dishes or pots & pans… they don’t have an ice machine which is inconvenient as so not having and cups etc… The only problem I had about the stay was the family above our room they had kids… they ran back and forth, & jumping noises all day and night non-stop … which made it hard for us to sleep…other than that I would recommend this site and stay there again if need be

The Kitchen didn't have any utensils. Not even a cup. Checked with the front desk and they told that they ran out of them! Very old property with broken windows and broken heater!

Bathroom wasnt clean. Toilet seat was dirty and loose, leaking faucet , carpet detached from baseboard, curtain that cover closet had white stains. Told clerk Abel he said " No Maintenance until Monday, and why cant you put tissue on the seat.

The shelves in the closet in the room were broken. Ring of black under the sink lid. Looking in the mirror you could see it being all black in the bathroom sink under the front lip.

Dirty - smell like smoke and marihuana The worst hotel I been in my live

We chose this hotel for the location but it was so gross and dirty that we ended up leaving and booking a room somewhere else. The whole floor smelled like weed as soon as we stepped off the elevator. The room itself looked like it hadn’t been cleaned ever. There was long black hair in the bed and a couple bugs. The refrigerator was caked in filth. It was a completely uninhabitable room.

Not the cleanest place to stay, dead bedbugs and live spiders found throughout room. Trash under bed.

Looks decent online, gross in real life - holes in the curtains, fan incredibly loud in the bathroom, smelled of cigarettes (in a nonsmoking room). However, no bed bugs and the water ran - those are the only good parts.

Bad dirty place

I’m aware that my resources were less than stellar. But I did expect a basic modicum of cleanliness. At $102 I should not have had to suffer the hell I experienced. Extended Stay America is a fairly reputable hotel chain. I had the option of 3 rooms which were all unsatisfactory. They all contained vermin droppings, which was indicative of a pest problem. They were not swept properly, and the surfaces were unclean. I retrieved a broom and dustpan from the front office and showed the desk agent pictures of the droppings I’d found. He assured me there were no mice on the premises. I knew better, but my circumstances at the time afforded me no other options. At best I was able to get about two hours of sleep. I heard continuous scratching sounds and something was more than likely living in the bed. Needless to say, my anxiety was through the roof. So by the time I finally acquired the ability to fall asleep, I surpassed the 11 a.m. check out time. I take full responsibility for my tardiness. Although the accommodations were unacceptable, Extended Stay is operating a business. I’m boiling mad at the agent who approached my room. She spoke to me in a manner of which I have never experienced. The tone of her voice. How she rolled her neck as she slowly drew out her words as if I was of limited intelligence. She spoke to me like I was pure garbage and informed that Dearborn Police would be there to escort me out at 12pm. NO ONE SHOULD EVER RENT A ROOM AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT ETERNALLY

This hotel has a really funny smell the carpet and the rooms are stained the first room I received was full of dirty towels and sheets so I requested another one and the next one smelled like fish and so did the hallways I never will return here

Room smelled like smoke for a non smoking room. Tile was mildewed in the bath. Kids ran all night til 6 when the police escorted them out. Zero respect.

The toilet in my room was clogged, but it took two days for support to arrive. During that time, I had to use the toilet at a nearby shopping center. Two days later, on the morning of the final day, the toilet was clogged again. I felt a little cold when I used the shower because the water flow was weak. This was probably due to the low water pressure.

The bed was comfy but the room on general was not up to par. I tried to work and the WiFi wasn’t working and the chair was beyond stained up

Loud Music next door at 2:00am and had to call down to the lobby to ask them to get the noise to stop.

It was ok. The keys wouldn't stay working because the part on the door was defective so that was an inconvenience, everytime I went upstairs had to cone back down to get a different key

A/C ,Refrigerator etc ..are ancinet and loud .

The hotel itself is ran down! The only thing that made it worth our money was the fact that the front desk lady Crystal was VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY! The rooms and appliances are outdated, breakfast is set up on one little stand so don’t expect much, the paint is worn out as is the floors. For the price it’s not worth it even with the kitchenette

Check in was quick and the room was fine to spend the night. I would stay there again, overnight. But it was just generally beat up. Couldn't hang a used towel in the bathroom because the shelf was broken, Refrigerator worked, but visually had been repaired many, many times. Remote for the tv had no back and was taped together. General dirt, smears, and smudges everywhere, including the elevators.

This is a nonsmoking property, yet I was hit by a cloud of smoke when I opened the door to my room. The door also had something spilled all over it and there was toilet paper lying throughout the hallway. I immediately requested a different room. The staff was nice and granted my request. However, the second I was given had a broken window that did not close while it was 20 degrees outside. I cranked the heat and tried to bare with it. However, I ended up checking out 2 hours later and going somewhere else. I will NEVER. Book this place again.

The staff was friendly and the rooms clean. It’s not really by anything except for more office buildings. During the stay seemed like there were multiple parties happening. Guests in several rooms playing loud music and there were groups of people playing music in the parking lot until 2am.

Booked through hotels.com arrived they were overbooked I was told to leave. Only hotel in area available was $250! I had no choice but to stay at the more expensive hotel. Very unhappy!

I booked the "hotel" for 6 nights. It was an excellent choice for the price. Roomy, fully equipped kitchen, friendly helpful front desk, a 15 minute drive to downtown Detroit, close to all shopping and good wifi. What more could you ask for?

Upon arrival Amanda at the front desk greeted and welcomed me and checked me in speedily. I had trouble opening the door to my room (i was turning the handle the wrong way) and when I informed her she came up immediately and showed me how to turn the handle and she maintained a smile and a friendly demeanor the whole time. Amanda has excellent customer service skills. She is an asset to your business!

There was no room for me. I was given a key to a room which already had an occupant. Police had been called to the parking lot for vandalism to a parked car. A terrible property. I will never stay at an Extended Stay.

Check in was awful. Waited at the front desk for 10 minutes because no staff member was present. Eventually called the hotel from my cell in order to get someone to come to the desk and check me in. Then they sent me to a room that had not yet been prepared for a new guest. So I went back down to the front desk. Again no staff member was present. I had to call them on the phone again in order to get someone to come to the desk and help

Liked the location, wasn’t too busy and was located in a nice neighbourhood

Okay hotel. A lot of construction going on around the area so it can be VERY noisy.

Wouldnt hesitate to stay again, very clean and very quiet during my week stay for work. Not nearly as busy of an area compared to say Michigan Ave where i have stayed before in Dearborn

The ladies at the desk are always friendly and polite. They need a few more options for breakfast food.

Convenient and near a mall but that’s it. “Breakfast” was mini muffins and coffee. Terrible smell and dirt inside the elevators, hallways, and in the room.

Room was ok. Bed was comfortable enough. Carpet was not clean and had sticky areas. I didn't take off my shoes a second time. Rest of room was clean. Staff was very helpful. "Breakfast" consisted of coffee, packedged muffins, packages of oatmeal.

I had a good stay. But the hallways and elevators had a smell. They could have offered a little more in the breakfast selection.

Reagan was very nice & freindly. She called me to let me know i has accidentialy made 2 reservations, prior ot my checking in. She cancelled the reservation before i got there, and although I ended up being double charged, they immediatley refunded my monies, with no issues. She also was able to accomodate later check out which worked well. CON: the nght shift didnt set up breakfast in the morning, so my guest & I had to order out. Other than that no real issues, and Id stay again

My stay was not so good I booked a room with double beds and was giving a room with 1 king bed and a recliner that didn't work. I was still charged the same rate. They were no amenities such as breakfast, ice machine,ect. The place smelled horrible from cigarette smoke to Marijuana smoke and drunks hanging outside i definitely didn't feel safe for myself or my family
