It’s a simple place, no extras. Coffee would be nice, and weights in the workout room. Beds were decent.

Didn't have any clean towels had to ask for tissue and it would be nice to add an ice machine

In was in a perfect location. I was 5 minutes away from everything I was trying to get to. It had a laundry in hotel and a small workout area.

Lobby and common areas we're never clean. While there is a small kitchen you have to BUY dishes, utensils, and pans. Towel fee is charged? You can hear neighbors conversation clearly. Bed is comfortable but only 2 pillows. Tons of storage though only 5 hangers. Tons of outlets including USB ports in some. Hotel is not worthy of Expedia 8.4 rating.

No staff as you checked in thru a kiosk. There was someone there in morning but watched that night as someone ms key wasn’t working and they couldn’t get into their room. The parking lot is dusgusting and trash bins overflowing. Room was average at best

Big thirsty towels were provided. No carpet, but that wasn't a problem. Strong wifi. The normal amenities of a hotel were lacking. No breakfast. The front desk was not staffed during the night. No ice machine. No luggage rack in the room - where do we put our luggage? A cart to haul our luggage to our room was available when we checked in, but was missing when we checked out - not completely the hotel's fault, but how about having two or three carts available instead of just one? Our television did not work. We notified the front desk, who promised to look into the problem and get back to us. We never heard back, so did not have TV for our two-night stay - problem never solved. The fire alarm emitted a flash of light every few seconds - noticeable when lights were out. We slept facing away from it. We had not encountered this in past travels. Only an A&W was nearby; else restaurants required a drive. There is a large shopping mall nearby, but the lack of cars and empty out-lot buildings suggest it is on life support. As for use as a suite, our room contained no dishes, utensils, pots/pans, or gadgets. Only a few hangars. No chair for R&R. The location is easy to find. The Henry Ford Museum complex is only a few minutes away - the reason we chose this property.

First floor room. We heard every door slam shut, including car doors all the time. No service in the evening with no hours posted at the desk when it was shut. No clean towels available. No soap in the room. Kitchen worthless without utensils or other basic kitchen needs. Room beside us pounding until after midnight. No one to tell this problem to. Long time residents should not be located on the same floor as guests, the hallway constantly stunk of food being made.

My mom and I like having the shopping mall and restaurants near us, the outside and inside of the building was nice and clean. We didn’t like how small the bed were, the two little pillows we received, there wasn’t a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, or no house keeping to tidy up the room a bit for us. My mom also didn’t like how she was told that she had to bring down her towels and get a replacement of her own, instead of the maid coming upstairs to bring her new towels. Also, there were a few towels that were still dirty. I wish the gym was a little bigger, that they served cold breakfast at the hotel, and I wish the front desk stayed open until midnight. Overall, I give the hotel 3.5 out of 5 starts because the hotel was nice it just didn’t have more amenities to choose from or much accommodations for the guest. I also felt like the stash should have been more welcoming. I just didn’t get that energy from them. I think it’s a good hotel if you’re only staying for a few days and don’t plan to be there for like a week or more.

The hotel was clean and felt safe. However, I would classify the stay as an "Aldi's" type stay. I knew before we went that they did not offer breakfast or have a pool which was fine. However what I did not know is that they only clean the rooms every other week. You also have to go to the desk for towel exchange which costs you $7. The room has a kitchen area, but there are no pots, pans or serving utensils. Once again, you have to go to the desk and pay an extra fee for them to give that to you. You also have to empty your own trash. If you are staying more that one night, bring extra towels and cooking utensils if you are planning on using the kitchen. I will probably pay the extra $30 or $40 a night and have a clean towel and trash removed from the room next time.

Staff was accommodating and helpful, property was completely acceptable. On-site laundry is efficiently app-controlled with helpful notifications. It is weird not having the front desk open at all hours, as this is a long-term stay property, but someone is always available for assistance. We had an issue the first night of a weeklong start that was handled easily and efficiently. Would stay here again, and might next year!

Clean rooms and friendly staff

The property was not at all what was excepted. Dirty foyer, hallways and elevator someone had urinated in.

Walked into a double bed room (TWO BEDS & UP TO 4 PPL) a found 2 and a half pillows. Literally, 2 regular pillows and a small square (couch) pillow inside of a regular sized pillow case. There were black stains on the walls and grease stains (also on the walls) near the stove. Got there late so we went straight to sleep. Woke up to make breakfast and out came the cockroaches! Threw EVERYTHING away and left! Worst part (sort of), there was no one to make a complaint to, NO ONE EVEN WORKS THERE!

Upon entry you’re greeted with a clean lobby, fresh scent. Same for your room, everything appears spotless and smells great! My shower had no curtain, went to the front desk to retrieve one. They don’t have curtains long enough for the walk in showers, so prepare for the entire floor to be soaked. Once I dried the floor with their towels, I realized how filthy the floors were. They have not been fully disinfected or mopped in weeks, you can tell by how black the towels were. Our room had no hot water. I had to ask 3 times for someone to take a look before they moved us to another room the next day. New room had hot water, but I had to scrub our shower and the floor because both were dirty. I ended up getting food poisoning during my trip so I had zero energy to argue with anyone about cleanliness, I’m just glad I plan ahead and bring cleaning supplies. Hopefully they can do better in the future and retrain cleaning staff, this place does have potential! At least the beds were comfy!

The room was not cleaned. It was quite clear. We found the hair of a previous guest on the nightstand and bathtub, and in general it was easy to tell it had not been cleaned. The elevator and other areas of the facilities were quite dirty. Overall, the conditions were poor and we will never return.

This is a fairly new hotel that appears to be going down like it has been there for years. The elevators and hallways are always dirty with trash, spilled beverages, etc. This was a business trip and we encountered people who were moving in for a month by month extended rate like apartment use. There were all kinds of food smells in the hallways. The staff was semi ok, depended on who was there. The cops were there 3 times that we know of when we stayed. Once for a domestic issue, once looking for someone, and once for someone passed out in their car(appears to have been waiting for someone and was too hot). Not a bad place just not what we expected. We have stayed in Woodspring Suites before and they were not like this one. Just know to expect the room will be clean but the elevator, hallways, and public areas were not and to see domestic issues.

I am writing to formally share my recent experience during our stay at your hotel, which, unfortunately, was not a pleasant one. We arrived at the hotel at 6:00 AM, exhausted from our travels. Upon waking up later that morning, we discovered a number of unacceptable cleanliness issues in our room: • There was a very dirty bra under the bed. • Used towels were left around the room. • The bed sheets were dirty. • The bathroom and end tables were also unclean. • The towels provided were soiled. Additionally, the kiosk we used to check in and receive our room key was malfunctioning. It took us 45 minutes to finally obtain a key, despite multiple requests to speak to staff. We were told someone would be coming to assist us, but no one ever arrived, leaving us to resolve the issue ourselves. The next day, we informed the staff of our concerns. While they acknowledged the situation, that evening, we encountered even more issues. When we returned to our room, the hotel was overrun with unsupervised teenagers who were being extremely loud, smoking, and generally causing a disturbance. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (around 3:00 AM), and it was unclear whether this was an actual emergency, a test, or a prank caused by the unsupervised guests. There was loud music and screaming outside, making it nearly impossible to rest. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, and the condition of both the facilities and the environment was

Stayed for 1 night. Hotel appears to be new. Check in was quick and the woman at the desk was friendly and explained that everything. Went in room and looked around. Everything appeared clean and fresh although the hallway smelled like KFC? Was good a first then became overpowering and all I could smell. When I pulled the sheets back a bit to do a bed bug inspection everything looked good. No bugs or hairs. That was until much later that night when I fully pulled the sheets back and discovered a terrible brown stain! Absolutely disgusting!!! Front office had already closed so I just slept on top of hopefully a clean quilt on the opposite side of the bed. I checked out at 5:30am.

This is a new property. Everything is clean and nice as one would expect. However, the bed was hard, the pillows were thin and therefore not to our liking. Also, the floors were not carpeted, which we also didn't like. For some unknown reason the guest in the room above us walked around the room until about 3 am and with no carpet we heard every step. We spent two nights. I doubt we would return.

The room we stayed in was modern and updated and clean. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We both woke up with back aches.

The hotel is quite new with pretty modern decor. The suite was spacious with a full kitchen. The downside was the total lack of amenities in the room or even at the desk to be borrowed - no hair dryer, no coffee pot, nothing to use in the kitchen to make it functional, even no ice machine available. The management explained that their price is less than any suite properties, and providing amenities would just raise the price. That rationale seems a bit overblown when you consider the minimal cost of a hair dryer or even dollar store kitchenware. We were also told that items like these are frequently stolen by guests. Perhaps a security deposit could be assessed, as other hotels do, with deductions for items taken from the room. Again, we understood the concept of keeping the room rate as low as possible. However, if guests must bring their own items to use the kitchen or dry their hair, the hotel listing should clearly include that information so people can make a more informed decision.

Nice room, very clean. I love the full size refrigerator, microwave and counter top built in stove burners. There is also aton of storage space and the room itself is spacious. It was also not to many people there probably do to me booking on a Sunday. Nice location right near Fairlane Mall and a few restaurants with access right onto the Southfield Fwy.

It was a nice hotel and I know it recently new but the walls are extremely thin you can hear a person sneeze and they need more toiletries in the bathroom it was only a bar of soap and one towel and the vendor machines for the pops was not cold

It was very noisy in the hallways and adjacent rooms. No staff on site (At least not the time I was there). The bed is very uncomfortable. But overall for the price, it wasnt too bad for my purpose. I came in late night for a wedding. So I was only there from 9pm until checkout the following morning.

The bed was awkwardly low to the ground and was like sleeping on concrete. 0/10, do not recommend.

Convenient and clean accommodations. No frills but spacious and clean. We read reviews and brought everything (plates, cutlery) to fix a simple breakfast . Great for an extended stay on a budget. May need to bring pillows as the ones provided are very slim. Walls are thin so we could hear ppl walking in the morning. Good value for its price

A lot of parties and noise at night, was not able to sleep. They moved us to another room far from the noise, but that room did not have heat, we reported that 3 times, but no one cared. Will never book this property again.

1 night stay was perfect! Check in with Chelsea was exceptional and informative. Great location and safe!

This hotel is absolutely disgusting , there was hair all over the bathroom, it was not clean at all. There is no staff working there at all , you have to do self check in at a kiosk and it takes forever to get ahold of someone to even do that, my key didn't work and there were several other people with keys that didn't work. Would not recommend at all , I rather sleep in my car!

Front desk is only staffed 9am to 5pm. The kiosk and front phone system to try and get help doesn't always work. The girl working the front on call can be very nice one minute and extremely rude at other times. Needed to go to the front twice because the room key cards didn't work and she acted like she was really being put out when asked for help. Would not recommend!

The check in process was wrought with issues. Had to use the kiosk & still wait on an employee to show up with our hotel keys that the kiosk should've been able to issue. As a result, was delayed over 45 minutes before an employee showed up, making me late for an engagement I had elsewhere.

I stayed for a night after Expedia showed a hotel vacancy, but it is really an extended stay. The front desk is not usually open and the key kiosk doesn’t work. The manager was super nice and got us checked in after a 30 minute delay, so all was forgiven after initially being annoyed at not being able to check in after being on the road for 13 hours. Very good value compared to the surrounding options.

Avoid this place like the plague! The room is spacious and clean, but that's about it. - No soap products available in the room. Bring your own. - Towel service is non-existent. You have to bring the towels down to the front desk and have them exchanged there. - The two key cards that we were issued had to be reprogrammed 3 times on 3 consecutive days, which meant we didn't have access to our room every time. - The front desk is a joke when it comes to customer service, as it is open a limited number of hours during the day, and completely closed after 5:00PM. - On one occasion where I had to have the card keys reprogrammed, the front desk was closed at 3:14pm. Calling the hotel's customer service number was of no help. It took 20 minutes for an employee to finally open the front desk and get us going after a resident who happened to be walking by, called the hotel manager to come and help. A couple that had been waiting to check-in, left the lobby and went to a different hotel.

No staff to check in with. Kiosk to check in was broken. When called to check in over the phone, was informed that no rooms available and my reservation is cancelled at 9:30pm night of my travel and left with no place to stay….still working on getting a refund…

It was very nice and quite.. Staff are very helpful and very nice

Nice location and it was in close proximity to all the things we wanted to do in the city with limited time. Arrived an hour early and was charged $25 for one hour early check in which seemed excessive.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the facilities were just fine. The area around the hotel is run down and many of the other guests were loud and/or inconsiderate.

Great property, by shopping mall and around food

Variety of resturants to choose from, not just fast food. Close to downtown Detroit with 4 major sport arenas. Concert Hall bars, clubs and the Casinos Short drive to Canada. Prime location for family or couples

Upon our arrival, the hotel was clean and tidy. The staff was amazing and friendly. Our room was spotless, and the location was excellent—close to restaurants and shopping centers within walking distance.

Chelsea at the front desk was amazing. She helped me with whatever issue I had. Unfortunately, there was a screaming child across the hall (something I know the hotel cannot control) and on the morning that I was leaving, the TV was not working. Really wished there was a coffee machine in the room or an offered breakfast. Overall though, for the price, it was ok.

Overall a good stay. I was surprised they don't have coffee or any kind of breakfast available.

There were no food options since a lot of the hotels did away with breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that I had reserved the room weeks prior and I got there a little earlier than check in but it wasn’t ready and I specifically asked about being able to check in early.

No breakfast or other amenities but it was very clean and staff were super friendly and helpful.
