It was ok for a one night stay. I think the room price didn't align with the actual room. The sofa sleeper in the room was very worn out and dated. Really the property was just ok, the elevators were getting stuck. The area was safe and an easy walk from the little ceasers arena.

The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was the restaurant closes early 10:00. The hotel was very nice, location, valet parking, clean facility. Rooms were comfortable. Elevators are small.

Hotel was in a convenient location where we could walk to Detroit Tigers game, walk to Riverwalk, restaurants, Greektown. Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. They sent a text after check in and and questions I had I texted and got a quick response. We used the valet service for parking which was $40 a day. There was also a parking lot next to hotel for $30 a day and that would probably have been fine to use.

The Valet service stole our car off the lot for a joy ride, we watched them peel out of the lot with the car sideways while we were standing outside. The Valet service allegedly isn't affiliated with the Hotel, however it is operating inside the hotel doors and advertised by the Hotel therefore it must have a contract with hotel management or property owners. I would not stay here unless you want them to joy ride in your car in downtown detroit. They drove our car without permission both nights we stayed, we just happened to catch them in the act the second night. They apologized and said they wouldn't charge us, but then quickly left the property. We had to confiscate the keys from the valet and the next morning had to explain again that we had to take the keys from valet because they stole our car and explain why we wouldn't be charged. Not only unprofessional, outright dangerous.

The property is fine. The STAFF especially valet is NOT! One late night someone was in the hallway fight front desk offered to move us but it’s 3AM! Wouldn’t it make sense to remove the disturbance? Valet is a COMPLETE ripoff! Apparently some say $30 others say $40. Valet fees only cover you from 4pm-10am then you’re charged AGAIN! When I asked the front desk about this I was brushed off and told it’s handled through a 3rd party and she has nothing to do with it. Valet threatened to call hotel security simply because he didn’t want to answer my questions. Security at the SAME Hotel who told me they didn’t have anything to do with it! The Hotel is runner by KIDS! Literally! Should have went across the street to Westin!

Parking was aweful, $30 parking overnight. Hotel access from parking lot is horrible. Room quality was not worth the price, and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Toilet was so close to the sink that i was touching the sink podium with part of my a**. The breakfast was great.

Was great for our one night stay. Location is perfect to walk 15mins to Ford Field or any restaurants close by. The room and bedding was clean. We did the $30 overnight parking in the lot behind the hotel, but the hotel does offer $40 for valet parking.

Due to a family emergency, we only were able to stay at the hotel for a little over and hour before we had to check back out. They were nice and have us back $30 from the $157 that we spent on the room due to the unfortunate situation. We also had to pay $20 for them to park our car for a hour. When we got to the room it was neat and tidy, but the bathroom was not. There was dirt in the corners and shower door would not shut. It kept rolling open causing water to splash on the floor. There were only two large towels which was also a little inconvenient. Again, we were not there very long but it didn’t impress me enough to return.

Second stay on location. This time I got a couple of messages insisting on the extreme pride taken on the cleanliness of the property (backlash from past issues?) yet my room wasn’t vacuumed when I rolled in or a single time during my week long stay… Ironic, isn’t it? I left it as a test. Failed. Rest was clean, average. Come in, sleep, leave. No big deal but not great either.

I checked-in in Detroit on June 21st and was going to stay the night and check out on the 22nd, but I did not end up staying. When I returned to my room, I took a video of a cockroach in my room and did not feel comfortable sleeping in my hotel room. I went down to the front desk and showed them the video, they gave me an email address (dwynn@hotelindigo.com) to send the video to for a refund, but I got an error message back. I reached out to a live agent via the website chat and explained the situation. They provided me with another email address to send the video to and let me know they have opened a case for me and provided the reference number 10569284743. Then I got another email asking me to explain... I'm done explaining. THERE WAS A COCKROACH WHAT MORE EXPLANATION DO YOU NEED!?!?! I just want a refund and I’m getting the runaround. I have had to explain what happened to 3 different people and I keep getting bounced around. Do not stay here.

Sadly we didn’t have the best experience during our stay this time. The room was extremely hot and the ac seemed like it wasn’t working. You could visibly see mold in the shower and hairs from the last time someone used it before us. We were also woken up at 2am by people screaming at each other in the hallway (which I know isn’t the hotels fault, but it went on for quite a while). 3 stars because the staff was great and the bed was comfortable and everything but the shower was clean

Charged extra for valet because my husbands truck has a larger engine, not larger in size than other vehicles, so not sure why; hair all over bathroom and sink area, floor in general was dirty, like no one even swept let alone mopped, had to wipe down all surfaces, dusty and dirty. I know they were busy that weekend but still, basic cleaning didn’t seem to get done.

Front desk staff, bartender, and valet were all very accommodating and great. Check in was quick and accommodating. The rooms were small and our entry door was difficult to enter due to the angle it opened and the limitations on its opening. A wheelchair wouldn't fit thru that door (on 1 of 2 rooms). The staff made a great dinner recommendation and took care of our other needs in a friendly and efficient way.

Building is older and with that, comes some HVAC issues. First room I was in, the temp didn’t move from 77 degrees. They were gracious and moved me to another room. The temp never really regulated in the room and was hot/cold all night long. Not really the experience I have had at other Indigo hotels.

While the room was nicely equipped with a fridge, microwave, and tv -- the noise of other guests was awful. Slamming doors, people on their phones talking in the hallway in the middle of the night, and loud groups arguing. It made it hard to stay asleep even with a white noise machine and frequently disturbed our sleeping 1 year old. There was one dining option that we utilized for breakfast, the food was good, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Overall I'd rate this a 3/5 hotel. It worked for our short term stay for a wedding, but I wouldn't say it's super family friendly. The staff is what is keeping the rating up as they were quick, knowledgable, and super kind to us.

The bathroom was extremely tight. The toilet was up against the sink. The shower door only opened on the side where the shower head was located. I was very surprised this wasn’t mentioned on any of the reviews. For the price point I expected better quality. Will not stay here again.

This is my second time staying with hotel indigo. We were in Detroit for a concert/our anniversary and when we arrived— there was a line at the door. We later found out that rooms weren’t available yet. I understand things happen, and the staff was kind and marked our luggage and let us leave it there. I noticed a few people being rude to the staff, and the staff remained calm and kind to them despite all the chaos going on. When we came back, our room was ready and we were greeted with someone telling us happy anniversary. We found a vase with flowers, balloons little chocolates and a card. I just thought it was really sweet. Our room was spotless, and perfect. We got breakfast at the hotel, and it was a wonderful way to end the trip before we headed home. Thank you!! I can’t say this enough, The front desk staff was beyond exceptional!!!! I look forward to my next stay. -Sadia Kutz

Unfortunately my experience with this hotel was not good. We booked our hotel months in advance. While I understand there was sold out rooms but it was very clear this hotel was not prepared for that as we were told check in time was 3 and we were checked in well after 4pm. Not only was this happening to us but there was a line out the door of ppl as well. I understand their internet went out but it was clear rhere was a good system in places to carry out what needed to be done in a timely manner making most late for a huge concert we’re all were attending. Also bc of the poor situation the hotel would do all they can do make it right and not once did I see that happen to date . Instead we were charged and I mean no sorry for the inconvenience mass messaging to apologize etc. the place also was not clean at all . Horrible experience and I have ppl with me from out of town . It should have been prepared as most ppl booked well in advance and being a downtown hotel of Detroit you would like they would be planning for continued crowed like this .

It's was good overall besides trying to check in at 4pm as scheduled and walking into a line that wrapped around the lobby and went out the front door, took an hour to get through the line and another 30 mins for a room to be available. The lounge/ restaurant wasn't open either to get a drink otherwise it wouldn't have been so bad. But with everyone packed into the lobby waiting to be checked in and waiting for a room. Kinda put us into a bad feeling about the hotel.

Check in was AWFUL. Check in time was 4pm, we arrived at 7pm to a lobby full of people waiting because none of the rooms were ready. 3 hours after official check in time. The woman behind the desk was rude and chose to hide in the office eating instead of answering questions or apologize for the delay. She was very dismissive of the situation and didn’t apologize even once. Horrible experience!! The room, however was lovely and clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. With the exception of the check in process, the remainder of the stay was enjoyable.

The Indigo Hotel was a very pleasant first impression for us visiting Detroit. The location is very central in the downtown area so it is easy to walk and see quite a bit without needing transport. The Front Desk was very kind, courteous and helpful for our needs. Our room, a king suite was spacious and had nice windows to get a view of the skyline. The only gripe I had was that the pullout bed from the couch was very thin and a little creaky because it had a plastic liner I didn’t expect too much from the pull out so overall it didn’t take away much from the stay. If you’re looking to visit Detroit, this is definitely a great option for the value.

Your 24 grille was the worst . Way too expensive for food prepped by small children it appeared . Nachos and wings were horrible. We were the 1st people in the restaurant and waited for appetizers for over an hour . No credit to our bill was offered. Will not eat there again or recommend to anyone.

I’ll start with the positives. Valet parking was easy and helped us a lot, given the parking situation in Detroit. The place was very clean. And, once I finally got my food in the restaurant, it was really good. Now the negatives. It took an hour to get checked in. Most likely because there was only 1 person checking people in. The line to check in was literally out of the door onto the sidewalk. And plenty of people were waiting in the lobby because not enough rooms were ready. Now the restaurant. Only 1 bartender/server for the whole place, and this hotel was at capacity. She kept locking the doors to keep people out because “she’s too busy”. I had to get a valet guy to let me in. Then I sat there for 30 minutes without any acknowledgment. When I had enough, I had to ask for service and that meant I was “rude”. I saw a patron at a table eating, get up to use the bathroom and got locked out of the restaurant. His food still on the table with his wallet and phone, and he was also called “rude” for knocking on the door to get back in. Unbelievable. That was at 5:00 in the afternoon. The doors were locked again at 10 pm that night with a restaurant full because they were “too busy”. For $700 a night, this is unacceptable. I would have to be desperate for a hotel room to stay here again.

I was attending a conference and this was a perfect distance away. Very easy walk. Room was clean, parking was OK. Only issue is when I went to eat the dining room was closed (around 2:30PM) Breakfast was very good.

This was our first time in Detroit and Hotel Indigo did not disappoint! Fast and efficient check in with attentive staff and clean facilities. Great F&B staff under Chef Q. The restaurant truly exceeded our expectations.
