The hotel was beautiful, bright, and clean. The front desk service was 10/10. Ate at a couple of different places in the food court and it was ELITE. Both places we ate had consistently good food. And the complementary shuttle to the arena was a very pleasant surprise. I will absolutely be coming back duirng my next visit to Detroit!

Hotel was beautiful. Only bad thing I would mention is the shuttle. Drop off/pick up to and from LCA was blocks away. After the event let out we had to call the hotel to let them know it was over. To send 1 shuttle with limited seating and a no standing rule at 1am in downtown Detroit was not the best experience. We ended up paying for an uber to get back.

We came to Detroit for a ball game and concert. Parking was a breeze at the hotel and and stayed safe over the weekend. The shuttle to Comerica and Little Ceasars Arena was super convenient for drop off and pick up. Highly recommend using the shuttle and don.t forgot to tip the drivers! This will be our go to for future weekend getaways in Detroit.

Clean the rooms better. One pillow case was nasty and dusty was on counters abd table. Our refrigerator had to be replaced and the shower head still had finger prints on it. Also maintenance had to com put up tower rack. The hotel was beautiful.

The AC in our room didn’t work. The temp when we arrived was 65 degrees. Returning that night it was 78 degrees and never cooled down. We checked out much earlier than planned the next day because of how hot the room was. The headboard had marker writing on it. The furniture and carpet were stained. The pillows were very cheap and the windows of the room on the tenth floor were covered in spiders. Not worth nearly $500 a night.

I was visiting Detroit for a concert( which was great) but after an exhausting night, I was looking forward to crawling into a nice comfy bed and falling asleep. I did start off comfortably asleep but was awakened by my arm itching and me scratching it feverishly. I hurried to the bathroom and could see my arm was covered with welts. Came back to the bed, turned on the lights and found a bed bug on my pillow. I called the desk to report the issue. Manager Jessica(I believe), “medic” and security arrived. They removed the bug, offered my alcohol pads. I requested Benadryl too. I was directed to a vending machine. Manager offered another room which of course I accepted at 3 am. I had to inquire about my room being comp for the inconvenience, she agreed. Finally in another room, it took so time to get back asleep. Woke up later than expected. Call the desk, explained the bed bug and room change as I requested a later checkout. I was only granted 1 additional hour. Poor customer service all around. This was a very disappointing first impression.

Gave me room with a bed that sheets looked like it went through WWII. Dingy and spotted. Had to call down twice before someone came to change them. Other than that the hotel was nice, many food options around the casino. Wonderful concert at The Sound Board

The room was okay-ish. It was super convenient since we were there for the Red Wings fanfest, but the bed is hard as a rock, the tv wouldn't connect to Netflix or Prime Video. You also couldn't cast to it from a phone or computer. The room was always hot even with their conditioning on 65 and the fan on constant. And needless to say, drunk people coming home from the casino at 4am just don't know how to be even a tiny bit quiet. But maybe that's what this hotel is ment to be for...people who drink, gamble and sty out until all hours. I fully understand that the casino is where you make your money and it makes sense for the place to cater to them. I typically stay at Hilton hotels and absolutely love them. I guess I just thought that this was 3 times the price it would be 3 times as good.

At $675 a night for a suite it was shocking that the only lunch options were pizza or burgers. No sit down options whatsoever. Tigers playoff game and all hotel restaurants were closed. Only decaf coffee in the room. Two tiny waters, no glassware, no bottle opener, no mini-bar. Felt a lot like a Motel Six attached to a casino....

The room was perfect on the 8th floor amazing view very spacious double beds felt like sleeping on a cloud very comfortable, quiet and clean the whirlpool tubs 🛁 was all that. Parking easy and the Bellman Anthony was courteous helpful and friendly he delivered Great Service. Sisters celebrating our Life day 🎶❤️Great Concert and Comedy Show @The SoundBoard

The rooms are nice and big. The walls are paper thin. The casino is old and not very entertaining. The hotel is in a good location. Rooms were overpriced because there was a concert in town. I would probably not stay here again.

Overall OK. The rooms are large and spacious, and the casino itself is a good size. However the rooms were NOT clean. There was mold growing in the shower, dust and hair were everywhere in the room and it had a strange smell. The check in staff when we arrived were rather curt, but the staff when we checked out were super friendly. Overall pretty expensive for a very “meh” experience.

The rooms were dirty, beds were uncomfortable and badly needed an upgrade. The bathtub had mold & was gross! We were kept awake until 4am with a group of people partying across the hall, even though the hotel says they have “quiet hours” after 11pm. For $300 a night… go somewhere else.

The property is due for an update and looks pretty dated. There were stains on the carpet and drapes that looked like they were attempted to be cleaned. Otherwise the cleanliness was only average. What stood out was that the staff was very friendly. Also we ended up taking an Uber to the Pistons game only to find out later that there was a free shuttle from the hotel. It would have been nice if they advertised this better.

We have stayed at Motor City many times and usually enjoy it. The room itself was fine, but they gave us literally the worst view in the building. When checking in I didn't realize until we got to the elevator that we were on floor 3 that was literally one floor above the lobby and directly in front of the Public Casino parking lot. There was no view and it was loud at night as people were coming and going. I called immediately when we entered the room and told them that we have never stayed in room this low and facing the parking structure. They asked if I asked the person checking us in for a higher room and I said no but I have never had to before. She said that they were fully booked and could not accommodate my request. I went down to talk in person to someone and the front desk receptionist was very nice and understood, she went and talked to the manager and came back and said the manager said there was nothing they could do. Did not come out to speak with me or offer anything like a comp or even an apology. This was very disappointing, maybe if I didn't book through hotels.com they would have accommodated and given us some concession? Not sure but we felt like we were not valued at all as patrons past and present. We will not stay there again and I will be staying at the other 2 Casinos downtown from now on. They seem to value their customers more than Motor City...

Not sure but we felt like we were not valued at all as patrons past and present. We will not stay there again and I will be staying at the other 2 Casinos downtown from now on. Our stay was nice desk clerk at check-in was not the friendliest, but we had to go back to the front desk for new room keys and had the friendly desk clerk she greeted us with the biggest smile and she was very pleasant. Motor City is a nice place to stay it's next to everything. The hotel needs to think about changing or replacing their carpet in their rooms.

I was visiting Detroit for a concert( which was great) but after an exhausting night, I was looking forward to crawling into a nice comfy bed and falling asleep. I did start off comfortably asleep but was awakened by my arm itching and me scratching it feverishly. I hurried to the bathroom and could see my arm was covered with welts. Came back to the bed, turned on the lights and found a bed bug on my pillow. I called the desk to report the issue. Manager Jessica(I believe), “medic” and security arrived. They removed the bug, offered my alcohol pads. I requested Benadryl too. I was directed to a vending machine. Manager offered another room which of course I accepted at 3 am. I had to inquire about my room being comp for the inconvenience, she agreed. Finally in another room, it took so time to get back asleep. Woke up later than expected. Call the desk, explained the bed bug and room change as I requested a later checkout. I was only granted 1 additional hour. Poor customer service all around. This was a very disappointing first impression.

It was such a stree free, the staff was top tier. Our bellhop Anthony was terrific on arrival and departure. During check in which was very busy, long lines to check into our room and he waited for us and got us accommodated. Wonderful experience for our fun filled day to come town for a concert for Chris Brown. Just so nice to come to a stress free establishment. And the room was wonderful. We had to get sheets changed because of a few stain BUT they took care of it right away even though house keeping had left for the day. But the gentleman came in and made our bed for us. The shuttle was great addition as well. The drivers were so informative. Over all our experience was wonderful. I will stay again!

The staff, particularly the manager Jessica was terrible to the point that I will never book a room at Motor City Casino again. I'll try the competition first. Jessica was very confrontational and even threatened to cancel the room because she stated I was going back and forth with her. She stated her point and I stated mine but she didn't want to hear my point and considered it back and forth. I have every right to speak for myself and defend myself from being misquoted. Jessica didn't like that. She was very unprofessional. I would've allowed her to follow through on her threat and cancel the reservation had it not been a gift for my mom's 75th birthday.

The woman that checked us in was amazing. The lady that was helping with the shuttle was great. Only issue was we were at the pick up point 47 mins after the game and their was no shuttle to get back when we called the hotel we were told if ur under an hr they will be there then hung up on. Very rude. No one ever showed up so we had to Lyft back.

As someone front out of town, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It’s a casino, sure. The room was clean and nice. But for a woman staying alone.. probably wasn’t the safest option! Especially coming in late at night etc. can be a rowdy crowd. I’ll be staying in Detroit next month for work and will definitely find one of the smaller/quieter boutique hotels downtown.

The hotel room itself was quite nice. Parking was a bit confusing, as was navigation to the property. For the most part, the staff was great, but there were a few individuals that weren’t very fun to interact with. Area around the property was also nearly empty, no entertainment outside of the casino/hotel. Transportation was confusing as well, with no set time that the services end.

We love staying at this hotel whenever my husband and I go to a Pistons basketball or Lions football game. It is away from the busy downtown area, yet walkable to the arenas and many restaurants around Ford Field or Little Caesars Arena. It is clean, spacious, and has free self parking areas. Also, no resort fees charge of $30 which the MGM Grand a couple blocks away charges you. Plus MGM Grand makes you walk for 20 minutes through their casino to get to check in desk. We will be staying at Motor City Casino again from now on.

Nice hotel. But for the $300+ price per night booking, not offering breakfast was surprising. Did not mind paying for breakfast but the “kiosk” with average to bad food was not great. The hotel was beautiful, bright, and clean. The front desk service was 10/10. Ate at a couple of different places in the food court and it was ELITE. Both places we ate had consistently good food. And the complementary shuttle to the arena was a very pleasant surprise. I will absolutely be coming back duirng my next visit to Detroit!

I felt secure. The room had nice amenities. There were questionable stains in the room. The shuttle was a nice convenience but lines and wait times were very long. The worst of the trip and why I would not recommend or repeat was the very limited dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Booked this hotel for the weekend for the Tycoon Festival and I loved it so much ! They provided shuttle buses to and from the arena ! They had plenty of restaurants for you to eat if you wanted to and the best part is the casino is walkable from your hotel too ! I never had to go outside ! 10/10 experience, thank you Motorcity Casino !
