Days Inn by Wyndham Mackinaw City - Bridgeview Area

The staff was friendly. Very accommodating and willing to help. The biggest problem I have is the parking. It was crowded and very hard to maneuver around. The pool could use some updating. They were only a few chairs/loungers and tables for the amount of guests. Overall you get what you pay for.

Nice pool, but overall the place has seen better days.

Pool old and dirty

This review is based on only sleeping at the property and having a stay of less than 6 hours. We did not eat breakfast because it was too packed in the small space. We checked in well after midnight and left by 7 am, after sleeping for a few hours and showering, we continued on our journey. The parking lot is not well lit and there is limited parking for the amount of rooms.

For the price, the room was clean spacious and amenities all in working order. A bit noisey near highway and room near lobby, tight parking

Very clean. Comfortable. Conveniently located near the bridge. Parking lot was was tight. Hard to fit a pick up truck through, but we managed. Staff was very friendly!

Ideal location for walking to town shops, Shepler's Ferry, and Fort Michilimackinac. A bit outdated, has a pool but no hot tub. Our bathroom's shampoo dispenser was empty, the bathroom fan did not work, and one light was burnt out. Breakfast offerings were limited, and only a few items were restocked once empty. Would stay here again due to location.

Parking was very limited. Free breakfast was great but not much space to eat. Had to cart back the food w 3 little kids. Needless to say, I had to make a few trips.

The hot tub was down I feel when I pay for a hotel I pay for the amenities. There was hardly hot water to the room. Just all around poor stay wouldn't recommend for the price

This is not a fancy hotel, but it was clean, beds were comfortable. There was an issue with a leaking toilet when we checked in just before midnight. It was repaired while we were out the next day. Audies restaurant next door had very good food

Staff is very nice, absolutely great location and room is clean. It is quiet at night. Discounted ferry tickets were sold on front desk, don’t miss it if you plan to go to the Mackinac Island.

This is a very run down property and everything felt old and a little dirty.

The beds had some stains and the bathroom/floors weren’t super clean.

The property was run down, dingy, and stunk. It was hard to sleep because the smell was so strong. The cover on the bed was dingy grey, was supposed to be white. The towels were thin and shouldve been replaced. There was some sort of electric heater in the bathroom that looked like it had been beaten up. It was not worth it. It felt unsafe and dirty. Save your money.

Dirty carpet. Linens carted in shopping cart. Breakfast room chairs dirty and stained. Breakfast bagels were stale. Not worth the money at all.

This property needs a facelift. Everything worked but everything was old and under-maintained. Our room was clean. The parking was fine. Apart from that it’s kinda crammed, musty, and just… old. The elevator feels dicy. All the fans make too much noise. The climate control is all or nothing. It’s cheap. So, that’s also a consideration. I think for the price it was okay but if you’re expecting anything beyond that… don’t.

The room was musty and wore out. The window had no screen in it so to open the window, the mayflies and other bugs would come in. There were stains on my sheets of which I texted the staff with no response back. I would never stay here again. The breakfast was good however it was a packed Saturday morning and they had one woman working the front desk and breakfast. This is poor management and they need to do better by her and the facilities. The pool was nice and big however, the chairs and tables around the pool were stained old and just felt dirty everywhere you went there.

Not good very dirty

Upon our arrival, the first room we were provided by the hotel had a musky smell followed by dirty sheets with black stains, upon checking the rest of the beds there were multiple hair follicles, the fire alarm was hanging over the door, the bathtub paint was peeling and the room was hot. We called the front desk and notified them of the situations, they didn’t hesitate and moved us to a new room. We checked the sheets like we did on the previous room and didn’t see anything, the sheets seemed clean, no stains or follicles like the previous room. Other than the shower knobs being loose, the room looked better. Once we woke up, our entire bodies were itchy therefore we proceeded to thoroughly search the bed and see what was causing the itch. As we searched the bed we noticed several black stains which weren’t there the night prior and a little after we came across a bed bug. We checked both beds and on both beds we found them. We proceeded to the office, to inform management about this, to what they responded that they couldn’t do anything about it and that we weren’t able to get a refund and that how did they not know that it was us that brought them in. They told us that they would check us out if we didn’t want to stay and that we wouldn’t get a refund for the 2nd night. We grabbed our things and walked out the room. The manager said that he didn’t care because they will just rent the room again. Neglecting the knowledge of bed bug and renting again, is not save!

Nice place for a quick night cap. Though the property is very close to the highway which is busy all the time and traffic noise disturbance is there - but if you are tired or have a deep sleep- it doesn’t affect you much.

Very outdated and worn. Holes in carpet, delaminating tub, musty and just very old. Bed was ok and appeared to be somewhat clean, but the age and wear made it feel not so clean. Atvcheckin, had to call for staff, whichnqas also doing laundry. Staff dressed like they were outside labor workers and just not appealing. Wasnt about to check out the breakfast offered. Ice machine looked like it needed to be cleaned from the stain marks.

Room was very small, didn’t appear to be what we saw on the website.

Unfortunately, the TV in my room did not work. Someone from the front desk fiddled with it, but couldn't get it to work either. He said he'd have maintenance fix it tomorrow, but I was only staying for one night, so that was useless to me. I asked to be moved to a different room, but he didn't want to do that. Looks like they have some kinks to work out. The room was otherwise OK, just a bit run down.

Rooms are very small, tub had a giant hole that was patched very poorly. Parking was a nightmare. Poor wifi and cable. Over all, 3/5

It is not a bridge view so that was misleading and a disappointment as we went there and got a suite on the 3rd floor and you can only see the bridge when you walked onto the sidewalk. Breakfast was lacking as well as coffee so we did not partake in the breakfast that was included

Online info is fraudulant. The air conditioning unit did not work. Soap dispenser did not work.

Only one waste basket. Mattresses were not encased. Carpet wasn’t clean and there was no bridge view.

Refused to check me in due to computor not working. Easier to turn me away then to get support. Could not physically put me in room while making paper check in until technical issue solved

Staff was great

The room we got was cleaned. Check-in was easy. The part we didnt like about the whole stay was when we came back from our trip to Mackinac Island, we found our room was open to entry. The housekeeper did not lock our door after replacing our towels. On the 2nd day, we put the do not disturb sign on the door and came back that afternoon to find the housekeeper once again went in and replaced our towels and left the door unlocked. The front desk woman happened to come by and she had to keep testing the door and had to called someone, only to find the housekeeper had unlocked the door switch. Thankfully it was a pretty safe hotel so nothing was missing.

The hotel was charming, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

I reserved a king bridge view. When I got there they gave me 2 queen beds. Said it was upgrade which it wasn’t. Was told there were not any king beds available but I went on Expedia and there was I shouldn’t have had to pay for king bridge view when I didn’t get it. Besides the desk clerk was rude. The rooms were terrible, air conditioner kept shutting off and saying “check air filter”, fridge, microwave, and TV did not work, bug on bed, shower was chipping, lamp shades extremely yellowed and discolored. Woman at check in was extremely unfriendly, had an attitude. When she came up to the room to check on air conditioner she told us to leave and slammed the door.

Do not stay here. Check-in was a nightmare. We made reservations to stay here for 2 nights and chose the “pay at property” option. When we arrived and proceeded to check in, we were informed of a $50 hold in addition to our room rate, which we anticipated prior to our stat. However, they applied an additional $226 dollar hold on top of the $50 hold the room rate which tied up a big chunk of our spending money for the island. To make matters worse, a second $50 hold was applied to our bank account the next morning. We ended up being charged the correct amount in the end, but a lot of our money was on hold until after we returned home. Don’t go by what you see in the pictures. Those were taken when the hotel first opened. The place is very run down now, and the hot tub is all boarded up. Our room had food splattered on the wall, cracked tiles in the bathroom, an open light fixture hanging from the ceiling, a tv not working properly, and a bedside lamp that only worked occasionally. There were also a lot of insects in the room, especially in the evening. The breakfast area was no bigger than a small child’s bedroom, and the selection is limited. Good luck finding a place to sit down. If you don’t get there when it first opens, mostly everything is gone.

They could not find our reservation. Fortunately they had one room available for us, however it took a really long time at check-in! Breakfast area is very small.

Loved that it was a short walk to the Mackinaw Bridge lookout areas and to restaurants. Will definitely stay there again

The location is perfect for walking most of town and then hopping right back on the freeway at the bridge! It's a cute place, my room was clean, and had a nice little kitchenette at great price for the area.

The Days Inn looks like it’s been through a busy summer season and needs a little freshening. But it’s an appealing property perfectly situated at the south end of the bridge and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the historic fort.

It was in a perfect location for my trip and very convenient For it location and right price.

Location,location, location. Yes it’s an older hotel and needs an update but you can’t beat the location very walkable to down town and most places.

Nice location, easy to walk to town. Some freeway noise but not that bad. Friendly staff. Just a basic breakfast, limited selection.

The stay was good. Very clean rooms and fast check-in. The breakfast room was small and very crowded, but the food was good if you could get in. We stayed for 4 nights.

Breakfast included was a negative for the following reasons: area for the number of rooms is tiny. I was shocked that condiments were in large jars that multiple people would use (just like a home) - big jelly jar, cream cheese tub, etc. Not sure Health Department would approve. The towels are big & fluffier than you see in most motels of this level. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet engine. A/C worked well.

The breakfast was not good . Not enough space or food to accommodate the people. Couldn't understand them at all.

Was a great location. Next to two different marinas to take ferries to the island. Within walking distance of a lighthouse. Short drive to some beaches and next to a strip of diners, small businesses, and sweets shops. Place was just a little dirty in the rooms, like it was hastily vacuumed. The breakfast area was extremely small and I bumped into just about everyone in there. The breakfast selection was pretty terrible.

property was sufficient for a place to sleep. a little far from town center and despite it's name it did not have a bridge view but was withing walking distance. Shower water took up to 10 minutes for hot water to come out. Free breakfast was good with a wide variety of options including make your own waffles,.

I was told breakfast ended at 10 but my partner went at 9:30 and it was already put away
