This was our second time staying at super 8 bridgeview in Mackinaw City rooms are very quiet and clean and the staff is very accommodating. Crystal and Ashley were both exceptional. We will return soon the only issue we had with the property was no locks on the exterior entrances but we were informed that that will be updated shortly.

Coffee wasn’t good. And at times wasn’t available even though at check in they said it was available 24 hours a day. The granola bar options for breakfast were very limited. Baggage carts had multiple flat tires. The pool was not clean. Door was hard to open on room, it didn’t fit the frames well. The pillows were lumpy, limited outlets in room. The good, was super easy to get a shuttle to the ferry for the island and the discounts for tours on the island

This property is in serious need of updating and cleaning. The room Carpeting is is dated at Best and has a peculiar odor. The front desk personnel during check-in was less than helpful and seemed inconvenienced. The outdoor surrounding the property is a need of upkeep and maintenance. The pool and hot tub were cloudy. They’re far better properties in the area.

It is an older hotel attempting to be revamped. The room configuration was inconvenient, and there were not enough outlets. The smell of disinfectants was so strong we almost did not stay and our puppy kept coughing. The outside doors did not lock for nighttime safety. Even the door to the pool did not lock. Any child (or teenager) could get in at night and swim. Bed was very uncomfortable. The employees were very nice and did their best.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Its location is perfect. Right across the street from the beach that has a great view of the bridge. Super close to Shepler’s ferry. Close to downtown. Employees were nice and helpful with all our questions. Love the wood cabin vibes. The pool and hot tub were nice after a long day of exploring the city and island. We would definitely stay here again.

Door jam was not even on the door! They said they had to make it special as you can’t buy one! It took 24 hours to get then the dead bolt would not lock! I didn’t feel very safe in that room! Then to top it off the doors to the outside had no locks on them anyone could have walked in that building!

Did not like this property at all. We chose this property based on the website & being pet friendly. When checking in, the woman informed me it would be $50 for the pet fee. I told her that we have travelled a lot with our 2 small dogs and have never paid that much. In fact, had only paid a $15 fee the night before at a different property. She then proceeded to give me the total bill and said it was $50 per dog. I about dropped my teeth! I was about to tell her we would not be staying, when her coworker stepped in and corrected her - it was $50 for both dogs. I told him I thought that was still high. He told me the owner had raised the price because he had just put in new carpet. When they told me where our room was, I asked about an elevator since we had luggage & was told there was not one in our building. Thank goodness it was only 2 floors! When we got to our room, we were disappointed to see how small & dingy it was! I would suggest to the owner they should not only replace the carpet, but clean up the mildew in the shower, invest in nicer sinks, update the furniture, fix the plugs, put in better lighting, etc. All in all, would definitely not recommend this place!!!

The manager was hateful. Yelled and slammed a door. We were given a lesser room than we paid for and he did not like being confronted about it. When I showed him reservation proof he said it was his motel he could do what he wanted, told me to leave and slammed a door. All in front of a lobby full of customers. Front desk lady was so apologetic. Then We found dirty underwear in our room. Our sheets were dirty and the toilet was used and not flushed. We booked several rooms. Another room had dirty bed sheets. One room had a nasty dirty tub that couldn’t be used. We were all also charged an extra fee for our rooms that were booked nearly a year in advance.

Found bedbugs in bed. Manager was very very unprofessional but offered extermination. Extermination wasnt done so our bags set in the room with the bugs another night. Been a nightmare making sure they dont end up in our house. Horrible experience

The room we were given was absolutely disgusting. It was humid and very musty smelling when we entered. Room 206. The room had waterdamage on the walls and furnishings. Even the painting on the wall had water damage. There was mold in every window and in the bathroom and even under the wallpaper. The walls were damaged and rippled. The headboard was for a queen bed but was propped up on the wall by a king sized bed. The bed had a 4 inch nail in the headboard. The room was utterly disgusting. My socks were dark grey after walking in the room for a short time. Filthy!!! We asked for help EVERYDAY a few times each day. No one ever nothered helping us. The manager was useless. No good parking. Very inconvenient and horrible stay. I coughed the entire time in the room and now my chest hurts

The check-in process was good and front desk attendant was friendly. The room had 3 beds, which was a pleasant surprise since I booked 2. However, the hotel's physical condition is...not good. Our window had a view of a hallway. An actual hallway outside our window. The bathroom door was in poor condition with a visible crack in it.

Outdated rooms and the bed pillows were so small. Smaller than a couch throw pillow. The room was clean and a very convenient location. The desk person Rick was very friendly and knowledgeable. The two women were not. Kinda rude.

The room was very big and very clean. We decided to stay here on a trip to the UP of Michigan. We have stayed at this Hotel multiple timea now. This is the hotel where we stayed when we got engaged just after they opened while on a casino trip. The only "negative" was no breakfast but the did have discount tickets for breakfast at some local restaurants.

The staff especially Crystal were rude I asked to speak to the manager and staff said will call me later, he never did Saw him today morning and he did ignored me I asked the staff to speak to him and the staff said he can hear you Manager was himself rude talking to me from behind the area and never showed me his face There was a smell in the room I believe from dirty carpet Bed was terrible, matter sunk deep and very uncomfortable Have us the key to the room at check in and the room wasn’t ready

Upon arrival we were greeted by the rudest staff member I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. She was rude, and told us they didn’t have our room ready to check into. It was 2pm and check in is at 4, that was our fault. She went on and on about not having a room even though we assured her several times that we would do some shopping and come back at 4. When we remarried at 4, another woman was at the counter and even more rude. She was mad that the first woman had put us into the computer. There is NO daily housekeeping unless you call the front desk by 9pm the night PRIOR. Do not expect continental breakfast, you can have coffee, tea and a granola bar. On our next to final night, even though it clearly says NO running in the halls, people were running back and forth all night long. The next morning my husband and I decided to check out a night early because of this noise all night. When we went to the front desk, the same second rude lady, from above, proceeded to inform me we wouldn’t receive a refund (we never asked for one), and when she asked how our stay was, I told her that this was the worst hotel we’ve ever been to. She just shrugged, kind of laughed, and said “Ok”.

The property was great and rooms very clean. The staff behind the counter at check in or asking questions were not friendly at all and acting like it was a huge chore to help you. Stayed there 3 days and all 3 people I dealt with had poor customer service. Also they didn’t have any kind of breakfast and barely had enough coffee.

Checking in the woman was rude because I was trying to explain they charged my card and she tried explain that it was just a hold - thankfully the man I talked to the day before was there and helped me finish checking in. I understand it was a holiday, but customer service wasn’t there…. I don’t expect to be right but I do want to be talked to appropriately.

Small motor inn style with nice exterior, adjacent parking, decent room and good shower, easy walk to downtown, and our favourite park/walk is across the street beside the lighthouse, overlooking the bridge. Everything you need in Mackinaw City.

Very quick check-in. Only a few minutes from downtown shopping, restaurants and ferry docks. About 7 minute drive to Headlands Dark Sky Park. Safe area, easy parking, could see the bridge from our room. Very cute cabin-y feel. Easy walk across the street to the beach and lighthouse.

We had multiple provlems with the key not unlockong the room. The TV required repair. Room located 1st floor. Very noisy upatairs neighbor. And NO breakfast. Says breakfast included on websites Staff says "there are things in there" The "things " were coffee complete with grounds and dry packaged breafast bars. Staff asked about hot breakfast. They say have not had any since Covid???. This is an excuse not a reason after 4 yrs Breakfast is offered by other hotels. In short it was an unpleasant experience. We will never ever stay at a Super 8 again. They are not Super

The hotel was decent - not a luxury property, but right across from the water, and clean. We paid a little more for a bridge view room & enjoyed the view. Giving a 3 star rating as the stay was to include breakfast. We arrived to learn that “breakfast” is coffee & granola bars. That’s it. No fruit, juice, yogurt… We were given a coupon for a restaurant where a simple stack of pancakes were $18. There’s a man in Mackinac city who has a bit of a racket going with ownership of several properties. Do yourself a favor & stay at the riviera if they have vacancy and eat at the Mackinac bakery. They have bacon egg & cheese sandwiches on a croissant for $7.

The hotel is right across from the Mackinac bridge and walkable to downtown and Sheplers ferry. However they advertised breakfast and that turned into a breakfast granola type bar. And they never clean the room or offer fresh towels.

Apparently they quit offering free breakfast during COVID and never resumed...no big deal, but there was supposed to be coffee available as well as granola bars...the coffee was empty, the girl at the desk was too busy watching a video too care, and the "granola" bar was some chocolate oatmeal muffin bar thay was high in sugar and low on nutritional content. Time to find a new favorite place to stay in Mackinaw.

The site advertised free breakfast and when we checked in we were told there is no breakfast. They gave us a buy one get one coupon for a couple of restaurants down the road which ended up costing us over $30 with this coupon. So much for “free”.

Not a bad hotel, but not exceptional either. Rooms are large. Location is good. Clean. They really need to post that there’s no breakfast. They provide Quaker chewy granola bars as the breakfast item. Weak. It’s time to return to giving service, not excuses.
