Arrived at 2:30 pm and was told to come back in 30 minutes. Came back and checked in. When i got to room key cards did not work. Walked back and got cards fixed. Went into room and seen curtain was broke. Got another room. Room was nice. When we went to use pool it was closed. In the morning we went to get are breakfast that was included with room to find out if was closed and not serving breakfast. I chose this hotel for the pool and breakfast. Very disappointing not only for me but my wife and daughter also. We was looking forward to swimming that evening. We was late to get on ferry cause we had to find a restaurant for breakfast. We got by and still enjoyed the rest of our trip.

Had a balcony with unacceptable carpet that was old, dirty and covered in old moss. All the balcony decks appeared that way. Pool was closed. Cheap fix that should be done immediately.

The front desk was friendly and helpful and I had an amazing view of Lake Huron! This location is in dire need of an update, however. The area where a continental breakfast was previously served was not operational, nor was the indoor pool.

Pool was filthy, hot tub was broke and sauna looked like an old morgue. Outside of building filthy and covered with bugs. Totally dissatisfied we left after one night. The view was night but the facilities had nothing that was offered and paid for. We were charged and extra night for leaving early due to their policy.

Balcony's need attention. New paint or stain needed. The balcony sliding door did not lock. Property buildings need power washed due to bugs stuck on the siding. looks dirty! Pool water looked green and cloudy. No continental breakfast. For as much as I paid for a two-night stay it was not worth it to me.

Pool was not cleaned at all. Towels were left in the pool room for well over 24 hours without being picked up. The hot tub was full of sand and also looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. The pool is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. The elevator quit working the first day and the same items on the floor the whole time. Just wasn’t want we were expecting from the pictures that were online. Now our room was clean the first shift worker was very friendly and helpful.

Overall a decent stay. We had a great lake view! Our sliding door worked and it had a working outside light. Our neighbors did not have either. I dont know if it was the humidity or what, but our carpet felt damp. Cobwebs here and there. The room was recently remodeled, could still smell the new wood wall planking that was used. The pool was ok, only one set of stairs though. The spa jets didnt work and the area for the spa wasnt lit. We decided not to use that. Despite quick in and outs, the midges got in. Parking is not the easiest set up. We werent told upon checking in that breakfast was not offered, just saw a sign that the breakfast room was closed when we walked up in the morning. The website said something about park passes? But they were not given or mentioned. Overall, worth it the cost for a lakeside view, otherwise not really.

Room size was great, felt bigger than your average hotel room. Also enjoyed the view from the balcony. For the negatives, immediately upon walking up to the room first impression was the door was covered in cobwebs and bugs. The shower curtain had mold all over the bottom of it. Shower head was so low that I felt like I needed to duck down to use it (for reference I’m 5 ft). Toilet struggled to flush. Overall was fine for one night but wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel was not clean clothing from previous people still in room. Dead bugs and hair in shower. Shower head was so low it only hit my shoulders I had to duck to wash my hair and I’m only 5’5”. Poor lighting outside unit. Broken handle in shower. Just overall Gross.

This property was disgusting. The rooms were smelly and hot. There was dirt IN one of the beds though we were told it was just cleaned. Dirt on comforter and towels. The carpet had many stains. The deck hasn’t been painted or cleaned in who knows how long - the chairs were filthy and bugs covered the area. This is also really far down from town. The only good thing was the person working. He was so nice.

This was the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. It was musty and everything in our room was damp the carpet was wet everywhere. Huge black hairs in the shower, spiders and bugs everywhere. Very dirty and all our towels smell like cigarettes and the pool is so cloudy and dirty you wouldn’t want to use it. As I was checking out letting the employee know how disgusting it was he said well did you call the front desk to let them know? No, I didn’t because it’s not worth getting moved to the next dumpy room.

Room was very dirty, was given another room and the previous guest dirty towels were still hanging behind the bathroom door. Balcony looked unsafe to walk out on and the chairs were too dirty to sit in.

There were cookie crumbs, plastic wrapper on the floor, no tissue box. The bathroom floor was very outdated and the room is dark. Just scary to use. Also the carpet in the room looked dirty.

Our TV wasn't working for 3 days! They had 3 different people come in to try and fix it, once while I was sleeping! Came back to our room after being out all day and it was on! Someone came in while we were gone and fixed it! Not a fan of that at all!

The staff was lacking. Not rude but not what you expect. No breakfast, no water park tickets. At checkout just told to drop keys on desk by staff at desk. No one thanked me for my stay. Lacked warmth overall. Room was ok but not great. Frig froze everything. Food left over from previous person. Bugs. Room next to us was ajar all 3 days of my stay. Door jam on that room visibly busted. Linen and other things visible. Possibly being used by housekeepers for storage. Concerned about rodents in that room. Phone in drawer not plugged in. No outlets near bedside table to charge my own phone. No do not disturb hang tag sign. Slider lock didn’t work just had pole, concerned door connecting rooms was not locked. Latch didn’t go into door jam.

We got to our room and the air conditioner was not working blowing out heat. They came and looked at it. And they got us a different room. The first room had a microwave. The second room did not. Like the patio and had a good view.

I love the view I had of the lake. The staff was wonderful when checking in and checking out. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. The only down side was there was no microwave to be able to heat up left overs from a restaurant or have popcorn but that’s the only thing that was inconvenient at the time. I loved that I could park close to my room which made it easier to unload my stuff and reload it when it was time to check out. Overall I will stay again in the future.

The view was lovely, although the beach had trash lying around. The property was not as advertised. First, the ad promised free breakfast but we were greeted with the news that there is none there. We were encouraged to go to a restaurant in town, but when pressed, they reluctantly admitted that we could get breakfast free at the Clarion 2 doors down. Not great. They also advertised free wifi. They even provided a password! But, there was no connection. "No internet" at all! If you need it for work, don't stay here. There was no shampoo, the screen door to the balcony was jammed and broken, and there were bugs plastered all over the walls outside. We definitely will not stay here again.

I have stayed in the past in the lake view rooms which were recently remodeled and beautiful. I assumed all were the same. Stayed in a room that was not lake view and it was not so pleasant. Things were dirty and needed updating. Very little soundproofing. The people upstairs were loud and could hear neighbors as well. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

The bottom step to the stairs was dry rotted and gave way on me, took a very big tumble. Manager of property was nowhere to be found. Stayed for 4 nights tried every day to contact him/her would never get back to me. The people at the check desk were no help either. Had to get a set towels for each day they would not trust me with no more than 2 towels at a time. Much better places to stay, this is why I don’t like to prepay for my rooms once they have your money, they are done with you and couldn't less about you.

I love the view I had of the lake. The staff was wonderful when checking in and checking out. The bed was comfortable to sleep on. The only down side was there was no microwave to be able to heat up left overs from a restaurant or have popcorn but that’s the only thing that was inconvenient at the time. I loved that I could park close to my room which made it easier to unload my stuff and reload it when it was time to check out. Overall I will stay again in the future.

Staff were not trained properly to give us appropriate information on room cleaning or check out and other instructions. Example we checked out at 6 am and the lobby was closed with phone number and after taking she said drop it to next door and there were no doors next door or any additional information. So we had return to our rooms to drop off our key.

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Mackinaw City and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I noticed bugs all around the room door and even inside the room itself, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The towels provided were dirty and did not appear freshly laundered. On top of that, the landline in the room was not working. When I called the front desk using my mobile phone to report these issues, the staff member on duty hung up on me, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Overall, the cleanliness, condition of the facilities, and quality of customer service were far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

We had a room with a view. We were there for just one night. Wish we would have stayed a few days more. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the water and the Mackinac bridge all lit up. The sunrise was breathtaking. They had fire pits available but we arrived too late to enjoy them. There is no breakfast but they give you a coupon for a hotel restaurant, buy 1 get 1 free. It is still pricey (for breakfast) with the coupon. Parking was an issue. There was limited space.

The location is in walking distance of many shops, activities and the Arnold ferry service which I highly recommended using if you are heading to Mackinac.The room was comfortable, linens were clean as was the bathroom. Do not rely on the breakfast. Coffee was hit and miss when available. Food items were minimal, prepackaged granola bars and muffins. It’s a shame the dining area was closed as this is a missed opportunity for the hotel. Remember this is right near the water so yes there are birds and bugs flying around. The fireworks on Saturday night was an unexpected surprise. I recommend : Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum. Being able to tour a retired Coast Guard ship was awesome. Go further north for even more places showcasing the Coast Guard! Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse Headlands International Dark Sky park Mackinac Island - you will need multiple days just for this The Hook restaurant in Mackinaw isn’t worth what you pay. The food was cooked good but all three meals at the table were under seasoned. Toast to go go has a decent breakfast buffet. Make sure to grab a coupon from the front desk for a buy one get one free. Murray Hotel on Makinac has a restaurant that has quick and delicious food. Their burritos are amazing. Take it to go and sit in the park and enjoy the atmosphere. A little further North to Penny’s Kitchen in Sault Ste Marie. They have a great breakfast!! While you are there visit some local shops, Soo Locks and even take a boat tour.

This property was not what was advertised on Expedia. It had the lake front and it also had additional rooms that were like a motel. I reserved a lakefront room and was assigned a non lane front room in the one story hotel with no lake view. We had to pay additional money to get the room we reserved. There was also not a breakfast available.

- the pool door had mold stains on it and it was extremely warm, way too warm to get inside - the door lock with the communicating room was not very trustable - the door to the room was full of dead bugs and spiders - finally no breakfast available (we had to elsewhere to get breakfast)
