The pool was closed, which was disappointing. They were under construction during our stay. They parking lot was overcrowded. We couldnt check into our room on time waited in hour. Oir room was dirt and in poor quality. The seal around the tub was falling off and moldy. The towls were stained and the room was filled with stains on the wall, ceiling, lampshades and ect.

We had a very nice stay at the Super 8 beachfront motel. Room was very nice. Swimming pool and hot tub were fantastic. The beach was fabulous.

The hotel was right one the water and that was nice. The hotel did have a pool but it was dirty and did not smell like a pool should. The website also said that there was laundry available - a self service coin operated laundry, but there is none on site. You have to go to the hotel next to them to use their services.

Not a bad place to sleep. Spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the quiet and beautiful view. Can walk to anything, just a small town. Fridge- no microwave. Had pool and hot tub, but saw no one in it. Breakfast was granola bar if you want. There's a couple breakfast joints nearby. Was not disappointed. It was one of the cheaper hotels around with beachfront and view. Would atay again. Bonus, we got fireworks from the balcony. August.

We are just leaving the Super 8 beach front hotel. Overall, I’d say our stay was good and the kids loved the beach. But the breakfast was ONLY granola bars…that’s it. Was surprised by that. We had 5 rooms in our group and some had broken AC, no microwave, kinda gross tubs and baths. I guess it’s what you come to expect in a budget Super 8 motel, but might be worth it to stay at the Best Western or Hamilton Suites next door. Parking was easy and appreciated the shuttle bus to Shepler’s right from the lobby

The front office staff were wonderful and the price was good...but that was it. The property needed a lot of maintenance. The online description was misleading. It said breakfast: ended up being a granola bar and coffee/hot chocolate. Online said guest laundry: we were able to use the motel's laundry next door, and neither location had quarters to use the machine. The blow dryer didn't work And we had to move it to a different outlet. The pool was nice and the hot tub was hot.

Run down hotel without any amenities. The only good thing is that it was on the beach. Our room had mold, the wallpaper was falling off the wall, the carpet was loose and baggy. This hotel needs major renovations. Their pool was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom

The carpet was wet when we checked into our room. The room didn’t smell good. The bedding seemed clean and the location is amazing but the inside and the outside of the building are dirty. The pool is moldy and water was murky. The hot tub was overly chlorinated and unpleasant to be in. Our bathroom had mold too and needed repairs. Will not recommend or stay here again. Better options at st Ignace for cheaper.

The location of this Super 8 is amazing but it is very dirty, out of date and the staff is not very friendly. A couple staff members were nice. The room was not clean when we arrived, the floor looked like it had not been vacuumed. The bathroom had a terrible smell. The balcony was scary to stand on because I was afraid it may fall. Will not stay here again. Should be updated or knocked down asap.

I recently stayed in this hotel, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. While the view from the room was stunning, the overall experience left much to be desired. Upon entering the room, I was immediately disappointed by the cleanliness. The room was very dirty, with visible dust on the furniture, the floor was extremely dirty, and the bathroom had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned. The toilet was in poor condition, with some parts broken, and there were several other maintenance issues, such as broken locks on the door and sliding glass door that didn’t seem secure. To add to the frustration, a few light bulbs were missing, which made the room feel dim and uninviting. It's the little things that make a difference, and the lack of attention to these details really stood out. On a positive note, the view from the room was fantastic. It provided a beautiful panorama of the of the lake, which was a definite highlight and almost made up for the room’s shortcomings. However, considering the price I paid, I expected a much cleaner and more functional space. Overall, while the view is worth mentioning, I can’t overlook the state of the room. I would not recommend staying here unless the hotel addresses the cleanliness and maintenance issues.

Floors were filthy, missing moldings around the room, chairs and table broken. The chair was wobbly! Crumbs and bundles of dust balls everywhere. Bathroom very outdated, falling apart. Bathtub was black encrusted, as was the flooring in bathroom. Balcony was very dirty and missing chunks of fake grass. Thank goodness just a one night stay!

I can only give a “decent” review because the placement of the hotel is great if you want to get to the beach and the check in lady was wonderful. Otherwise, this place is disgusting. Feet feel like they stick to the carpet, bugs everywhere, dirty, blood spot on one of our pillows, not the case, the pillow. Sliding door to deck doesn’t even fun on the track. Dirty napkins behind the nightstand by plug ins. Stained nasty bathroom floors. Rusty stained spots on towels. I mean it was, BAD! Don’t recommend even for those saying just do it for the price. Great price for a reason.

The hotel is outdated and dingy. The tv had sound but no picture. The faucet leaked. I got a phone call from another room at 8am asking me to fix their toilet because my number was the one given to them to call for maintenance. The beds were comfortable but for the price I wouldn’t go back.

This hotel definitely needs some very serious and necessary updating. There was mold on the walls in the shower. There were holes in the walls in the sink and bathroom area that were stuffed with toilet paper. Some of the wallpaper was peeling off. The tub drained very slowly. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was very loud. It didn’t have a cover over it so inside the ceiling was exposed, and you can see all the dust and cobwebs on the wires and surrounding the exhaust fan. The sliding screen door would not stay on the track and kept falling off, and the screen had holes in it and was also coming out of the frame. The patio door would not lock. The balcony was very soft underfoot and did not feel safe. The room had a slight musty smell to it. There were no fitted sheets on the beds just a mattress pad with a flat sheet over it that didn’t cover the whole mattress. There was not enough parking, not even in their overflow parking lot. When I asked the lady at the front desk, what I was supposed to do as far as parking I was told it would be ok to park in the handicap parking spot since no other parking was available. I was definitely not comfortable with that. The only positive was that our hotel was within walking distance to shopping, ferry docks and restaurants.

Walked out of the room and almost tripped on an air conditioner cover a worker left. Tube of sealant was laying in the middle of the stairs. The bathroom fan was terribly noisy. The wall paper was peeling and the bathroom tile was cracked. The walls are thin and the people walking up the stairs and outside the room sounded like they were inside the room. Parking lot was dirty. Don’t recommend except for the friendliness of the staff.

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and the view was amazing. Fireworks were awesome too. The bed did not have the right size sheets on it, but we made it work with out much issue. The phone didn’t work but that was not a big deal except that we had to go to the front desk of the Best Western at 2am because we couldn’t call. Remote for the tv didn’t work until we discovered there was an external device plugged in that you had to point the remote directly at. This was behind the tv stand and we had to dig it out. Shower water would either keep getting hotter until you couldn’t stand it (even when it was all the way on cold) or kept getting cold until you couldn’t stand it. The front desk attendant was extremely helpful every time we needed anything. Overall, a good trip despite the extremely minor inconveniences

There was no complimentary breakfast, only brownies oatmeal bar. The windows looked old, beddx to replaced. The floor lamps covers are broken, jusf hanging there. The tv is too small to watch while i was leaning against the bed wall. It needs a bigger tv in the bedroom. Im not coming back to this hotel.

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived an hour past check in time. Offered a waterfront room as an upgrade, and the bathroom was found to be in poor condition to the point we did not want to stay. When we approached the office staff and a manager, they were extremely rude and unapologetic. Any type of refund was refused, all that was offered was a move to the room originally reserved.

The front desk person contacted me and talked rudely that the credit card on file declined (I had just closed the credit card due to an attempted theft just 24 hrs ago). The room had a stench when we walked in. The carpets were sticky with stains all over. The bathroom does not have exhaust fan for ventilation. We were given the room on the first floor with no elevators (disability/senior access) while we were traveling with an elderly parent. The room service was not automatic but needed to be requested each day. Parking was an issue. We had to cut our trip short of 1.5 days with no refunds.

I was pleased with the access to the beach and all the shopping/dining in the area. Once we parked we didn't have to drive anywhere else until our final day. We stayed 2 days. Had hoped to stay on Mackinac Island but that is expensive and hard to book in late July. The Super 8 is a short walk to both ferry services so it was convenient to spend most of the day on the island. There are many restaurants and bars in the area. The beach is nice but the water too cold for us Floridians. The rooms open to the outside rather than a hall, which some people worry as a safety concern. Being on the first floor we didn't feel comfortable opening the drapes with so many people walking by. I would stay there again, though. Even with the ferry charge, it was much cheaper than staying on the island.

The Expedia listing said breakfast was included. When I asked about that at check in, I was told they just opened for the season that day and certainly didn't provide breakfast. I was offered a BOGO coupon for a nearby restaurant (which was of no use to a single traveler). I went to the restaurant the next day anyway and was told they only had a buffet, at $19.99/person. Certainly not included! I killed 4 large spiders in the room. The top sheet on the king bed was a queen sheet on sideways, so it came up to about my elbows. On the morning following my arrival, I notified the front desk staff I would be leaving after 2 nights (I would be charged for 2 nights regardless according to the form I signed at check in). I checked out the following morning and requested a refund for the remaining 3 nights that I had paid for upon arrival. I was told I had to get the refund through Expedia. I contacted Expedia the following day and the chat rep said since I paid the hotel, the refund would come from them. The Expedia rep called the hotel and was told the manager was not available (i.e., more runaround). I still have not received the refund. I'm probably going to have to challenge the charge through my credit card company. It was not a good experience.

We choose this property due to 3 beds. The floor was sinking. Curtains in the bathroom were moldy along with the bathtub and outside deck. We booked two night only stayed 1 night with no way to get a credit due to conditions. Told us Sorry 72 hour cancelation. Even the bottom sheet did not cover the bed. I told front desk said she would send someone up to remake the beds. Never happened. We ended up moving to another hotel that was amazing. Riveria Motel by bridge. SAVE your money this hotel full of spiders and the smell was unbearable and gave my daughter a headache. Oh and a granola bar was offered as their “breakfast”. What a joke. After this never staying at a Wyndham property. They should be embarrassed to have their name on this run down heap.

Our stay was for 3 days just to get away and relax and all was great except we didn't think to bring our bathing suits. After closing our own pool we didn't consider theirs would be open and from what we heard was great. The breakfast leaves a bit to be desired as granola bars and coffee is not a breakfast but I never rely on hotels to offer much.

Lots of bugs everywhere, balcony, entrance, by beach, spider webs in balcony, I duck feved all over beach, they need to clean thouroughky, in room no one came to check on Tv, it was reported, volume did not work, bathroom air blower in bath rowing so loud, tv very loud, , Nooo breakfast, office not open from 11-7 in am, had to ask fir coffee, we got by,,, but if clean a little mirr thouroughly, may get rude if intense bugs, ..

Over all the place was ok. It’s not top of the line yet it wasn’t bad. The view was great sits right on the beaches. The rooms could have been a little cleaner but was far from gross. I would stay here again. The room we stayed in had 3 queen beds and was very spacious. Breakfast was coffee and a granola bar! Lol
