Days Inn by Wyndham Mankato

The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and quiet. The pool and hot tub were nice. I’d have rather had pump soap for sink and shower rather than bars and tiny bottles. Especially irritating was when I had to sign a paper about my dog. I couldn’t leave her in the room by herself. I was traveling with 2 children, ages 7 & 8. How could we go to the pool or breakfast without leaving the dog alone? If this clause had been mentioned before I reserved the room, I wouldn’t have reserved it. Plus, if my dog was loud and destructive, I would have boarded her near home instead of taking her with us.

We booked a night here after a family reunion because it had a pool and it was near our reunion site. The pool was FREEZING and we had many pretty upset kiddos. The front desk staff told us it wasn't a heated pool and the outdoor temp dictates how warm the pool is.... Our room would have been fine except it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, gross. The overnight rate was obscenely expensive (almost $200/night) for very limited amenities gross room freezing pool. The continental breakfast was a perk. Will not stay again.

I checked in with a large suitcase and a few other bags. I was on the second floor, and they do not have an elevator, so I had to lug my huge suitcase and other bags up the stairs by myself. No one offered to help me. The pool area was kind of gross. Full of water scale and rotting baseboards. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very very small. There were no dressers in the room, but for me that didn't really matter. Breakfast was mediocre at best. They had a make your own waffle, hard boiled eggs and some muffin type stuff. That was it. It was a nice stay, but it seems like it needs some updates for sure.

If we had known the place was under renovation, we never would have stayed. The in-room updates were nice but the presence of broken furniture in the 1st floor hallway off the entrance & the guys at the entrance hosing down the trash can was just gross. The room smelled & the pool was over chlorinated & cold. The lady sleeping in the lobby when we left this morning capped off a less than stellar stay. And the price was OVERINFLATED. If we'd been able to cancel without a penalty, we wouldve turned right around & left

The facilities were in good condition, the service was friendly. The bad thing was that the pool water was too cold.

Staff was not friendly or efficient. Ladders into pool were not great.

Generally clean. (But it was kind of funky on the wall under sink next to the garbage can.) Beds very comfortable. Back door was not secured on building.

Property was being remodeled during our stay

The hotel was being renovated and had no rooms on first floor. Only had stairs, no elevator.

We stayed here for a baseball tournament. It was unusually hot that weekend so the first night our room was warm but tolerable. The AC machine is very loud and on most of the night just to keep the room a comfortable temperature. However, we kept it at 62 for the whole day with shades drawn and when we came back it was at least 85 degrees in the room. There was an excessive heat warning outside and it was cooler outside than in the room and the hallway was DRASTICALLY cooler. As we were with a baseball team I went to multiple other rooms and they were all cooler to nice and cold. I went to the front desk to talk to them about this and try to get a different room. They said they were sold out. I explained it is very hot and not able to stay in it. The owner was extremely dismissive stating it's hot out (despite multiple other rooms not being hot) and our room faces the sun (again shades drawn all day). He clearly couldn't care less. We left and found a different hotel. No attempt was made to even try to look at the A/C unit. The side doors would stay ajar unless pulled shut so pretty unsafe especially if you have a family. The breakfast was reminiscent of a typical continental breakfasts with an added waffle griddle. No protein except peanut butter and boiled eggs. Not as advertised at all. Pictures are deceiving (photographer earned their pay!). Black mold in pool area, very run down in much of the hotel, old OLD building so it’s not sealed well.

Love the improvements. Very clean and neat. New TV, paint, floors and bathrooms from a year ago.

Blood stained sheets

The room had a very nasty, musty odor. Had trouble sleeping it was so bad. Had to wash everything when i returned home including clothes i had not worn and luggage because the smell remained on everything. Needs updating badly. Staff was very nice, pleasant and eady to work with. They should be commended for a job well done.

The price was right and it was clean

Double charged me and still fighting to get a return, construction in the waiting room, bathroom tub filthy.

The rooms smelt like really old smoke. There was no smoking but it is clear it was old smoke.

Bed was comfortable and the room was very clean

When we walked into the hotel our eyes immediately started burning and we couldn't breathe. They had been mopping the whole place, even the rooms, with undiluted fabuloso. We tried to stay in the room but the air quality was so bad that we had to leave. The good news is that we got a full refund before booking at another property. Don't stay here if you are allergic to fragrances.

The room was spotless and freshly renovated. I love hard floors. One can never know if carpets are clean enough.

The property is in dier need of updates! The shower sticks way out from the wall, there was hair in the tub, the TV was tiny and the a/c wouldnt work right so the room fel cool but humid!! The refrigerator was a great size but froze all we had!! Would never have paid that much for that place!

This was our second stay in 6 months at this hotel. Room was clean and quiet. The king bed was comfortable. We will stay here again if we come back to Mankato.

They could not find the reservation. I showed them the receipt on my phone, but they said they didn't have it, so I had to pay for the room again and it was more expensive. I paid for the room twice, so I will be needing a refund. I don't know if the problem was on their end or your end. The lady at the front desk tried to give us someone else's reservation because both of our names were Amy. Totally different last name. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable.

Expedia did not ouch through our reservation to the hotel, so we didn’t have a room reserved. Luckily they had one room left.

Made the reservation ahead of time and once arrived at hotel they required a huge deposit just for one night. This deposit was never mentioned when reserving the room

Bought the room and they wouldnt let me get my room without a cash “destruction fee” so i ended up wasting 90 dollars on a room i couldnt stay in. Terrible staff treatment towards me

I love staying there. This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in a while. The gentleman at the front desk was awesome. They were very friendly and all my questions was answered. I would definitely be staying there again.

Someone tried to open our room in the middle of the night. I wasnt impressed with the customer service, the front desk receptionist had her children with her and they were very loud and roudy. I wasnt aware of this till check in, but they require a breakage deposit, and i had to pay this on top of the room rate. It would've been nice to know this ahead of time.

Very low-end experience overall. Whoever took the photos for this place deserves an award—they made it look nothing like what it actually is. The staff were rude and defensive from the moment we arrived, even overheard them being the same way with other guests. The room and amenities were far below what you’d expect for the price we paid—completely unacceptable. Save yourself the headache: keep driving and do not stop here. Absolutely not worth it.

Great place to stay that is convenient location

We purchased a drive a tank experience, looked at so many hotels. This was reasonably priced and not far from where we needed to be. Awesome customer service when checking in. We booked 2 rooms, they accommodated what we wanted, asked preferences, and upgraded our king room to a king suite. Great low key breakfast, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms.

Affordable and easy travel to downtown.

The pond view was plesant and convenient to a gas station and restaurants. The hotel staff was very rude. Many hotel feaures were broken and very outadated.

The location is convenient and a nearby walking path is a bonus.

I liked your breakfasts, closeness to Hiniker Pond, and the ease to get around Southern Minnesota. Your bathroom was nicely done.

I have stayed here many times, it's clean, staff is friendly, and near lots of places to go.

Quiet air conditioner. No yogurt or apples.

It was cheap, so that was good. Very limited breakfast. The hallway smells like pickles. There were only 5 cars in the parking lot on a Friday night, so it was quiet.

They advertise free breakfast. The coffee machine was broken and they had no backup. No coffee in the rooms either.

A better variety of breakfast would be nice.

Hair dryer broke , apple juice was beyond prime, o.j. was not real. Very quiet, clean, good parking
