Decent place, however the pool was out of Order and the breakfast wasn’t being restocked well on Saturday. When requested The staff also Didn’t address the loud visitors at 10pm that ran up and down the hall screaming. The outside area near the old marina would benefit from clean up. The beach had so much animal poop you could not really walk on it.

Still under repairs from hurricane but lobby and our room in very good condition. The pool wasnt open yet waiting on sign off from some one? Would love to see some comphy seating out on lawn looking over at marina and the river so you could just chill! The Outback restaurant walk thru parking to get ti was a real nice convenience

Marina sign needs removing as there is no longer a marina. It was good to see cleanup happening at rear of building from old docks. The beverage vending machine near the breakfast area needs restocking. More handicap parking spaces are needed. Years ago, this hotel was a great place. It can be again. Housekeeping is probably the best service provided. The employees are so friendly.

Room was average and clean, day time staff much nicer than nighttime staff,very few tv channels, pool was not operational due to county inspections, and free breakfast tasted good but not much variety.

*DON’T STAY AT THIS HOTEL.* Check In didn’t feel safe. Front desk was asking for my personal information which was within earshot of other guests, as front desk is also positioned right @ the front door. I told the clerk I wasn’t comfortable broadcasting my information & she looked annoyed. Hotel room was disgusting. Bathroom was not clean. Housekeeping came to room to clean & when they left it still wasn’t clean. Toilet seat not clean & hair on bathtub. All furniture & lamps were covered in a thick layer of dust. Pulled out office chair from under desk & it was covered in what appeared to be bodily fluids. White pillowcases on the bed had black stuff on them. I was in the room a total of 30 mins & went downstairs to check out. Told the desk clerk why & that I wanted a refund. She refused. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location was easy to find and check in was quick. When we entered the room, there was an overwhelming smell of greasy food. There was loud music that lasted till about 8:30pm and not sure if the sheets and blanket had been cleaned as there was a blood spot on the blanket when we turned down the sheets for bed. Overall not an awful place, but for the price I would expect the room to at least be clean. Will not be staying there again.

There were roaches in my room. The facility is tired but has nice water views. Nice staff- comfortable beds. Has frig, ice machine and nice staff. Couldn’t get past the roaches. I stayed there before without that issue.

The entire 3rd floor where we were put smelled strongly of mold. The room was incredibly humid. The bed and other furniture had a layer of moisture on it making everything feel wet and uncomfortable. It was incredibly disgusting. We ended up having to switch hotels, not just for comfort but for health reasons. Add to that the ridiculous no refund policy by the hotels.com website, the entire situation was absolutely insane and has ensured that I will never book through this site again.

MOLD. BLOOD. Our room was covered in mold and there was blood on the comforter. NOT blood stains that have been washed, actual fresh blood on blanket. There was hair and dirt all over the bathroom. We had to book another hotel because of how sick the mold was making me after just 12 hours in the room. I was waking up with coughing fits and my husband couldn’t breathe. Do not stay here.

The first run I was in had a smell like it was recently flooded or something. I woke up the next morning and turned the light on and there were roaches scattered across the night stand next to the bed. I would have moved hotels but it was MumFest so all hotels were booked. They moved me to another hotel room which was better but I couldn’t sleep knowing it was roaches crawling around in the there.

There was a noisy dog on second floor. Odd wig hair appeared in my sheets. Otherwise, the room and facilities were satisfactory for cleanliness. The staff were pleasant. Internet was horrible, even after a reset. A shuttle would be beneficial, especially for those needing rides to and from the airport.

Very Friendly staff, check in was so easy. Hotel was clean and the room was great. Comfy bed and I loved all the pillows. Great location as well. Just drive over the bridge or walk over the bridge to downtown New Bern. I loved the view as well with all the boats in the river. I will stay here again for sure.

Most staff were helpful & polite, but the sole person at the check-in desk was utterly & thoroughly incompetent. To have someone so ill-suited to the work is not the fault of the individual; only a completely disinterested senior management would place 1 person, alone & without resources in such a position. Moreover, this was on a Saturday -- the busiest night in any hotel. It took this helpless (in every way) man 75 minutes to check-in 3 guests. It continued at that rate for 3 hours. Room was clean & completely functional, but dingy with the signs of a property that has seen its best days.

I was told if i wanted to extend my stay, just book it on line so i wouldn't have to check out and check back in. I did as I was instructed and then called the front desk 3 time at 9:38am at 11:45am, I get a knock on my door telling me I needed to go downstairs, I asked for what and was told to talk to the front desk clerk about extending my stay. I had to go downstairs and other than taking my clothes, I had to put another deposit, show my ID ect... ultimately checked out and had to check back in, including another deposit. Also the front clerk was not helpful and rude, to the point that she had to get a manager. Unfortunately, all of that could've been avoided with a proper attitude and a smile.

Short story: the front desk went to extraordinary efforts to check me on when I reserved the wrong day in Expedia and could not change it in the app. Long story:I booked the wrong day in Expedia and could not change it in the application. The front desk could not change it because it came from Expedia. As I was trying to contact a real person at Expedia, the lady at the front desk reached out to their internal IT to get it manually changed. The process took a long time and many steps, while my attempt to call Expedia failed, she succeeded. I'm very thankful for what she did

I arrived at 2:55. The facility had been fully booked for the weekend. There were no rooms available for me for my 3 o’clock check-in. The front desk staff was not supportive of my need to get into my room. I was very disappointed. When I pushed to have a room available there was one ready in about 15 minutes.

This property is away from downtown but so close you can just walk over the bridge and not worry about driving or parking and when you go back, it’s just a peaceful beautiful property.

What sets this property apart from the others at this price point is their breakfast. There is actually cooked food items besides fresh fruit and hot coffee. Plus English Muffins instead of bagels for the win! Rooms are comfortable and clean too!

Property is average but in a great location. I was disappointed because breakfast ends at 9am during the week. I was there on a Thursday and was disappointed when I went down at 9am for breakfast and they were already closed. Otherwise, the stay was average.

The hotel was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet didn’t work right and there wasn’t a full complement of supplies upon check in. This problem was subsequently rectified by housekeeping. Breakfast ends at 9:00am sharp and if you think you can go to breakfast at 8:50 and linger for 20-25 minutes, you will be out of luck. They close the breakfast room precisely at 9:00am. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Check-in was excellent. The night staff was very courteous, and they really helped direct us to the evening events. The room was generally good. The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable (could feel some springs poking through), and general lack of power outlets. The morning breakfast was a fail. (I heard something about some staff quitting, so maybe this was unusual.) This was a holiday, so they needed to expect high traffic. There was no coffee, no eggs, no waffles, no milk. I notified the front desk and they said "well - it was free" meaning we shouldn't expect to receive it as part of our stay or something. After 45 minutes they did start refilling the chaffing dishes and coffee, but I would not call that a success. Anyway - overall the stay was good. I used to stay at this location frequently, and I always had a good experience. Another guest told me that the breakfast situation was unusual, so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, the morning breakfast service and the response from the management at the front desk was not up to par.

Good location. Easy check-in. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Clean room and bathroom. Room covered all of our needs. Free hot breakfast had a good selection of items and stayed open an hour later on weekend days. Much cheaper than other waterfront hotels in the area. Good value for the money.

Seems the construction is done or mostly so. Quiet during my stay. Room was updated and clean, comfortable. Breakfast was a joke, usual cheap processed fake foods, bad coffee. But it is one of the better deals in the area. Always a trade off. Decent stay for the $.
