This hotel is a little tired; worn carpet, could use some updating. But the location is terrific! Almost surrounded by water. We watched a storm come in, then enjoyed a beautiful rainbow. The free breakfast was good with wonderful sausages. We were there mid week so it was very quiet.

Upon arrival I realized that the hotel pictures were outdated and need to adequately represent the current condition of the hotel. Needless to say to say that this property is outdated and badly in need of a refresh. The room was clean and I didn’t see any bug or other critters, I was not comfortable in the room. The security chain on the door was rusted and looked fragile. The AC worked overtime to cool the room down but sometime during the night I had to get up and try to get more cold air in the room because it was stifling. Breakfast, included in the cost of the room, consisted of toast, cereal, undercooked eggs and waffles. It was not pleasant. The staff of this hotel was the only bright spots of my stay - from the young man who checked me in and his peer who looked up the address for the nearest Walmart, to the maintenance guy and cleaners. The staff should be highly praised for their hospitality and customer service skills. Well done! Not a great tat but not the worst one I have had either.
