This was not what we expected at all. It was a motel experience. Limited parking. It was a motel not a hotel. There was people living in the upper park of the “hotel”. Customer service was very short and disconnected.

not as bad as the other reviews state. rooms are old and not renovated but beds are comfortable . cheap shuttle to new york is a plus as well as free parking. but overall would not recommend if other options are available.

Breakfast included is "To Go" not continental breakfast. "To Go Breakfast" consists of a paper bag with contents of these 3 items: 1) a 10 oz Tropicanna orange juice (room temperature), 2) Uncle Wally's Muffins (twin pack chocolate chip or blueberry - although option wasn't asked) & 3) Nature Valley Fruit & Nut Granola Bar. No ice available. Most hotels that do this type of breakfast have it noted within their general information. Decently clean (actually under black light, it was better than a lot of even upscale hotels). Retro style. Our room had tile floor which is preferred but other people with out party had carpeting.

The facilities were in a state of disrepair. The room was filthy, with sheets that were dirty and a television that looked like it had been neglected for years, covered in dirt and grime. The bathroom was rusty and neglected as well. For breakfast, we were served a juice and a granola bar, which we had to collect from the lobby.

Everything great but elevator was tore up and had us on 3rd floor and didnt see a full lot of guest and told had handicap and had difficulty getting to room all the way at end so stairs and then whole walk to end.

Never in my life have I had to leave a hotel before my scheduled stay ended until staying here. Grimy sticky stained brown carpets. We never took our shoes off. Mould around the bathtub. The final straw was seeing a cockroach walk across our bed. We took photographs of everything and sent it to Expedia, who helped us get a refund and gave us complimentary rewards points. Save yourself the horror and book next door at the Quality Suites. That's where we stayed for the remainder of our trip.

Do not stay here. The room was dirty/dingy, smelled of smoke, and there were bugs. Leaking AC unit, swollen ceiling tiles, dirty tub. Pretty sure one of the lamp shades had a blood stain on it. There were people loitering in the parking lot-all rooms have windows that face directly out into the lot, people can look in when they pass. The room next to me had three people come in and leave in the span of a hour. I left almost immediately and booked another room.

Worst hotel I ever seen. My rating for this place would be zero if I had the option. Hallways smelled like urine and as soon as we walked in the room, we seen 2 big roaches, we stomped them and walked right back out. There was also old powder roach poison on the top edge of the bed frame. I refuse to stay in this unsanitary and disgusting room so we tried getting our money back and the request was decline. Do not stay here!

Let me just start off with the room was terrible. Building feels like it’s going to fall down under your feet. Staff has a horrible attitude. I went in my room to start dropped off my stuff and went out to Hoboken for the night. Came back to go to bed and checked under the mattress like everyone does. Come to find out there is rat feces all under the mattress and blood stains on the covers. What I would presume to be symptoms of bed bugs. When I went down to ask for a refund because I now had to sleep in my car. The manager Christian told me he couldn’t refund me and I would have to “deal with it”. At the end of the day a horrible place to stay. I now have to cancel the charge on my card.

There is no such a call breakfast. One bottle of orange juice and two small muffin. Handover to me when I ask for the breakfast. Small roaches in the room and the housekeeper leave the door open. When I came nighttime I found my door was main door was open. I went to the front desk. I brought a guy to show him. I was so scared. I thought somebody inside.

The beds were the only good thing in our room, they were comfy but the rest of the room was poorly. There were holes/rips in the curtains, the remote was not only missing a piece of plastic from it like a hole in the remote but it only turned on the tv couldn't change the channel or the volume. The lamp shades were also stained and dirty.

I’ve never left a negative review before, but I felt compelled to share that you should consider almost any location before this. The room itself wasn’t too bad, it was clean but very dated and lots of damage in the room, along with a handful of bugs. The hallways were very dirty and smelled of urine when walking outside. While nothing happened to us, it felt very unsafe.

Terrible im homeless so i was placed at the howard Johnson i understand that its a business but where is the compassion these days my vochure ran out so i had to pay cash .I did pay and every day they harassed me knowing my situation just no compassion at all

When I arrived, was given my room key which I had made the reservation for already prior. Went to the room and there were 3 big black trash bags in front of it and there was also already a guest in it. The next room I was provided had hair all over the bathroom. Very disappointed for the amount I paid.

What a dump. A night i very much want to forget forever. Ive stayed in some sketchy motels ... this one takes the cake. From a bad attitude from the guy who checked me in to a crappy SMOKING room that i then had to get moved out of ... just bad on every level.

The hotel is situated near to NJ Transit bus stations from where you can travel to different tourist spots, good for people who want to park their vehicle and travel by public transport. Not a great place when you are looking for facilities in the room
