A 200 metre walk to the north end of Zicatela beach and the 1km strip of good hotels, bars and restaurants. The rooftop terrace is fantastic with a good variety of up to date furnishings and a lovely view of the sea. Excellent bar service.

Great location, vintage charm, friendly staff and excellent food all made our stay at HFdM a pleasure. The rooftop deck with hammocks and pool were as advertised - and a delight. I spent my birthday in a hammock looking out at the sea.

The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bed linens were changed twice in our five day stay. Everyone on staff cheerful and helpful, and the pool and bar area had the fabulous Vladimir extending to our libations.

The room we were in was in poor condition. Windows would not close, shabby unwelcoming depressing room needs upgrading. Beds were very comfortable and appreciated. Room Towels were old and ripped on the edges. Definitely need new towels. Definitely downgraded sine I last stayed there 7 years ago Deck top pool was lovely. Disappointed in the ambience of what I had remembered. Office staff welcoming and kind.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and perfectly located. It is a 15 minute walk from the bus station, right at the entrance of Zicatella and a 2 minute walk from the beach. The showers can use a bit of a facelift but otherwise our stay was perfect, so much so we immediately booked an additional night.

This is a very basic hotel, more like an American motel. Good: staff are friendly. Very close to beach. Bad: very old room, bathroom is horrid, very old with very little water pressure. No hair dryer. No AC and room is often hot at night. Water at beach is not that clean, there is a run-off that’s dirty about 300m away. Ugly: twice had no water in morning and had to wait. Towels taken when room cleaned in morning and no towels until about 7 pm (happened twice). Wi-Fi is very intermittent, crap to use and not reliable. I would never stay her again. If you do, don’t pay more than u$60/night. Really look elsewhere.

Ma première chambre, confort studio one queen bed, n'etait pas particulièrement propre, ni confortable. La douche avait quelques minuscules jets d'eau froide, les fenêtres n'ont pas de panneaux, de rideaux ou de vitres. La chambre est donc très claire et bruyante. La fenêtre donne sur le secteur où les employés étendre les draps. Pas d'air climatisé, les ventilateurs sont très bruyants, le lavabo coule mal, la de la.dalle de bain est proche de brisée. La porte d'entré n'a pas de lock de securité et elle aussi semble peu solide. J'ai demandé a changer de chambre dès le lendemain. Ce que j'ai pu faire sans problème, le personnel est vraiment super. Ma deuxième chambre était parfaite, propre avec un vrai balcon, l'air climatisé et une meilleure salle de bain. Aucun bruit si ce n'est les autres clients et les employés qui peuvent parler très fort ou mettre de la musique. Sinon,.je dirais un peu cher pour le rapport qualité/prix. L'hôtel commence à donner des signes de son âge. Nourriture correct. Super services du personnel. Un gros plus.

The property is in a very good area, it have few beautiful beaches 7 minutes away, very easy to get to those places. Also Zicatela and Punta Zicatela it's only 15 minutes far from the hotel. The only bad thing about the room I booked was the water pressure in the shower. You can take a shower but it's a bit annoying that water hasn't good pressure, other than that the property is great.

En general el hotel es bueno, la cama súper cómoda, el descanso se facilita con el poco ruido y la naturaleza que lo rodea. Solo tengo dos recomendaciones: 1. El servicio del bar que es proporcionado por un hombre de anteojos es MALÍSIMO, es poco servicial y sus bebidas son malas. Creo que pueden mejorar ese punto ya que es algo que muchos de los huéspedes esperamos.. un buen servicio. 2. La habitación tenía un pequeño patio súper agusto, sin embargo no tenía iluminación por las noches, deberían de poner lámparas para poder disfrutar más ese espacio.
En general el hotel es bueno, la cama súper cómoda, el descanso se facilita con el poco ruido y la naturaleza que lo rodea. Solo tengo dos recomendaciones: 1. El servicio del bar que es proporcionado por un hombre de anteojos es MALÍSIMO, es poco servicial y sus bebidas son malas. Creo que pueden mejorar ese punto ya que es algo que muchos de los huéspedes esperamos.. un buen servicio. 2. Tuve una buena experiencia porque llevaba coche, hay que tomar en cuenta que aunque la salida a la playa está cerca la playa que queda más cercana no es muy turística. Fuera de eso la verdad es que el hotel es bastante bueno y no dudaría en quedarme nuevamente aquí, el personal super atento, las habitaciones decentes, la pileta y terraza están muy bien para pasar una noche tranqui con los amix, solo que cierra a las 9pm, ojo con eso.
Tuve una buena experiencia porque llevaba coche, hay que tomar en cuenta que aunque la salida a la playa está cerca la playa que queda más cercana no es muy turística. Fuera de eso la verdad es que el hotel es bastante bueno y no dudaría en quedarme nuevamente aquí, el personal super atento, las habitaciones decentes, la pileta y terraza están muy bien para pasar una noche tranqui con los amix, solo que cierra a las 9pm, ojo con eso.

This property was exactly what I was looking for such as decent, affordable, and accessible to the beach. I booked a room with 2 beds. Everyday the room was cleaned and ready to go. I also want to point out if the owner sees this review that their employee female named Yessi is such an amazing person! She’s so amable, sweet, and very responsive. She is the reason why I would go back and book my stay here. She needs to move up in position because she is the face of this hotel. The beds do need better pillows. We also encounter a problem with our breakfast and the team room are of it right away and made sure we were satisfied. Overall, this hotel is 2 min from marinero beach, and it has a beautiful decor. I would definitely come back here in the future. Thank you Yessi and Toño.

Nice location close to the beach. Easy to get into town. Property is fantastic and the roof terrace and pool are a welcomed. The team are lovely and helpful! Would stay here again.

Really great find in puerto escondido, at the opposite end to La Punta so much quieter (which worked for us!). For the price this is really exceptional - great size rooms, beautiful colours, delicious food, plus cute cats living here if you like! But the cherry on top is the roof terrace with a pool and hammocks, gorgeous for watching sunset, eating lunch and great iced coffees. My only suggestion would be for the sun beds to be reserved for hotel guests until after lunchtime - and maybe to add a few more. Otherwise perfect!

Remembering the price you’re paying for a room- the hotel hits all good marks. The staff, particularly young female at front desk, very friendly. The rooftop pool is warm and has great views of ocean - very cool to have this- has a bar with small snack menu. The location of hotel has positive- short walk to beach, and short walks to restaurants on the beach. And negative- area needs some cleanup done. Hotel rooms are very basic($-remember price). No TV, no phones,no AC. Shower was definitely hot but shower head was poor. Room 24- be aware- you can see into the shower from hallway- wasn’t happy about that( and room 25)- that needs attention asap !! Could use more detail cleaning of common areas and fixing items in rooms like drawers and closet doors. All in all - happy with hotel and proximity to beach- which is main reason for choosing. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again- bargain for money

A 200 metre walk to the north end of Zicatela beach and the 1km strip of good hotels, bars and restaurants. The rooftop terrace is fantastic with a good variety of up to date furnishings and a lovely view of the sea. Excellent bar service.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and perfectly located. It is a 15 minute walk from the bus station, right at the entrance of Zicatella and a 2 minute walk from the beach. The showers can use a bit of a facelift but otherwise our stay was perfect, so much so we immediately booked an additional night.

Tuve una buena experiencia porque llevaba coche, hay que tomar en cuenta que aunque la salida a la playa está cerca la playa que queda más cercana no es muy turística. Fuera de eso la verdad es que el hotel es bastante bueno y no dudaría en quedarme nuevamente aquí, el personal super atento, las habitaciones decentes, la pileta y terraza están muy bien para pasar una noche tranqui con los amix, solo que cierra a las 9pm, ojo con eso.

En general el hotel es bueno, la cama súper cómoda, el descanso se facilita con el poco ruido y la naturaleza que lo rodea. Solo tengo dos recomendaciones: 1. El servicio del bar que es proporcionado por un hombre de anteojos es MALÍSIMO, es poco servicial y sus bebidas son malas. Creo que pueden mejorar ese punto ya que es algo que muchos de los huéspedes esperamos.. un buen servicio. 2. La habitación tenía un pequeño patio súper agusto, sin embargo no tenía iluminación por las noches, deberían de poner lámparas para poder disfrutar más ese espacio.

Really great find in puerto escondido, at the opposite end to La Punta so much quieter (which worked for us!). For the price this is really exceptional - great size rooms, beautiful colours, delicious food, plus cute cats living here if you like! We had a fabulous stay, the rooftop pool was a delight and the beds were very comfortable! The food for both breakfast and the pool bar were a surprising delight - the freshest guac and fun cocktails too! Super close to the beach for nice walks as well and the cats were arorable!
