Saddle West Casino Hotel

This would be a nice Hotel with a renovation it’s very old rooms stink of dirty carpet bed needs a new mattress no refrigerator or microwave plug didn’t work next to the bed. Ice machine broken near our room. Dead rat on the lawn which we reported and wasn’t removed besides those things it was ok

Rooms were not attached to the casino, liked the outside feeling. Pool was clean. Easy accessible ice machine. Beds were comfortable and the AC unit worked well. All rooms could use a refrigerator/microwave. Will be our go to location when we’re in Pahrump. We would recommend this resort.

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights over Thanksgiving, due to its proximity to Death Valley national park. We enjoyed the hot tub and the breakfast quite a bit. The staff was very friendly. I wish they had better bedding options, such as a comforter instead a single synthetic blanket! Also a microwave & fridge would be good to have!

It was really nice. staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice as well.

The theme was interesting. Pool was freezing.

It was so quite and peaceful. We had the pool to ourselves.

Overall the Saddle West was fine. When you first enter the casino it reeks of cigarette smoke so that wasn't pleasant. The check-in process was fine although a friend did have a bit of an issue where they claimed his card CSV number was incorrect (it was not) and they took on a bit of an attitude. The room was fine. My biggest complaint was the lack of outlets to charge my devices. There was one by the sink and one behind the bed (which getting to was a problem). In today's world, this IMO isn't acceptable. There should be easy access to an outlet by the bed. And speaking of the bed, while it wasn't uncomfortable, it was definitely on the old side and someone needing a firmer mattress may have problems. I stayed for two nights, the second night I used the buffet. The food was good and the wait staff friendly. Everything about the place was ok, nothing specially but fine for a location to return to for a night sleep.

The property was well taken care of and there was staff members out on the grounds after hours to be sure we remained safe and peaceful!

The room was nice and clean and we had excellent quick service. The only feedback we have is that the towels were small and a little scratchy.

The rooms have bed bugs. I advised front desk and they did not seem to care nor try to remediate the situation.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and AC heated and cooled properly. For some unknown reason, the room was very humid but the room did not have a damp smell, which I would've noticed. Our entry door needed some work on the hinges, had to lift the door open/close and push very hard. Front desk said they'd tell maintenance. The grounds are well kept, with lots of nice landscaping.

This place has gone drastically down hill over the few years. We have been staying here every year around October for an annual event we attend. This year will be our last. After we checked in there was very little toilet paper on the roll with no spare in the bathroom. No shampoo and/or conditioner. The next morning when we were heading out for the day we called and asked for toilet paper and fresh towels. We got back in the evening, none was left. NO ONE AT THE DESK TO HELP AFTER 9pm. The next morning we left for coffee and asked again, none put in the room for us. Room also smelled like cigarettes. Even though we requested non smoking. Very Poor service! But as we were getting ready to leave they were quick to call us a few minutes after checkout time to ask us if we were getting ready to leave. We CAN NOT RECOMMEND Saddlewest and won’t be coming again!!

As soon as we stepped in our room we went to the restroom and there was a bed bug on the wall. We killed it but didn’t see anymore. Other than that it was a decent bed and ac was good. Did find a few hairs in the bed while looking for bugs.

Front desk lady took forever to check us in..we waited 45 minutes..staff was rude except our waitress in the restaurant..room was dirty found hair in the toilet and bathroom floor..carpets were flithy..i couldn't walk on them without my shoes..

So many crickets inside the room. I was killing about 5 per day and they are very loud. Some kind of huge (living) slug the size of a jumbo shrimp that I had to scoop up and put in the toilet. Pity. Otherwise it was a nice room.

The place looks nice online but totally different in person, we couldnt sleep at night because there was alot of crickets in the room and in the beds, the crawl out at night from places around the edges of the wall , there was black spiders as well we found 4. My son was scared to sleep in his bed.

This property is older but clean. The room was very basic with older furniture and carpeting. There was no fridge or microwave. The only amenity provided was bar soap. However, as we arrived later and left early it suited our needs for one night.

Beds were comfortable and room was clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet twice and the chef salad was great.

This hotel is not as nice as the Pahrum Nugget, which is also in its price range. The rooms are dimmer and the shower is closer to what you'd find at a Motel 6. And the carpet is old and needs to be replaced. Other things: 1. Unlike other hotels, you can keep your firearms with you in your room, unloaded of course. 2. There was plenty of parking close to your room so you didn't have to go far. 3. My Wifi performance was very good the entire stay. 4. They have a full sized work table for my laptop and accessories and plenty of outlets close to it. 5. They don't have any outlets close to the bed so if you want to charge your phone and have it close, you can't do that. 6. My heater sounded like a train engine so I left it off.

Overall, a decent place at a good rate. The room was very clean, but bare bones. Brings shampoo and conditioner since the room doesn’t have any.

The walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. I had a first floor room and the floor was so creaky and LOUD. It was like nothing I've ever heard before.

Incredibly hard to find the entrance for the front desk unless you wanted to walk through the casino to the back where the desk was located. We had an upstairs room, the walkway above was bouncy and the entire room was sloped. Making us a bit uneasy. Room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable.

The motel is very basic but quite clean and quiet. Never heard any noise from the casino. The bed was comfortable. It doesn't have a refrigerator, microwave or coffee maker and only provides hand soap. It doesn't have all the amenities but is actually quite decent for the price. If you're in the area, be sure to eat at Mom's Diner. We ate dinner there and then breakfast the next morning. The food quality is wonderful, portions are huge and the service is exceptional. It's like a retro diner and it is fun to see all the eclectic, vintage items on the walls, etc. Very highly recommend!

Check in was ok took a little time and the lady was pleasant, lesson learned she asked if I had a preference on buildings and that’s where the stay went downhill and maybe I’m just being a Karen but she put us in building D right next door to one of the only occupied rooms in the whole facility…I walked by hundreds of empty rooms only to find my room next to an occupied room and low and behold a couple hours later we had a neighbor upstairs… I understand trying to group rooms to ease housekeeping but at least but a room between us. Our TV intermittently shut off and unfortunately maintenance could resolve the issue. Luckily we were so tired the neighbors TV didn’t keep us awake. The rooms are very large and clean. Beds are a little lumpy but bedding was clean. Two older raggy towels for us to use. I think I’d try the Nugget to compare. Definitely saved us a few hundred bucks from heading into Vegas. Very convenient if you are doing the Bronco Off Roadeo.

Extremely noisy. From guest chatting at might and others arriving middle of the night to tourists group leaving at 5:30 for the Death Valley, it was constant loudly noise from outside Mattress and pillows we’re exceptionally hard. It’s time to change them. Wifi? Not sure they have one. I could not find it so I had to use my cellular data. I dont recommend. One of those cheap casino hotel smelling cigarettes, not in the room though.

Had a paid for reservation. We were traveling got there a little after midnight. No staff just security who said they canceled your reservation and there's nothing I can do about it. We had to sleep in the car if sleep is what you called it. Absolutely horrible

The desk mgr. went out of her way to help me as I use a walker and room assigned me had steps --- she changed and even walked me to the room to give keys so I didn't hve to go back down to desk!!!! She's a gem

Clean room, nice ambience and nice bed. Overall it was a pleasant surprise. The only thing this hotel should change is the check-in process. It took approx 2 hoirs to check-in. Around 20 mins per person.

Actually the Hotel is ok , we just expected room Cleaning which didnt happen and on our arrival we had to open the Bed for our daughter ourself and also Bedsheets etc we had to order and prepare the Bed ourself . The pool os nice and clean , because of the heat we just could it use Later in the Evening . Personal and staff where superfriendly and also the food was ok . Vegetarians wont find much .

Stood in line for over 30 minutes to check in with only 1 customer at each counter. Our turn came and it took about 15 minutes to check us in and we had a reservation. They wanted me and my wife's ID for some reason then wanted our daughters full name. No reason for all that info. Super slow staff. Room was decent and the beds were comfy. Also didn't like that at 10:58 am they knocked and were pressuring us to be out of the room. Check-out is 11:00 and we were just zipping up the last suitcase and were already leaving.

I tried calling Housekeeping and Front Desk after checking in I needed toilet paper and I had to leave a message for both departments and never heard back or never received the toilet paper. That’s net good service.

Not made aware no housekeeping. Had to track down towels and toilet paper for both rooms we had. Terrible or no desk service. TV didnt work in one room. Maint was friendly.

The staff is horrible. We have stayed here in the past, as we are in the area regularly for work, and we swore we would never start again. Well we decided to give them another chance since it has been a while and that was a mistake we will never make again. I called ahead to let them know that we would be arriving between 9:30pm and 10:30pm. That in the past we have had to wait 30 minutes to an hair just to check in. We are bee keepers so we travel late and drive all day so by the time we get there we are exhausted and just want to go to bed. The woman I spoke to said it wasn’t a problem and she would let the stave know and leave a note. Well we arrived at 9:50 and had to wait till 10:40 to be checked in. I tried calling and nothing. Then to add to all of it the woman behind the desk gave us attitude. I wasn’t going to say anything to her about calling but after all the attitude and her being ugly to my husband I asked for the managers information. She’s was reluctant but finally gave us a fake name. When I mentioned that I had call to let the evening person know when we would be checking in she insinuated that I was lying. Why would I lie about that? Really… This is the worse place to stay. Next time I’d rather sleep in the truck then deal with am ugly person. Bed was rough so off your looking for a comfortable bed you’d be better off on the floor. Be aware of the rotten smell every time you step out of your room

an absolute disappointment checking in. Rush hour on a Saturday and the hotel has exactly one agent to check folks in for the entire resort. no friendly smiles or disposition from the poor woman stuck with doing “everything.” A colleague walks to the counter - looks over the line and decides that her associate needs no help to move the line along. It took us a 45 min wait on line and then the check in process is also painfully slow

Property was clean, quiet, a/c worked great, easy parking and plenty of dinning options near by.

Convenient location close to Death valley and LasVegas

We used it as our gateway to Death Valley. Centerly located, with lots to do in the surrounded area.

Its a nice place to stay being easy to get in and out of. Convenient location with access to vegas as well as heading to California

What i liked the most is that it was quiet. Saddle west is still close enough to everything else, and that helps.

Simple overnight stay, but a relaxing time. Room and bed were comfortable. Tub showed a bit of wear but otherwise good. Just be known, only certain rooms have a fridge. Casino was OK. If you are bothered by smoke, not your place. No table games but plenty of video games. Onsite restaurant and fast food within a short drive.

This Hotel/Casino/RV park is showing it's age. the rooms are pretty outdated, but they are clean and everything functions in the 4 times I have stayed at this hotel. I keep coming back because of location, it's inexpensive, it's clean, the restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and ALL of the staff are very friendly. The casino still stinks of smoke though, even after all these years.

I didn’t expect a lot but was pleasantly surprised. The buffet was a disappointment! But the waiter was very nice!!

Room was great and service, but casino area/check in smelled horribly of smoke. Couldn't even breathe while checking in, especially with kids. Once we got to the room it was good, loved it was smoke free. We were there for a wedding.. We ate breakfast in their cafe/buffet and it's not that great.

The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent and fresh.

The Hamburgers at the Restaurant are excellent.
