Baymont by Wyndham Latham Albany Airport

We stayed here for the early airport transportation although when we got to the lobby there was no one around. We waited for 20 minutes and ended up driving ourselves and parking at the airport so we didn’t miss our flight.

I led a school canoeing trip with 12 high school students, and we stayed here the night we landed in NY. We booked months before our stay and called before we booked to make sure they could accommodate us with our large group at the time we landed to shuttle us from the airport, and they assured us it was no problem. When we landed, we found our driver and realized he was using a small SUV, which seemed like his personal car, to get us to the hotel. We had to take several trips back and forth, meaning the students had to ride without a chaperone late at night with the driver. When we got to the hotel there were a bunch of people waiting in the lobby; our driver was also the receptionist, and they were waiting for him to get back. We finally got into our rooms at around midnight, and the hotel was honestly pretty unclean. My co-leader had bloodstains in his sheets. The walls were dirty and stained, and it smelled pretty strongly of smoke and marijuana. None of our A/C units worked right, and it was very warm. We also booked this place because breakfast was included, and we went downstairs the next morning to eat only to find that there was stale cereal and oatmeal packets, as well as like 6 bagels total in the breakfast area. There was literally only a quart of milk in the fridge for all of the guests. We were taking a bus directly to our trail, so not having a good breakfast was pretty unfortunate. If you want a peaceful, clean stay, do not book here.

Comfy bed. No working ice machine, dirty carpet, trash out doors, commercial area near detention center.

Old and crusty. Very convenient location. Gym was shut due to leak.

My major concern was my room’s door did not lock when I left the room. It locked from the inside with the dead bolt so I felt safe enough to sleep. This is an old hotel. The room rate was great but I would not recommend to anyone to stay there. Carpeting is old and stained in hallway and room. Not the Wyndham hotels I have used before.

I headed to Albany a day early to avoid a snowstorm and needed a reasonable hotel with an airport shuttle. I asked the clerk at check in for a late checkout because my flight wasn't until late afternoon. He said I could check out at noon. The room was large and comfortable. Unfortunately someone began banging on the door aggressively at 11:15 and yelled at me that it was after check out time. I informed him that I had been given a late check out and he said that was ok and he left. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Then it turned out that he was the guy who drove me to the airport.

The hotel was very functional everything needed for a great night sleep and very handy to the airport .

Hotel is badly in need of a face lift. Call for a shuttle - it's a personal car. No fitness center that I could find. Breakfast is fine but prepacked in a paper bag at the front desk. Otherwise, friendly and helpful staff. Clean linens but rooms need a deep clean.

The receptionist was also the shuttle driver. This meant that several guests had to wait for up to 30 minutes to check into their rooms. Additionally, my room smelled of smoke and wet animal. The paint on the walls was peeling and there were many cracks in the drywall. I don’t think I can overstate how grossly maintenance has been deferred on this property. You would do yourself a favor by booking at motel six. Furthermore, the hotels shuttle appeared to be the receptionist’s personal vehicle.

The room was absolutely disgusting. I normally don't write reviews, but there was sticky stuff on all of the tables- and MOLD in the bathroom of our room. The TV/alarm clock/and phone all didn't work either.

Place is filthy and run down. Owners car parked in unloading area overnight. Swastika's drawn on two columns at front door. Should have been painted, garbage cans overflowing outside and in gazebo. Sheets stained. Walls filthy. No welcome hello nor goodbye.

My room was so dirty, there were no other options. I actually had to go buy my own bedding. Our bathroom had mold and the walls were all so filthy. The whole place smelled. I was extremely disappointed and grossed out. My key stopped working almost every time I used it. No one was ever at the front desk. Never again!! Any way to receive a refund? Pics attached of my room and the graffiti outside the door.

Disgusting hotel. Sleep in your car instead. This property is absolutely filthy, completely dilapidated and should be shut down by the board of health.

Hotel smelled bad and room had mold all over the bathroom and paint chipping everywhere. Would avoid.

The hotel was run down and poorly maintained, the room was dirty the shower was filthy and the towels were bad quality, we would not stay there again even though the staff was courteous.

Lobby/hallway and rooms were absolutely disgusting. Cobwebs in every corner of the room and on the headboard. Black mold and water damage on wall/windowsill.Toilet/shower looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. "Secure" locked side door has a Cheetos bag stuffed inside to prevent locking, allowing anyone from outside into the halls. Stayed 20 minutes and checked out. All that the counter guy had to say was "sorry"! I also left a review on their website with pics in case you doubt anything i say here!

The bed was fairly comfortable but the hotel room was filthy. Smelled horrible and very outdated.

Horrible mess, had to switch rooms from all the noise the next room was making. Next room smelled and sheets were stained. Breakfast was only served from 6 to 9 which is crazy for a weekend. Most people like to sleep in. The whole experience was terrible.

If you need low cost accommodations by the Albany airport, this works. Outdated, noisy heater, no hot water, and not very clean. But it served its purpose.

Airport shuttle was a guy in an SUV. The hotel was kinda shabby. The were cobwebs in the corners of my room and dust on the bed frame. The duvet and carpet were stained and the bed skirt was ripped. The shower area was patched with mismatched wall board and the toilet seat was the wrong shape for the toilet. It was also not very quiet. There were children running up and down the hall yelling and playing till almost 10 pm on a work night. All in all it was cheap and that’s about all I can say.

This place was definitely pretty shabby. The peeling paint and general dilapidation in the hallways were off-putting. Even the parking lot was not in great condition. One of the lamps in the room flickered so badly I had to turn in off. There was a lot of late-night party-like noise coming from a nearby room that the management did not address.

1980’s. Peeling paint, needs more outlets in room. Microwave not plugged in, had to disconnect tv to heat food. Entire facility needs to be painted and updated. Very convenient to the airport.

Rooms could use an update. Bathroom was a wreck, walls had a repair they needed a repair, show curtain rod dangling, half of one side of the toilet paper holder was broken off, TV had no channels

Quiet which was a plus but the hotel is tired and needs a full renovation. The owners use the drop off area as their own parking. The entry and exit doors are difficult to open and unsafe and you cannot use your key to re-enter. The room was good overall with Comfy beds and good climate control but the facility was a bit dirty and dingy. The ice machine didn’t work consistently and there was no water in the water machine.

Bathroom is terrible. Shower etc. all old and falling apart. Air worked marginally. Loud in hallways and upstairs.

Couldst call on phone to family from room. Shower spout was loose (caulk on spout was too old. 1st water coming out was orange. The spout was stuck I was unable to make the water come out from the shower head.

This is a great location to the airport if you're dropping off a car rental and checking in for an early flight. Outside of that, I would not recommend this hotel; it's in rough shape, and the single-person staff seemed to allow guests to be more rowdy and loud throughout the night.

The front desk was gone for over an hour.

The staff was exceptional. Extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Upon checking in I had to wait about thirty minutes for the front desk attendant. The hallways smelled like weed and there was pounding on the wall most of the night. There was a trash in the hallway and a trashbin was visibly full of trash. I need a refund for two days because I checked out after one night.

This place is awful, one of the worst I've stayed at in a very long time. It was dirty and the desk receptionist was also the shuttle driver so he would disappear for runs (not his fault, bad scheduling) and people would be stacked up in the lobby needing towels or a shuttle ride. Our room had 2 towels for a family of 4. My son spent went to desk to ask for towels and he said he'd go to housekeeping closet and bring them down. 45 minutes passed and no towels. He went back to desk and waited 40 minutes for him to return with a lobby full of other people. The place is also filled with other people staying who do not care at all about time of night or noise, and with no one running the place and asking them not to play music in hallways or run up and down all night it was awful. The hallways and room were dirty and in serious disrepair. I can't stress strongly enough, do not stay here.

It was a typical airport hotel-very basic. Room was clean and staff were friendly.

When I got there at 8pm there was a sign on the desk asking guests to wait patiently that the desk clerk would be back soon. I waited 20mins all the while I heard someone on the phone in the back. So I dialed zero and that same person answered. 🙄

Window sills, area around the toilet in the bathroom and ceiling were dirty. When I tried to take a shower, the way to turn the water and shower on fell off in my hand and I could not take a shower. They were very good about taking me to the airport at 3:15 a.m. That was the reason I booked there. I needed a way to get to the airport in the morning. When I checked in the clerk was quick but not personable. The one that took me to the airport in the morning was pleasant.

This is our go-to hotel near the airport. It is clean, the staff nice, and affordable. No complaints

It’s a dirt cheap place to crash for the night and nothing more. The room was clean (even if the property wasn’t) but for the price I paid I knew what I was getting. Good enough for a hot shower and a bit of sleep.

The entire property was old and dated. The toilet was sitting on a piece of unpainted plywood; there was hair in the sink that was not ours. The entire place had a musty smell. The walls/doors in the stairwell and hallways were dirty and there was no elevator. The property itself is across the street from a juvenile detention facility. I have stayed at Baymont before and was expecting a no frills, but much cleaner, updated facility for the money and brand. We were only planning to spend the night but would have moved had it been more than a night. On the positive side the staff were friendly, helpful and provided a nice shuttle back and forth to the airport which is very close to the hotel and the reason we chose this hotel initially.

Albany International Airport was right down the road. Five minutes or less to go from Baymont to the Airport.

Very convenient to the airport. The room was clean as well although the bathtub had peeling paint that made it look dirty. This hotel could use some upgrades with the carpet and paint. There were people hanging out in the parking lot that made it less than inviting

It is located near a jail and thh if e clientele is not the best. The hotel was dirty and noisy. Will never recommend!!!

Baymont needs a make-over. It's convenient to Albany Airport but lacks a close-by restaurant.

We found a tiny spider under the sheets, switched to another room and found another one. Breakfast is in a brown bag, not like what was described on their website.

breakfast was not good. said it was a full breakfast, wasnt even a continental. Out of a lot of stuff including coffee cups. Reception had no one there. He wad running the shuttle to the airport. Shower Water was cold in room. Found bugs there. Lobby and hallway was dirty. I think i deserve at least a partial refund. Very musty smelling

Very disappointing. Pictures displayed at Hotels.com do not correspond to reality at all, which is dishonest. Toilets at hallway out of order. Breakfast was only a paper bag with a few items. Coffee machine not working the first day. Dirty carpets all over the place and bad smell. Absolutely not recommendable.

We paid for a room with breakfast. There was no breakfast. The whole breakfast area was closed

Nice gazebo. Cleaning staff was accommodating. There were cobwebs in the rooms and hallways. The breakfast was lacking in hot options, i.e. scrambled eggs

No hot water in the bathroom sink.The bathroom door was broken and lot of problem opening and closing. No elevator so needed to take steps to 2nd floor which was very inconvenient. Finally, we thought there was some kind of breakfast, which turned out to be a bag with a muffin, apple, energy bar and bottle of water....rather disappointing. Staff was very helpful at check-in.

Stated extensive breakfast options didn't exist. Property was rather rundown and dingy, though at least there were no apparent bugs or pests and the room seemed to have been cleaned at some point (though unoccupied for some time, so the cleaning could have been long ago). Not the worst place I've sussed, esp for the price, but you can certainly do much better if you're looking for anything other than a cheap overnight before a flight.

It daid they had breakfast but there was still a sign saying due to Covid there was no breakfast being offered. False advertisement on the website.

Shower head was practically falling out of the wall. The beds were super comfy. Breakfast was in a paper bag. Breakfast bar, muffin, apple juice in a cup, apple and water. Very disappointed.
