Dirty sheets weren’t cleaned holes in the walls and the shower handle was broken off. And heroine needles in the lot. Manager was very apathetic and seemed to not give a dam when I came in for check in

What is the saying? “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” From the exterior, this place is a little run down. Obviously the hotel has been around for many years. Entrances to rooms are outside, which is also old-school. Along with this, the lobby is dated in appearance. Now for the good news. They have 24 hour staff and they are very friendly. The interiors of the rooms appear to have been updated. The mattress and bed pillows in my room were good quality. The room was clean. The showerhead delivered a nice spray and there was plenty of hot water. There is a complimentary breakfast which is basic but not fancy. Surprisingly good, coffee, juice, cereal, bagels and make your own waffles. Not much in the way of protein or fruit. But hey, the price is reasonable. Location is good. In Colonie, between Albany and Schenectady and close to a major shopping mall and plenty of restaurants and retail spots. Also a quick drive to the airport. Good for a night’s stay when you have had last minute changes to your travel plans.

Basic. Bed was clean/check with UV light, no bugs, no stains. Door had a deadbolt and I felt safe. Bathroom was very clean and no problem with hot water. The room heater was a bit weak, blowing hot air, and not able to go above 86 degrees. The floor, could have been washed. I tried damping towels to mop the floor(cause the floors were actually like walking on grip tape. As said, it’s basic, but clean and safe for the most part. No smell of pot/tabacco/vaping(with policy not too do any). Temperature was bearable. The dirty floor, unfortunate. Not having anything in their vending machines, unfortunate(ended up going to a gas station next door). It’s not the Ritz, and does not need to be. It served its purpose, and don’t expect anything more than that.

Very run down, ..room was dirty looking. Hairs in the tub and schmutz on the door. Some really sketchy looking people hanging out in their room doorways....smell of pot everywhere. Thought price was a bit high...site said 106...then as i booked it jumped to 150...whatever...just needed a shower and bed for the night. Breakfast was si.ple...juice, coffee bagels and cereal. We didnt die, so i guess thats good.

First, I'll address 2 negative reviews that I saw and counter with our experience. The first, our room did NOT smell bad at all. And the 2nd, the customer service was PHENOMENAL!!! Look y'all, is it a "top tier" hotel/motel? No.... BUT it was EXACTLY what we needed, when we needed it. I couldn't be happier with the stay. The bed was comfortable enough, the AC got down to what I needed it to, the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water, and most importantly, no one messed with our vehicle! Very impressed!

I stayed in room 113. No issues with noise at all. Breakfast included bread/bagel with butter, jelly, and cream cheese. Cheerios and Frosted Flakes. Coffee, juice, and hot tea. Waffles. Con: No laundry facility. Pros: Near a gas station, Dunkin Donuts, Mexican Restaurant, and Middle Eastern Restaurant. WiFi worked. On bus route. 355 and 905 stop right in front of hotel. I arrived before 3pm check-in and they allowed me to check-in early with no additional charge. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot included. Would stay again.

Motel located in far-out sprawl of Albany. Took a while for us to locate it, particularly since we couldn't get our GPS to work. Locale is not pretty and room is pretty spartan. On the other hand the room was spacious, bed comfortable, and price very reasonable. Good value for money.

The room was Very dirty, no toilet paper, cigarette burns in top blankets both beds. Toilet nasty dirty, shower very dirty, floors not swept or mopped, fire alarm not on wall, phone broken. Very noisy. The front desk very nice!

Was only in town for one night for a concert. The room wasn’t too bad , ac was good, bed was good (although I don’t check under sheets and stuff I just lay on top of the sheets on the already made bed) . Biggest complaint would be the bathroom. I didn’t have flip flops so I didn’t want to shower. I couldn’t. The tub didn’t look well cleaned. The bathroom also had like old dust and other peoples hair in the corners. Other than that, everything else was ok.

The property is very clean and rooms sleeping area and bathroom clean. The breakfast is satisfying continental simple nutrition. The building is from approximately 1980 and some of the room's furniture are that warm. In the most recent night's here the temperature slightly below zero the electric heater had no problem bringing the room above 75° If a problem arrises the front desk employees are able to find a solution. This is one of the most price to performance successful motels today in the Northeast USA.

Pet room feces,still on floor from previous traveler, dropped a little soda of floor and cleaned it up and the face cloth was black from the filth on the floor, parking lot disgusting, we were both exhausted from our trip from Maine other wise ,we would of never stayed! Room 115, and I’m sure the rest were just as dirty, dead spiders in shower, I could go on ,up at 3am and out I Of here , refund should be a given

The worst motel I’ve ever stayed at. The parking lot is sketchy, the room wasn’t clean, there was blood on our lampshade. There were needle caps outside. Stay away!

The room was very nice, the heating and cooling system worked perfectly. Sheets were too thin for us personally, bed was very soft. The shower had great pressure and temperature. The biggest complaint was the amount of pot. My husband is extremely sensitive to the drug and gets horrible headaches just from a whiff of it. The room next to us was smoking both in the night and first thing in the morning. There were others smoking pot as well, despite being multiple no smoking rooms. This should be banned from hotels. Just because someone else wants to destroy their lungs and brain cells, doesn’t mean we all have to.

The room smelled of stale smoke but the staff desk gave me a spray that made the room smell great. I spend time and scraped the mold and used toothpaste to cover it. The sheets were soft and clean and the room was fine. The staff was great the hotel could be great with a little room cleaning with someone that really cares to improve it. Shame it could be better. But I made the best of it with nice staff.

Booking thru Hotels.com went smoothly. Description stated "Pet Friendly" and breakfast included. Upon arrival, waited 20 minutes for the "Manager" Bob Patel to check in the couple ahead of me - took him a while because he had to repeat himself a lot - english not being his best language. Looking around the lobby, I noticed a small sign stating there was a $20 charge for dogs and a $50 charge if you tried to sneak a dog in! Nothing about that in the Hotels.com description and that hardly qualifys as "Pet Friendly"! Manager Patel wouldn't budge and was downright rude. My wife and I (and small dog) had just driven 500 miles and were too tired to look for another motel. The room was only minimally clean, with dirt in all the corners. Expecting a good breakfast? Expect generic sweetened fruit loops and sweetened cherios with milk from a thermos bottle. No fresh fruit, no juice. Indescribably terrible coffee.

Upon check-in, I requested the return of my driver’s license after it had been taken by the staff member assisting me. He informed me that he needed to make a copy first. I asked for the reason behind this, and he stated it was “the policy.” When I asked where this policy was documented or explained, he replied that it was not written anywhere. He then added, “If you’d like, I can return your license and the copy, and you can leave. You may also call 911 or speak with the manager in the morning—he can explain the policy.” At no point was the policy clearly explained to me, nor was I shown any written documentation supporting this procedure.

Unsafe? Not sure....Police at desk looking for someone on outstanding warrant. Looks like some "guests" are living there. Area around building is unkept. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. Price was very reasonable. But not sure if we will ever stay there again.

Older motel, but the room was fine. There were a lot of folks roaming around the hotel grounds and they yelled at us a couple of times. We also had someone bang on our door at 3:45am, asking for Daniel. Although I don't blame the hotel for this, it speaks to the area. Worked for the night.

Everything was fine. What one expects from an Econolodge. Easy access from highway. Easy check in/check out, clean sheets, working shower. No complaints really. I would stay here again when stopping in Albany

The room itself was OK. It's not a place you'd stay to enjoy the amenities but rather to have somewhere local to stay for the night. The TV didn't work but we really didn't need it. There was an big, unidentified yellow and red spot on the sheets of one of the beds. Breakfast was a few cereals, a large selection of donuts, toast, English muffins and bagels with plenty of condiments available. Coffee, OJ and apple juice were the beverage choices. The location made it difficult to pull out of the parking lot most of the day since traffic was so heavy. The traffic sounds didn't reach our room, though. The desk clerk, Mr. Patel, was friendly and courteous. All-in-all, I'd stay there again.

This econo lodge is very dated and run down. But the staff was nice, the price was good and the breakfast was decent: cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs and waffles and the coffee was good. If you are looking for a quick, cheap stopover in Albany, it was fine.

Very good value for the price. The facilities were generally clean, but "grubby" or a bit "tired". There was dirt in places like where the threshold of the bathroom door met the floor, in hard-to-reach or hard-to-clean places. Amazingly quiet. The breakfast was cold cereal with milk, donuts, white bread to toast, English muffins. No fruit or fruit juice (there was some kind of Tang- like drink). No protein like hard boiled eggs. No yogurt. I usually eat dry cereal with milk for breakfast, so it was fine with me. Service was OK, although difficult to communicate as staff had limited English.
