A frequent traveler and user of these lower-cost "business" hotels, I was impressed with this hotel\'s friendly staff and attention to detail. The iron was clean. Everything was clean. The fitness room was one of the most complete, newest, and best I have seen in any such hotel. The free breakfast was complete and without flaw. If in Poughkeepsie again, this is where I\'ll stay.

Side exit door not locked and secured, it actually would not close at all, this was exit next to room staying in. Pool closed, actually never opened-yet advertised pool. People smoking right outside of door on property all hours of the day snd night. Staff however were very pleasant.

A very decent place to stay when visiting Poughkeepsie. Rooms and facilities are fine (except the pool is still closed). Staff are sensible and sufficient. Breakfast was good for this link of place and customers seem quiet and well behaved.

We found this wonderful location to be just perfect!! Our check-in was a breeze, and the clerk was extremely accommodating. After a quiet night's rest we had the hotel's great hot breakfast. Plenty of free parking, right off a very convenient commercial corridor; I highly recommend this Holiday Inn, I firmly believe you'll be quite satisfied!!

The hot breakfast has such a wide selection, the beds are super comfortable, the linens and towels are crisp and clean, room is in great condition. Sorry to see the pool is not and will not be in service. Gym was decent. Not a lot of people attending so there was no wait to use machines. I love the 2:00 check out for members!

Our in room fridge had mold on the shelves ( they did switch it out with a new non-moldy fridge right away). We had no body wash in our shower dispenser. I was told to text instead of calling the front desk, so I did text later that evening, but no one ever came to refill the dispenser for our 2 nd morning there. The pool outside wasn’t open, which was fine, but it looked horrible with leaves & plant debris around it & really, it just gave the place a neglected sort of feel.

Our room had flying bugs and had to kill 4 when I asked for another room they said it was booked no rooms available the staff came to our room and took photos and said he was going to contact the manager and never received a call or a solution

The hotel, service, and room were fine; the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast had a fair variety of food options. However, finding a stained sofa was gross; we couldn't sit on it. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning. It doesn't seem that the pool will be repaired anytime soon, which shows that the hotel needs TLC. A pool is a great plus when picking a hotel.

Good value for price. Large,comfortable room and bed. Bathtub a plus. Many hotels are changing to only shower. Good breakfast. Courteous staff. Checked in at one PM so room not ready yet. After checking in so early, I was given a room by not only the elevator but ALSO the noisy ice machine!? I was surprised and a little disappointed. I would stay at this hotel again.

It was a warm welcome and quick check-in Outside the window was very noisy even though the window was closed. Even though the hotel was definitely not full, and I checked in about 5pm, nevertheless I was allocated to a room right beside the icemachine and lifts. Thoughtless. Allocation to these high noise rooms should be last resort.

Check in was great Did not get a first floor unit as requested No housekeeping at all on Saturday Had to go to front desk at 2:40 Pm for additional towels which were gracefully provided Breakfast was well equipped and cleaning was great Shower water pressure was horrible .. Room was tired and needs a lot of work One positive note was that the AC worked fine but was noisy!!

Room was adequate however checkin was awful. First, we were given no room number. We returned to the front desk and then were given a room location. After getting an actual room number we proceeded to that room to settle in . We were horrified to find there were people in that room when we opened the door . EXTREMELY embarrassing to say the least ! Front desk didn’t seem to care at all.

Terrible Stay – Do Not Recommend I had one of the worst experiences staying here. First off, the pool was closed — in the middle of summer — which was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel in the first place. On top of that, my belongings went missing during my stay. I never let anyone into my room, yet when I reported it, the staff brushed it off and told me it wasn’t their fault that I “misplaced” something. That was insulting and extremely unhelpful. To make matters worse, they refused to offer any kind of refund, discount, or even a gesture of goodwill for the issues I went through. The staff’s attitude was dismissive, and instead of helping, they made the situation even more frustrating. I also reached out to the site I booked through, and they were just as unhelpful. Overall, I felt like I wasted my money and time. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If something goes wrong here, don’t expect them to care or do anything to make it right. One star — only because zero isn’t an option.

The girl at the desk seemed annoyed that I got there at midnight and she kept telling me that lost her glasses. She sent me to 309. The room was dirty. The bed was unmade. The bathroom had dirty towels. When I went back down she kept saying “I don’t have my glasses” why would that matter to me? She didn’t tell me where the elevators were I had to ask twice. It’s a holiday and she gave me a dirty room then was giving me nasty remarks. I think she her name was Dorita. Deretha, Whoever was working Friday morning at 12am the 29th of November. VERY poor customer service. VERY!

Nice hotel - in a busy area but from inside you can't hear traffic noise on the street which is great. Its quiet, comfortable, and in a convenient part of town, right on rte 9. The hotel staff are great, and promptly responsive to guest requests.

The halls leading to all the rooms need updating very depressing dark gray walls n carpet no pictures on the walls a little scary walking them at night Room was ok nice beds and furniture and TV Ice machines on two floors did not work Breakfast needs improvement The egg omelette was not warm enough bagels were hard little cakes stale not a good choice of cold cereal Still waiting for my $50 that was taken at check in time in case of damages ( we had no damages)

Our room to close to desk/ lobby/ breakfast spot = noisy _folks ( other guest) talked loudly in the hall and early. We went to sleep really late ( 3am/ after Yankee game). I'd recommend asking for different room if I choose to stay there again. Odor: room had a funny odor, was asked how everything was after check-in via text- shared room odor, text person addressed. Thank you, Katie. Breakfast: cold eggs, moist biscuits and well everything was cold ( insert sad face).

We had breakfast there five times.. and each meal although self serve was fresh and exceptional. My wife's favorite was a bagel and omelet… and her coffee machine allowed each cup to have fresh ground coffee beans. My choice was chocolate milk, sausage and gravy biscuit, and cinnamon roll. They also offered yogurt, hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. The staff kept the area clean and the food restocked. The bed was comfortable and the shower water hot and strong. The entire staff is friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express our next visit to Poughkeepsie.
