The Courtyard Marriott in Tarrytown is a nice hotel that was very clean and modern with all the expected amenities of a Marriott. Bathroom is a little small, but it's good enough. We had a 1 BR suite that was spacious, though our kid who stayed on the pull out couch said it was very uncomfortable. Nice to have a balcony with two chairs at the hotel. Nice courtyard, though no cushions on the main seating in the courtyard. No breakfast included but nice little restaurant in the lobby and Jose made excellent cocktails. Free cookies all day was a nice touch.

A hidden little gem near the historic village of Tarrytown. Rooms are a decent size, but the bathroom area is basic. The exterior views are nothing to write home about, and noisy during the weekdays with the ongoing renovations, so try to get a room overlooking the courtyard and not on the top floor (since the roof is being worked on). There’s not much to the gym and it could use more equipment. The little common area in the lobby is reasonably well appointed and setup for accommodating several different parties. The breakfast options available there are OK but a little bit pricey for what you get. The courtyard has some very nice fire pits and lounge areas that you can enjoy on nice days.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The building itself was very confusing to navigate and not very “handicap friendly”. Lots of stairs and not clear direction as to how to find the elevator which was way on the backside of the hotel.

The hotel had plenty of parking. The hotel, halls, rooms and bathrooms were VERY clean. The lobby had a cozy area with a fire place for a nice relaxing visit with family. I dont ever give feedback, but this hotel is well worth the price and I highly recommend!!

This was the cleanest room we have ever had in this area. It helps that it was recently renovated, but the cleaning staff must be amazing, going above and beyond. The first thing I noticed when walking down the hall to our room was this: NO HOTEL SMELL! Usually there's a smell that's a mix of some dull stink from no air circulation and some kind of cleaning product. The hallways and the room itself smelled neutral. The bathroom was more spacious than most, and the room had lots of surfaces to set stuff on. The beds were immaculate. I loved the well-manicured courtyard and the inviting lobby area. I can't say enough about this stay, and we were there for a death in the family, so having such a nice room was incredible. Thanks to everyone there from the woman who checked us in to the folks who worked in the food area, the room cleaners, and the grounds keeper. Big relief during a stressful time.

According to your website the hotel supposedly has breakfast included. We were told by the assistant general mgr. (who posed as the general mgr.) that we did not have breakfast included and we could purchase breakfast if we wanted. When I explained that your website states breakfast included, the general mgr. requested my confirmation and told me if it's not stated on the confirmation I was not entitled to it. The "G/M" was exceptionally unfriendly and told us he couldn't do anything for us. When I asked him for the corporate phone number, it wouldn't do me any good as I would be transferred back to him. In addition the room was not all that clean and our daughter killed an enormous cockroach in the room. When my daughter told the chambermaid about it she responded by laughing.

I’ve stayed here many times and they have recently renovated. The new carpet in the hallway was badly needed and it looks great now. The rooms repainted and new carpet as well. Very safe and quiet here.

The hotel was very clean and modern. There is a small restaurant in the lobby and lots of seating. Very nice atmosphere. It was a fairly long walk to our room, but it was fine for us. There was complimentary cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby when we arrived. Our room was really nice, clean and spacious. We had a balcony. We ran into trouble with the TV signal, but the staff was very easy to get in touch with and quick to respond. They had two different people check it out in 20 minutes and when it couldn't be fixed they moved us to a suite. We had the same problems there, but they were able to remotely fix the signal. We had a great stay.

We booked two adjoining suites months in advance, each with a crib, as my sister and I were traveling with our families. We wanted to ability to hang out together while the babies were sleeping. My sister arrived and checked in only to be told that they didn't have any adjoining rooms left. We absolutely would have stayed elsewhere had we known. Since there was a crib in there room, they didn't think to look in our room, so we didn't find out until late at night that there was no crib in the room. It took them over 30 minutes to bring one while my toddler was up waiting and getting upset. The hotel is fine, but if you want what you booked specifically, it's not worth the trouble. Also, the bathrooms are very tiny and awkward, so it's hard to shut the door while getting to/from the toilet.

1- Cleaning Staff took a $300 jacket out of our room without asking. When we questioned the front desk staff they told us they “would look Into it” and get back to us which they still havent done. 2- cleaning staff would clean the room some days but not everyday so we had to always ask for clean towels. 3- we had items stolen off our porch/patio outside of our room that faced the courtyard. We informed the front desk again and they brushed it off like it was no big deal.

Wonderful set up. Very clean and the staff couldn’t be more nice or helpful. The location is a bit far (3 miles) from Sleepy Hollow or the Train Station (a little closer) but the buses ($2.75 per ride) are easy to use and there is Über and taxi services ($12-$25) as well. Other than the distance it’s located on a beautiful property set back from the busy road that accesses it.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the coffee maker didn’t work! We paid for breakfast only to find out than you stood in line to pick it up. If you paid for a full breakfast you were entitled to one warm dish and one drink. If we would have known this, we would have not prepaid for an awful breakfast and would have eaten in town.

I was told on check-in that coffee was available 24 hours. When I went to get coffee at 6:30 a.m. I was told by the staff waiting to open up the coffee stand that it was not available until 7. Also, I would have thought a place like this would have free drip coffee in the early morning. Not so. Otherwise, the room was fine, bed was fine. No problems on any of those fronts.

Glad you asked about breakfast. I shouldn't have to pay for coffee or pay $26 for yogurt, a muffin and a drink. I refused. We stayed the next night at the Hartford Marriott and that was a normal hotel - coffee in the lobby and breakfast included. I won't return to Tarrytown.

Everything was great, and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint we have is regarding breakfast. It was not included in our stay and we knew that ahead of time. We ordered some light breakfast and paid for it but the quality nas mediocre and quantity was so small. If you offer breakfast for your quests to buy at least make it delicious and enough.
