Nice hotel and convenient location to Sleep Hollow. Not at all what I thought it was by how it was listed online. I was thinking it was going to be this really cool estate that looked like a castle and was upscale. Not that at all. Listing needs to be more accurate.

The property itself is beautiful. However, the rooms are dated and overall not great quality. The walls a very thin and you can hear people talking in the room next to you. Overall, veey basic stay and nothing special outside of the grounds you can walk.

After booking 2 rooms months before, during check-in, I was asked if we wanted to be next to each other and if so, we would have to wait about 20 minutes longer for them to be ready. The rooms were not worth the price. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet didn’t flush well, and the door kept sticking. The breakfast buffet is very nice. The property is beautiful. The parking is tricky.

No elevator directly from lobby or close to that takes you to your floor. Instead you get The Shining type maze down steps and through long hallways. I was certain we were going to turn a corner and see twins pedaling towards us on tricycles and knowing my legs would no longer have the strength to flee, I would have to surrender to my fate. There was a point I was disappointed I didn’t meet them. Not a hotel for travelers with significant luggage unless you love struggling through mazes that lead to nowhere. I’m sure had I been placed on the 5th floor (lobby level) my experience would have been better. Instead I was doomed to the 2nd. The room was decent. It was quiet. It was also very dark and secluded.
