Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Market Center

Pros: close to downtown attractions and I-35E. Pool was nice. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Friendly hotel staff. Cons: parts of the hotel had visible water damage in the walls and carpet. Half of the equipment in the gym was not working. Hot tub was not working. When flushing room toilet, the pressure was so strong that it splashed a lot of water everywhere.

Only one of 3 elevators worked

Pool was closed not working Fitness room closed not working You have to pay for the room AND pay for parking. I found a blood sugar test strip on the floor and the check in person had a “whatever.” Kind of attitude.

Pool and hot tub could use some cleaning.

It was a decent stay. They charge for EVERYTHING including parking which was lame.

Average hotel. Had to pay for overnight parking in an empty lot.

Check in and check out we’re easy. Super bummed the spa was closed the whole time we were there. We were there for a volleyball tournament and the hot tub would have been nice to have been able to use. The hotel itself was nice enough, pretty basic and could use some updates. Feel like for the price of the room breakfast should’ve been included. Seemed overpriced to eat at the hotel. Overall, it was a good stay but I’d likely find a different hotel for our next visit.

Very nice place but was so ready to get in the hot tub they advertised. It had black mold growing in it so No i didn’t get to get in the hot tub! Pool was okay but not pretty n blue like the picture. No breakfast either. For the price I would give it a 2-3 star rating.

Construction started above my room at 8:30 am, elevators were not working.

Very dirty, noisy and outdated. The shower amd TV were horrible. Stains all over the carpet throughout and smells rancid. This place is just a bigger Motel 6. Would not stay again and very very much over priced

Carpet was disgusting, the air conditioner never went below 72 in the room, and the water in sink and shower wouldn’t get hot.

The room smelled of marijuana, carpets were very stained, bedding was stained, tiles in bathroom cracked, bed was very outdated and uncomfortable. Probably never going to another Hilton.

This hotel needs to be renovated. The carpets in the hallways were filthy. Disappointed in this Hilton

Hotel room was dirty, there was someone walking outside my room at 3 am having a loud conversation for like 2 hrs. I could not sleep at all. The hotel grounds are scary and enclosed by a metal fence. The carpets in the halls are stained and dirty.

Dirty towels in the bathroom, found a bed beg and the manager or check in person was rude and says I was lying

The room smelled like a retirement center. The new room they gave us smelled like mildew. The toilet sprayed water everywhere. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. You had to pay for parking and breakfast.

The front desk staff and restaurant staff as well as housekeeping are always great and helpful! Free parking!!! Since many Dallas hotels charge 10.00 to 20.00 per day just for parking! My only negative comment is the hallway carpets need to be cleaned meaning steam cleaned or replaced! They are always vacuumed!

Nice on the outside & going in. Came back after a long day and there was a bed bug on the curtain! My husband checked the bed & get out of here!!! Our fault to not check from the beginning. But this is insane!!! Our two year old was with us as well!! They gave me a new room for our last night but I couldn’t even sleep after that!! Very displeased……

Property was dated but nice beds were not as comfortable as most Hiltons I have stayed at, mattresses seemed older. Low water pressure in shower. Location is fantastic if you are going to the Dallas Market Center

I would say for a Hilton, this was a 3 star property. It was nice but you could tell it needed some upgrades. Floor tiles around the property were cracked, the room amenities were older and the vanity in the bathroom was rusted. The shower head sprayed in multiple different directions from collection of calcium and your linens were in the shower with you. The bathroom as a whole was a tight space. Bed was comfortable, so that was a plus. I appreciated that I didn’t have to pay for parking. I never understood why I had to pay more to park at a hotel I’m already pay to stay at so that was a plus. I would stay again, as the price was reasonable for the location.

The heater did not work in my room

Room 331 has a terrible clicking noise each time the AC kicks in. It made it very inconvenient. Also, the rooms are not very soundproof as we could hear the occupants of the next room arguing. Woke up several times. Soundproof rooms or a sound machine could improve the experience.

Overall, we had a nice stay but the walls were paper-thin and you could hear- cough- everything going on in the room next door. The toilets were very loud too. But the gym and pool were excellent, and the staff wonderful! The breakfast is way overpriced though (18 USD for basic fruit, yogurt, toast, eggs etc.). I wish they had an airport shuttle- the desk set us up with a driver and we hoped it was complimentary but it ended up being $60 USD (85 CAD) where an uber was only 35 USD. We were a bit shocked by the price of how much everything cost us… the sticker shock of the shuttle was not a great last impression, and the driver swore the whole time. Ah well, overall a decent stay!

The hotel is located in a good location. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The bar/restaurant was ok, but really didn’t feel like a restaurant. The room was dated. The tub shower had stains in it. The room was clean, but you could hear the freeway noise all the time. Also the TV in our room didn’t work right. It was stuck scrolling through the guide so you couldn’t pick a channel. We didn’t want to mess with calling maintenance.

It's right off the freeway, so I could here the traffic all night. The pillows were awful. So flat.

Room was spacious, clean, quiet, plenty of products in bathroom, staff was friendly.

The housekeeping was very good and efficient. However, there were that I had: 1.) I had an early morning flight on Friday and I could not get any cold water from either the faucet in the sink or the bathtub. i tried letting the cold water faucet in the sink and the coldest dial in the tub run but the temp was scolding hot the entire time. 2.) at the bar, $15 for a glass of house pinot grigio is a rip off. I was told they were out of the house, but that this was a better quality. I have been collecting and drinking wine my entire adult life and Ecco Domoni is not a better Pinot Grigio. It retails in liquor stores for $13.95 a 750 ml bottle. It's served as a house wine in many bars and the most I have ever paid is $9.00 a glass. I should have been told the price when I ordered a house pinot grigio.

I asked for extra towels to be brought to the room because of the rain and it never came. Disappointed, and was tired so went to bed and did not text to remind staff

Rude front desk and never closed pool so there was screaming until midnight. I called and asked 3 times to please close the pool at 10:00 as posted, but they never did. Front desk even laughed at me when I called back the third time. Paying to park there is ridiculous!

The bed was terrible. It was like sleeping on a saggy 30 year old bed. I felt like I was sleeping on the ground with several holes under me. When checking in, the lady behind the counter was rude, and did not want to wait for me to find my driver's license. When you are stressed out from a family emergency you don't want to deal with being treated that way.

We got on late due to a flight delay. The first room we were given we pulled the sheets and had bed bugs. We went to the counter and were given another room that smelled like sewage. As tired as we were we just went to sleep instead of switching rooms again. We had maintenance come up and they said it was in the drains. They pored a ton of drain cleaner but the smell continued the whole stay. I had a crazy headache almost the whole stay from the smell. The front desk was concerned about the bed bugs but not as concerned about the sewage smell. They appologized but didn't comp anything. Breakfast was $18 and we watched them give vouchers out to other people. Not that we needed breakfast because we we're staying at the hotel for a conference across the street but an offer would have been nice. The workout room had limited equipment working. One treadmill was down the other did not connect to the tv. The eliptical i used would randomly shut off during the workout. The tv would in the workout facility would not turn on to any station. If you're looking for a room with limited amenities in downtown this may be good, but check your beds before you are ok to stay. We had to uber everywhere to eat nothing is really close in waking distant and there are homeless people living under the bridge across the street. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

The front receptionist was very very rude!

The staff was very nice, but didn't offer anything to compensate the issue.

The manager was great. She helped us reschedule our room to adjust for our changing plans.

Staff did not acknowledge the reservation through expedia and assigned me a different new registration and charged my card again and at a higher rate, i am still waiting for my card to be credited. I had prepaid with Expedia.

Check-in was simple and fast. Staff was friendly and informative. I asked for directions to my venue and they helped out alot. American airlines center was just 10 minutes away. Lobby was spacious and clean. Elevators all working and clean. Hallways were well lit and clean. Room was a king suite and it was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and was supplied with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Lots of towels supplied. Bed was great. Lots of pillows. Had your standard amenities. Tv, microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer. Temperature was comfortably set at 67. Room was very quiet. The only bad side was the Restaurant was greatly over priced, but i wasnt planning to eat there. 20 dollars for a burger and 18 for a breakfast is not a great deal.

Quiet and conveniently located near the event

Only downfall for me was there were no shops or restaurants close by.

Absolutely great location. Anywhere in downtown is no more than 10 minutes away! Room was always clean and cool on hot August days.

Great hotel but it’s like everything in Dallas. You need a car or Uber. Great hotel just difficult to get to and no dining around.

Well, first of all I’d like to say hotel was OK but nothing exciting also never seen a hotel that charges $15 for a continental breakfast. Nothing special been too many hotels $15 is over. Charge room is OK not too comfortable but overall we stayed there. It was OK location

Jorge was very amazing at checkin and later. Room was as comfy and had everything we needed. Close to a neighbor hotel for our convention. Nice to have coffee in the lobby all day. For the price it seemed breakfast could’ve been included.

Close to Market Center, can walk with crosswalks. Restaurant limited but food good.

Liked this hotel. It has a nice bar at the lobby. Very nice room. It has microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom has everything you need. The only thing I didn’t like was the pillows. Full breakfast (additional charge). You have to pay for parking.

Cannot believe that they charge $18 for a full breakfast considering the room prices. It is a very convenient location but needs true upgrades for the price.

Slight issue with checking in, but other than that, this was an excellent experience. Breakfast was outstanding.

Everything was great,with the exception of a small breakfast buffet costing $15.00 per person. I’ve never stayed at a single hotel where breakfast isn’t included in the room price.
