The Hotel ist Across the American Airlines Center (for Basketball and Hockey) and in the middle of a lot of Attraktions, which you can do by foot. A lot of Restaurants and grocery around, so you don’t necessarily need a rentable car. The pool on 16th floor ist nice and warm and grants a very nice View over Dallas. If it is windy it gets extreme at the 16th floor, That’s the only downside. Thumbs up for this Hotel!

Beautiful Hotel, clean, modern, amazing roof top infinity pool with skyline views, great walkable location, staff was friendly & helpful. Only one minor thing I didn’t care for was the shower! It only has one side glass door so some water does splash on to the bathroom floor and you do get a cool breeze since the bathroom is open to the rest of the room with no full shower door. Other than that I would stay again & Highly Recommend.

I went to see a concert at American Airlines center. The location was perfect as we could walk right across the street. The street is small and had an intimate feel, not like normal downtown feel. And the parking was right across the street for $30 or you could valet for more. We also enjoyed the 16th floor pool. We did not have a great view from our room since there was just construction but it wasn't that big a deal. Also, be sure you eat before 11pm because everything seems to close down around that time. I will definitely stay there any time I have a concert or sporting event at the AAC.

The hotel was exactly what I expected. Nice staff, safe and clean area around the hotel. The location is great with nearby dining options and Klyde Warren park. Rooftop swimming pool its a plus too. Really enjoyed my stay there!

The hotel was under construction so it was less than a luxurious stay, from a lackluster check-in to the entire stay. It felt like I was in a construction zone. Not my typical W experience and not worth the $$$ I paid.

First room, they attempted to put me in, had a "balcony" that was next to construction work being performed and you could see the dust. Second room, they put me in had not been cleaned. Yes, sent me to an unmade dirty room. Third room, had torn couches, electrical outlets you couldn't plug anything in and a TV that wouldn't change channels so you had to listen to Asian DJs talk about how wonderful the W is (in other countries). I had not been to the W in quite some time and it has slipped dramatically. I will never book with a W if possible.

When we arrived at the hotel we where taken care of right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful . Gave us a great place to eat. The rooms where very clean. The beds where nice and very comfortable. This was the most quit hotel i have every stayed in. The staff always was friendly The area around the hotel is nice. If your going to the American Airlines Arena this is the perfect hotel. Lots of places to eat near the W. The curtain was an interesting part of the room. It closes between the beds and the bathroom was the only thing we didn't like. We had a great stay. We will be back again sometime.

This hotel is advertised and priced as an upscale hotel which it is definitely not. Old, outdated and beat up rooms from it being a party hotel. The pool is exceptionally nice and it is very close to the stadium. As long as you are not expecting a 4 star hotel with great service, you will not be let down.

Extremely disappointed as reviews state this is exceptional hotel. Bust and broken furniture on a balcony that was extremely dirty because it over looks massive construction sight not a nice view of downtown. The room has definitely seen better days and showing signs of extreme usefulness mirror rusting and fixture's rusting carpet pulling up in corners. Not at all worth $585 dollars for one night, plus $70 for valet.

Very nice hotel. The bed, sheets, and pillows were so comfortable. We had a view of the American Airline Center. We attended the Mavs game that night. It was very convenient to simply walk across the street to attend the game.

The location was great especially for a hockey game. The rooms were okay. The bathroom is set up differently with the shower and sink open. Also, the open concept shower doesn't make any sense to me. Water was spraying everywhere and it gets chilly. The water pressure, however, was amazing! Also, considering how much the W charges per night, you'd think they could put better toilet paper in the bathrooms and not 1-ply. Our view was also a large construction site right across the street so not a great view but also not the hotel's fault.

For a kind stuido suite at over $600/ night the couch was tirn and the dining room table looked like it had a few too many bachelor parties on it. We asked for a different room, inly to find out we were in the 3rd floor and every car that had loud exhaust wanted it to echo off of every building neaby.

Great location! Quick and easy access to American Airlines Center. Nice room, but I guess we expected a little more for the price. The showers only have a half door, so water sprays on the floor. The bathroom is also only closed off from the room with a curtain rather than a door.

I booked and prepaid for my stay five weeks in advance and the hotel did not honor the booking. The hotel confirmed my reservation the day prior arriving, regardless of the fact that they had overbooked did not have a room for me when I arrived to check in. The staff was disingenuous about their efforts to find a reasonable alternative, insisting the only possible solution was to switch hotels in the middle of my two night stay and return to the W for the second night. I have already been charged for the stay in the new hotel and have not seen any initiation of a refund for my prepayment (even though the staff promised that would be expedited).

This property has the worst management. I booked a few rooms. I booked one room which I paid for through Expedia and then I booked three other rooms which I picked the option to pay when I arrived. When I arrived I gave them a company card to pay for the rooms and put the deposit on. The next day I received a charge on my personal American Express for $1400 for a deposit. I went that evening to the front desk and asked the manager about the charge. He said oh it looks like Expedia charged the deposit. I said well if Expedia charged me it would say Expedia but it says the W dallas charges me. He looked into it and said the charge will be refunded since that card wasn’t suppose to be charged. Now mind you I never have them my Amex at all. So how they charged it is beyond me. Anyways fast forward I still from January haven’t gotten my refund back. Now I am fighting with American Express To get my money back I have emails from their staff stating that they owe me a refund etc still haven’t received it fought with the staff nothing. The worst staff I’ve ever dealt with.

Room was great. Quiet and clean. Valet service was quite slow.Ate breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. Waited 7 min before the hostess acknowledged me and got me a table. Staff was very slow and disorganized. Ordered an omelet and toast but toast come out 5 min after my omelet! Would not eat there again.

The hotel and room was nice. We waiting for a bit upon arrival for valet which is understandable as they get busy so no big deal. Hotel was accommodating of an early check in as well. Pool deck was also really nice. Bed was uncomfortable, we left our breakfast selections on the door to be picked (well before the 2am cutoff) up for a 7:30 AM delivery. The cards were never picked up the night before and was still on the door at 7:30 AM when we checked. We then went down to the hotel lobby for coffee which was out. There was no one else around except for two ladies working the front desk talking and seemed bothered to have to refill it so we just left and went to Starbucks instead. We dined at Villa Azur and the food was pretty disappointing for the price. Everything was super salty and tasted premade and came out way too quickly to be made fresh. The lava tiramisu was definitely not made as I actually bit into a piece of the plastic wrapper. I booked this hotel back in April for me and my wife to have a nice weekend away and overall the stay was blah. I have no desire to ever stay here again. I thought the W was a well known high end hotel and honestly have had much better stays in hotels a 1/4 of the price of this one. I also noticed a pending charge on my card from the hotel for the room even after I had already paid for it through Expedia. The Hotel is telling me it can take a week or more to be refunded due to their mistake. To much mismanagement going on here. Do better

The interior looked pretty average. It looks like they were doing some remodeling, so I didn’t see a whole lot beyond the lobby on the first floor. There’s a bar right across from the front desk, which looked really nice inside. I had a room on the third floor with a king sized bed. I’ve stayed in hotels that were far less expensive that looked nicer. The way the room was set up was very odd. You open your door and step into the bathroom/ front entrance. That room is divided by a curtain (?!?) and and giant door/mirror/divider. The king sized mattress needed to be swapped out with a new one, because the springs in the side I slept on were worn out and I could sink down into. We ordered breakfast via the card you fill out and hang on the outside of your door by 2 am, and my order was incorrect. They had two extra dishes we didn’t order and the two omelets we did order were prepared with the wrong ingredients. We ordered a large pot of coffee and got a small/medium sized French press that we got 3 whole cups of coffee out of. The breakfast ended up costing $77, so that was very disappointing. All in all, I’ve stayed at much worse and better hotels. To me, this was an average hotel, at best that I would not recommend to anyone else. There are much better options available in the area.

A lot not great. Value for money is crazy. Super expensive and not a super expensive experience. Bed was a little hard. AC in room would not go below 75 degrees at night. Phone by the bed would not work. No clear instructions on ordering room service. Ordered breakfast room service and delivered it 45 minutes early and it was cold. 18% service carge on everything and no choice to be less if service stinks. Now the positives. Restuarant while very expensive was fantastic as too the food. Service was good as well but we were about the only people in there. The pool was very nice and had fun. The staff were awesome.
