The hotel is excellent. The pillows in the bed were poor in my opinion. But overall the hotel is excellent. One bad thing is parking. At $60 per day, the cost is excessive and unnecessarily high. It should be half that amount or less.

It was fun. The elevator in from the 1st to 2nd floor was out which made it difficult for my mother to get around since she is in a wheelchair. She had to be escorted everywhere we went during our stay which felt limiting. It is such a gorgeous hotel I just wish we would have had more availability to explore more of it if we had that accessibility and accommodation.

The hotel was amazing with a beautiful interior. Centrally located in downtown with plenty to do nearby. The hotel offers a courtesy car for rides within 3miles so we didn’t even need to Uber.

The Adolphus is a nice old hotel that has a European feel to it. Our room had been refurbished and was nicely appointed. There were two things that were of concern. One was insects, specifically cockroaches and the other the bathroom sink was not as clean as it could be. The overhang between the countertop and the sink had buildup of redish grime. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

They handled a situation upon our first night there quickly and offered us breakfast coupons (linens had not been changed were mysteriously “wet” in the middle of the bed!). They immediately sent up entire change of linens and were very apologetic.

I stayed at this hotel from May 11th to May 12th, 2024, in room 910. During our stay, we encountered roaches in our room, including one in our bed. I have attached photos and videos as evidence. I informed the manager, who graciously offered compensation, but explained that only another manager, is authorized to provide compensation for bookings made through hotels.com. I provided my contact information and was assured of a follow-up call, but it has been four days with no response. Despite leaving messages and speaking with the manager, who promised to call back within 30 minutes, I have received no communication. I am more troubled by the lack of response than by the roach infestation. This was meant to be a celebratory time for me as I recently graduated with an MBA. While I appreciate the hotel's decor and design, my experience has been marred by the roach issue and the subsequent lack of follow-up. Update: I finally received a call AFTER leaving my review. I'm not completely happy with how it turned out. While I was offered a refund for my incidentals or points, I was not refunded for my room. My back was against the wall although hotels.com offered me a refund with hotel approval they were not willing to do so and I either had to take points or refund my incidentials of $87($60 of which was just for parking). The points may have been a better outcome, however, Marriot has left a not-so-good impression on me right now and I'm not sure if I want to stay again.

This hotel had the greatest reviews and was central to some things we wanted to do. We got checked in and went to our room, there was food or something on the drapes, the windows, you could hardly see out for the dirt. The sofa, was torn and had stains all over it. This was an anniversary trip and we had told them in advance, but nothing was prepared when we arrived, had to make a complaint for this and only then was something done. I wasn’t expecting more, I was just expecting something grand and not dirty and worn in my room especially for what I paid. The positive was the staff, you could not ask for better treatment from the staff. That’s the only reason for a four star review.

Beautiful historic property with good food and a decent rooftop bar. There was black mold outside our room, a leak in the ceiling and the room had a damp smell. But the common areas were lovely and randomly the gift shop was one of the nicest I’ve seen at a hotel.

Overall, good stay. Comfortable bed and room. Lukewarm water in the shower for the full stay which was unfortunate. Called downstairs a couple times to let them know the shower situation, but it was never fully hot. Also, very noisy on street during evenings and we could clearly hear loud car noise from the 10th floor.

Property was very nice. Only think I can complain about was out room view. You open the curtains and it's just a brick wall. Which is sad because the rest of the hotel has an amazing view. We weren't told that it would be a prison cell view, just given to discover. Otherwise the hotel was like going back in time. We loved. Next time we will make sure we can see freedom

The Adolphus is a gorgeous, historic hotel. It\'s unfortunate that when Marriott acquired it, it did not renovate the rooms to the level the hotel deserved. Unlike the gorgeous areas in the lobby, tea area, restaurants, and bars, the rooms themselves were decorated with a hodgepodge of furnishings that looked like they were randomly acquired from a hotel furnishings discount emporium. The carpet and the headboard were particularly upsetting. Small details like a hissing toilet and a 1" projection of the bathroom faucet over the basin were particularly annoying- but I chose the Adophus knowing I didn\'t love the room decor. On the pleasant side, the bed was very comfortable and so they get points for that. The QR code for the dining menu is fine, but unfortunately there are abbreviations and zero description for what you are ordering and so the steel-cut oatmeal I ordered felt like it had milk in it and it took me some time (not being able to get a hold of room service) to determine that there was indeed oat milk in it, which was found by finally speaking to a manager, Donna, who was delightful. Descriptions must be added to the in-room dining menu! The steak and frites I had in the ground floor area were delicious. Dontrell, my server was also wonderful. Despite the decor in the room and the in-room dining snafu, I would stay at this hotel again for the absolute gorgeousness of the remainder of the hotel, it\'s walkability to the JFK site and other sites.

Amazing stay for our overnight stop over in Dallas. A few standouts: - The front desk was so friendly and helpful. We had an early start and there was coffee out before the coffee shop was open. Amazing. - We had our dogs with us and the staff helped us understand the best place to walk them, which elevators to use, etc. - Now for the star of the show… valet. I forgot to leave my key in my car (stupid, I know). I didn’t discover it until the morning. They somehow figured out how to park it without it. There is probably some commentary here on how easy my car must be to steal… but they were so kind about my mistake. I really appreciate their help with everything!

Relocated for 5 days due to power issues. Set up office in room. Staff was uncommunicative with serveral points… food, valet, checkin. Many panhandlers in the area and was uncertain of safety. Manger called to discuss issues, but made no attempt to offer any incentives for inconveniences and poor service. Food was subpar for an Autograph location. Service lacking in that area as well. Overall a very big miss. Especially with the stresses already imposed due to weather related power issues in our own home

Many shortcomings in a beautiful building. Check-in staff super cheerful, but our person was very difficult to understand and not especially competent in finding the kind of room we booked. She and others said the room I booked does not necessarily look like the pictures of it online, as if I should have known that. Exec King suite was supposed to have a couch, but they didn't give one. Breakfast restaurant host was gabbing on phone and rude. They advertise local car service, but after making us wait ten minutes told me their single car for that purpose had warning lights and was unusable. Housekeeping didn't come, so no coffee this morning. No tea in the room ever. Never any compensation offered for their deficiencies. It is a beautiful hotel, especially at Xmas.

Really special getaway. We loved the historic public spaces (and spent a lot of time relaxing on couches in nooks), and our room could not have been more comfortable. Great view of the city, especially at night when the lights comes on. Front desk staff were over-the-top welcoming, including for special requests (an umbrella when it started to rain as we were walking out the door for our dinner reservations). Highly recommend for a city getaway.

Amazing stay. In Dallas for our anniversary weekend. We felt pampered and welcome from the first moment we pulled in to valet the car. Beby at check-in was friendly and helpful. We were able to upgrade to a suite. The hotel staff are friendly and quite accommodating. We felt very welcome and the room was extremely relaxing.

OBSESSED with this hotel. This trip was for business and I didn't get to explore and enjoy as much as I would have liked, bc of our schedule, but I would definitely return to explore more of this property. We ate dinner at Rodeo Bar, had coffee every morning at Otto's and I purchased some items from the gift shop. Would love to return and explore the new Omakase and the French Room.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The room we stayed in was average, nothing notable. We got room service the first night and it was some of the worst food we’ve ever had plus with the automatic tip and extra service fees it was insanely overpriced. Maid service the next morning didn’t restock everything. The tv wouldn’t always turn on (would have to unplug and plug it back in). Personally, we would never stay here again. The service/food was extremely disappointing. For the price, it was most certainly not worth it.
