The good - Easy access to the hotel right off of the highway, friendly staff and good breakfast. The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfy with clean sheets. The room had a good sized Tv and a table with two chairs, fridge, microwave. Nice views in the distance around the grounds outside. The bad - Aging overpiced property. the room door had a half an inch gap in the frame so you could see into the hallway and noise was coming through also the exit door in the stairwell was broken and was propped up with an out of order sign on it. Minor Inconvenience yes but there was a large gap as well so bugs can get into the hotel freely.

Not so great. Hot tub was dirty, had to rekey the room, food was not good. I accidentally left a bottle of perfume in the room and discovered the next day and asked if it had been turned in by maid service. The front desk was very helpful and went to check the room, lost and found, and maids carts. Nothing. So, basically, cleaning service pocketed a nice bottle of perfume. Would not recommend or stay at tho place again.

The good: room was great, breakfast was good and had a lot of choices, parking was good, the staff was excellent. The bad: the pool was soooo dark (we took 2 kids swimming after it was dark outside) out of 13 wall fixtures with lights, only lights on 3 worked (we even brought it to the attention of the staff). If there hadn't been an adult in the pool with them no one would of been able to see anyone go under the water. My girls were even scared to be in there because it was dark but after 4 days of traveling, we had promised them a hotel with a pool, and they had been looking forward to it. The jets on the hot tub were not working so that was disappointing.

So disappointed. Reviews were good but i will never stay in this hotel again anywhere. Looks like possibly renovating a little at a time.Rooms were fairly updated and elevator rooms were painted. Breakfast area looked new. Pool room smelled, fixtures looked dirty and hot tub was almost brown. Service was fair, not rude but not overly pleasant. Breakfast ok. Outside looked worn down.

There are other hotels around this property and just off of the freeway so there are people coming and going at all hours, yet you don't hear all of that noise and their parking lot is large enough and well lit, that i have never had an issue. Plus, there is a restaurant and 2 gas stations at the end of the block which is very convenient.

Hotel was ok, the main door and side door kept not working so I never k ew what door to go in . Every morning when we planned to swim the pool would be closed for several hours that was super disappointing since that was the main reason we chose to stay there

Not as nice as other Holiday Inns that we have stayed in. Older property and the back door to the outside opened without a key. It was broken. The hall smelled really good though!

Upside: They cleaned the room, and we did not have to request it, TV and internet were easy to operate. However, the king bed was worn uneven, paint chipping in the bathroom, noisy with loud room doors closing and Saturday morning kids running and jumping in the room above us, the staff was friendlier/helpful and our room was better during our last visit and there were dirty band aids on the floor in the pool area.

We last stayed at this property 15 years ago, and I think it was fairly new at that time. In the interim, it has changed considerably. It is now reasonably worn out. For example, the grout in the bathroom was dirty, filthy and black. There was mold in the corners of the bathtub and surround. The carpet was in average to poor condition and the room had a bad smell to it. It is time to updated renovate this premises.

Even though the hotel was full and the night clerks said they had a lot of kids there that night, I never heard anyone. The room was large and had a view of the mountains even from the first floor. Check in was also extremely fast. I appreciated the clock by the bed with the extra plugs and USB ports for charging. The fridge was larger than what i am used to in hotels, which was nice to keep our beverages cold during our stay.

Everyone was very nice, the breakfast was incredible. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. When we were leaving early in the morning, a staff member made sure to check in with us to see which way we were going so she could let us know what areas are icy and to be careful. The way we were going was the icy area she mentioned and we made it through despite the black ice because she warned us about that particular curve.

Front desk clerk was unpleasant and unhelpful. We called 3 prior to our arrival to request a change from king room to 2 queens. Clerk was rude, short and argumentative. She said “I wasn’t the one who made a mistake “. I told her it wasn’t a mistake and that our granddaughter was now with us. She was so rude I just hung up. Our Granddaughter slept on the floor. We came back from dinner and the same clerk was arguing loudly with a man on the phone. We could hear the customer on the phone. They were calling each other names. A homeless man we had seen earlier was hanging around the check in desk with her. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express’s. This was run down and shabby. We will NEVER stay there again. For 270.00 I expected better.

Electricity was out when we arrived, staff is extremely unwelcoming , felt like they hate there jobs, next day my toilet started bubbling, toilet over flowed , water all over restroom and it came out to rug, I asked to be put in another room , and I got a horrible response ,,, manager told me I can check out if I wanted to , but she will not put me in another room.... I'm traveling with my husband and 2 kids.... horrible customer service. I will never stay at another holiday inn express. someone needs to clean house with that awful front staff , they all sit around playing games on there phones..

Friendly staff. Clean hotel. We forgot a backpack which contained medications, iPad and a considerable amount of cash. The hotel notified us and we picked it up a few days later, traveling back thru the area. Happy to report all our belongings were still in it. Honest Staff !

We compared it to the Holiday express the night before in Ely, Nevada. We were very happy with our experience in Ely. Not so in Pendleton, Oregon. The bed seemed very used. The light in the bathroom went out and stayed out. The tv was small and difficult to use. The breakfast was no where as good as the one in Ely. Quite a disappointment for us.

A lot of hotels and motels advertise that there is breakfast included and then only serve you bagels toast and cold cereal. Here you have a full buffet breakfast with a nice variety. Also, the beds are quite comfortable if you prefer a medium to firm mattress. Had a great rest and a good breakfast which made our trip home more enjoyable.

This is a conveniently locate hotel minutes from downtown Pendleton and close to the gravel bike rave event venue. The staff is professional and pleasant. Breakfast was good (they had eggs, two types of sausage, yogurt and fruit; there are some sugary cereals too, but I passed on those.
