Lancaster Inn & Suites

The property looks like they attempted to update the rooms but it wasn't great quality. Hallways are outdated and smelly. The elevator was a dinosaur and terrifying to ride in. Everyone was nice. You get what you pay for. If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head for a night it is fine.

The room was fine, seemed clean and was comfortable. The breakfast was only okay. I will say that it was a quite a bit more than a Continental Breakfast, the waffles, eggs, and sausage gravy was welcome by all of us. But the sausage was cold, the breakfast area was very small, so people were waiting to get by for juice, toast, etc. The floor in the breakfast area was also sticky which made it feel not very clean. When we checked in, Marvin did a nice job welcoming us and getting us ready. Unfortunately, the construction going on at the hotel meant parking was limited. The neighboring business seemed very strict about their own parking lot and we had to find unorthodox parking on the grass over by cargo containers. I understand that construction can be a difficult thing to deal with but I need to be honest with my review.

Great staff, breakfast was good. Pool was disappointing- very tiny. Mattress and pillows a bit uncomfortable.

Stay was in June. Desk staff was engaging and pleasant. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. My room appeared to have undergone a recent upgrade (old furniture was outside the hotel and handles on my dresser had not been moved to installation to outside the drawers). A breakfast was offered (protein was limited to hard boiled eggs). The pool looked to be clean and ready to go but was not opened during my visit.

Breakfast was very good, people were friendly. The only thing that could have better was the pool should have been a little cleaner.

The property is going through rennovations but it didnt interrupt the service or experience.

The hotel is definitely below average. There was some sort of construction/renovation going on during our stay, with the workers taking up the elevator and hall space. And … the breakfast area was dirty. The young man working the sitting/eating area had no inclination to clean or tidy up. The laundry room was not available, which was disappointing since the website said the hotel had the amenity available.

The furniture in the room was subpar and the room had a strange odor. Everything looked clean but the odor was very off-putting. The breakfast was not good at all. I went down around 8 am and there was barely anything from which to choose. The staff was friendly but other than check-in I didn't have much interaction with them.

Not clean. Outside construction was annoying and breakfast had no fresh fruit or oatmeal as an option. For the price I’d like more especially considering the pool was small

You get what you pay for. The hotel had a horrible smell. We had mold all over our bathroom. HVAC didn’t work. We told the Lady at the front desk and they showed zero concern. Waste of money. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay more and go somewhere else.

Crumbs from whoever was staying from before were swept under the furniture and under the vanity in the bathroom. There was food on the walls above the headboard. The tub spout had some residual, food? Left on it. Looks like the only thing that was wiped down was the toilet. The floors in the room left our socks dirty so we wore our shoes pretty much the whole time we were in the room. There was also hair left behind on the shower wall. We had a non-smoking room that had clearly been smoked in and some type of air freshener was used to try to cover it up. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It’s clear that they are in the middle of renovating the place so hopefully we just caught it on an off day. Expected more from this place due to the higher rating but for us it was not that great. Served its purpose for sleeping there one night. If it had been a multiple day stay it would be a different story.

The room was full of ANTS! There were ants in the bed, crawling on the end table and crawling on some of my belongings. Others attending the event experienced the same situation. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with long hairs ; not mine all over the shower/ tub. There were permanent rust stains in the corners of the shower and wall. I do not recommend anyone going there.

One word. DISGUSTING!!! Found a used sanitary napkin on my bathroom shelf. Good thing I had two queen beds, because the one was covered in hairs. Floor was covered in food and hair. Floors looked like they weren’t cleaned in a while. Turned my socks black. Hair all over my shower walls. Waited at the desk 10 minutes to check in

This hotel isn’t the best. They don’t make your beds unless you specifically ask for housekeeping or you’re staying for more than 3 days. So beds were left unmade which isn’t that a big of an issue. We stayed two nights. The first night was just okay. There were hairs in the towels (that were definitely not ours). The second night, we found ants on the floor by the fridge. I went to tell the front desk about the bugs and all she said was that she would “take care of it”. Not even a sorry. So our stay at this place was a 5/10. The worst part of this experience was just the terrible customer service from the front desk. The breakfast was also lacking but it was free so not much you can expect.

We stayed in a King size Suite. It was really reasonably priced since we were there during the week. The room was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and enjoyed the jetted tub!

Very little places to park and sometimes you have to search. The room was outdated and color scheme of the room was awful. This place needs a huge update

This place was average… the bed wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped. The sofa bed was falling apart, so our son couldn’t even sleep on it. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, and there was hair all over the floor of the room. For what we paid, we weren’t thrilled.

AC leaking all over the floor. The hotel response was to give me a couple towels to put under the unit. There was no apology for this inconvenience. The leak drenched the towels and I had to get more from the front desk. The staff did not come to get the soaking wet towels. I was given a garbage bag to do it myself. A hotel guest was sleeping on a bench outside my door and later another guest held an hours long business meeting on the same bench.

It was mostly nice but in the room there was some sloppiness. The drawer handle between the beds was dangling. An easy fix with a screwdriver. And there was plastic hanging from the side of one of the beds. Just looked sloppy and uncared for. Seemed like easy fixes that just weren’t done.

Great place, except our door did not shut properly. We had to lift and push/pull to open and close.

Some renovations were taking place. Convenient location and good sized room. Upgrades are needed as the property felt 'tired': carpeting, elevator, etc. Needs a freshening up

The suite takes a while to cool down as the AC is in the bedroom and uses a fan above the door to blow into the rest of the space. It’s ok, but an overworked AC created a massive puddle my first night. I found it strange that the bathroom was cleaned daily but the bed was not straightened. No cutlery in the kitchen and empty cans from previous guests in the cabinets. No table to eat on should you actually cook in the room. Breakfast was ok, but they never replenished the hot options after 7:30 am so you are left without the hot food or scrapping the bottom. Even the waffle mix ran out one morning.

Very clean rooms, BUT the Kitchenette is a big miss. Lighted, vented two-burner cooktop but NO pans, cutlery, plates, etc. Also, no dining table.

We arrived at 2:42 for a 3pm check-in, the staff was adamant that we could not check in before 3pm under no circumstances. We stepped out and unpacked the car and to wait the 18 min. in about 8 min two other groups of people went in, but no one came out so I went back in to find them being checked in before 3pm. On our day of departure we asked for a late check out, we were told we could have until noon about 12:10 one person went to pull the car around and I was clearing out the fridge as not to leave any extra mess, At this point the front desk person opens the room door and hovers until we finish clearing the room. The pool was closed and dirty from being uncovered all winter, the lobby couches sank in when you sat in them. The continental breakfast was very good and the man attending the area was polite and helpful.

Or say started out a little rocky as the room assigned to us was not clean yet but the gentleman at the front desk was very cordial and understanding and gave us another room. The room is very clean and we have enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable, clean, friendly, has waffles for breakfast and doesn’t charge much for dog. Management was extremely helpful with rebooking issue. Has pool but we didn’t use.

The gentleman at check-in was spectacular! When we got our room, the a/c sounded like a helicopter taking off. He graciously moved us to another room. We also needed extra bedding for the pull-out sofa. He was quick to get us the necessary things we needed. Overall, a nice stay.

i stayed for 2 nights, there was no hot water the first night and the morning of my last day. There is a gentleman in the front desk who welcomed me in a very rude way and remained rude for the rest of my trip. Very dissapointed.

We stay at Lancaster Inn & Suites 2x a year when visiting family. Always a joy to stay here. Even with the massive renovations the staff was amazing, it was quiet, and kept clean. The staff always goes out of their way to make us feel welcome. Love the newly renovated rooms!

Both the night shift gentleman and the day shift woman were great...both helpful, and friendly. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. ( And Rebecca was all over, doing every job, from front desk to breakfast room refills to, everything!). This will always be our go-to stay place!

We stayed a Saturday night on our way through town. The man at the front desk was rude and not welcoming. He seemed to emphasize the “good guest behavior clause” I needed to sign which was offensive. I understand quiet hours and didn’t like the obvious judgement, especially when their was a wedding party staying there that wasn’t rowdy but we’re loud going through the halls. The room was clean and comfortable just very dated. The breakfast was lacking so much we went out for breakfast. Stale bread goods, no milk for cereal, terribly over ripe fruit. When we checked out we still received a subpar non-welcoming service. It was a place to stay, but for the price the hospitality was lacking serverely and we will never stay again. We let everyone know we saw the next day traveling that it was a subpar experience and can get better hotels for that price in the area.

The people that worked at the front desk were friendly and helpful, but the hotel seemed short staffed. We were there for 5 nights. We found out when we returned to our room for the first time that the only thing that housekeeping did to our room was empty the trash and replenish our towels. We could live without them making the bed, but I expected them to replenish the drinking cups, coffee and toilet paper. The front desk workers said to come down and get anything we need from them, as all housekeeping does is empty the trash and restock towels. It would have been nice if there had been a couple of extra rolls of toilet paper under the sink. One day they did not come to our room at all. On the weekend there was an attendant in the dining area to replenish the breakfast food. He sat where the guests could find him but was on his phone until someone asked for something to be refilled. On Saturday morning, I asked him to refill the waffle batter as the dispenser was empty. He did that right away but did not clean up the tray in the front of the machine where the napkins were soaked with waffle batter. While my waffles were cooking, I clean up that area and also discarded the empty cups that were on the counter. On Sunday when I asked him to change out the waffle batter, I suggested that he should clean the area in front of the machine as well. We were also out of napkins and had to go into the lobby to get napkins. This employee needs to be trained on customer service.

Property was clean. Staff was wonderful. We settled in our room and new tv wasn't working. Staff worked on it for 2hrs. He felt horrible, but made accommodations for a different room. AC in new room was a bit musty, however room was very clean. Shower head was like a pressure washer, so keeping the shower curtain in the shower was interesting. Breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast. Kids enjoyed the pool. We will stay again. The staff was hard worked and extremely kind.

Very clean and nice Reception was helpful. Be aware it is closer to Manheim than Lancaster. Needs a footpath leading to Manheim Township

Nice place in the countryside.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The facility was clean and safe. It is a great location, and our room overlooked the beautiful fields. It was outside of the more modern area of Lancaster but close enough to have conveniences. We would stay there again.

The property was in a good location for our needs. There was no indoor pool. We booked a room with a jacuzzi and was informed that that room was not available 2 days before our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was perfect! Especially for the price!! I was traveling alone with 2 kids and being in a safe area was important to me. The hotel is right next to a farm and some residential areas, yet close enough to restaurants if needed. 25 mins from Hershey which was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was free and they had biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs and different breads like bagels etc. I will absolutely be back next time we want to go to Hershey Park!

Charming old hotel that has been nicely kept up. Room was very nice, large suite type room with wonderful view of soccer fields in the back.

Friendly staff, clean, spacious room, standard self-serve breakfast. We stayed at Spooky Nook during a volleyball tournament. It was a quick, easy drive.

Good: safe, convenient, quiet location; clean and snug room; cheerful and competent staff. Bad: it was the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever experienced anywhere. They offered nothing nutritious. No eggs or other low-carb protein, fresh fruit of any kind, zero-sugar-added yogurt. It was a food desert!

Room clean. night front desk pperson not very knowledgeable. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Gloppy, glue like substance they called sausage gravy, no meat, no eggs, cardboard tasting waffles.....worst breakfast in years,, and i travel alot....will stay elsewhere....

Bed was comfortable. Room not the cleanest. Went to use ice bucket and found a moldy dryer up apple core. Clearly had been there a while. Sticky spill on floor of elevator not cleaned for 24 hours. Pool was refreshing but could use filter to go on more. Scummy top layer from people who used sunblock I assume, and lots of floating bugs and debris. Again just needs filter in more. Breakfast was lacking. Only option for me was yogurt or a hard boiled egg. Not a large selection.
